Has anyone ever used one of these units in a class A rv motorhome?.
- Kenneth D. on 2014-03-16
The unit is very loud and the cooling unit does not coo; at all the heating unit works a little better. I am not happy with the unit.
- Gerald L. on 2014-03-17
I have not used mine in any type of motorhome. I don't see why this wouldn't work well. The most important thing that I have found is that you MUST insulate the exhaust hose, or the heat output vastly overpowers the cooling abilities of this machine. That could be problematic in an RV if you move around a lot and have to install/uninstall every few days. It also states that you should have 3 feet of space around it for optimal functioning, depending on the size and layout of your RV, you might have difficulty getting that kind of space. Personally, I have an end table that comes within 3 inches of my unit, but the space above and below the end table is completely open and airflow is unimpeded so I have had no troubles with the unit's operation. I don't know how much help that is, but overall, I am pleased with this particular a/c.

I am using it in my bedroom in my apartment. I do not know anything about motorhome
- joseph g. on 2014-03-16
No I have not used it in a motorhome; however, I am quite disappointed with it as it is much louder than the specifications say it would be. I cannot sleep with it in my bedroom as it is too noisy. I would think that it would be even louder in the confines of a motorhome.
- Michael T. on 2014-03-16
I have not, but I use it in a 14 x14 workshop. Works well.

Where is hookup for water drain when in AC mode? Water puddles underneath.
- Anonymous on 2014-05-10
A small plastic drain with attached cap in on the rear at the bottom of the unit. The cap should be secure, and can be removed to drain the unit.
- National Spiritual A. on 2014-05-10
I've never had to use the hookup on mine. However, there is a small compartment on the back side of the unit below where the exhaust hose connects to it. I've never had a single drop of water leak out of my unit. But I do remember looking at where the hose would connect during installation. My A/C is running right now, so I can't give you a more specific answer. Sorry that I wasn't more help.
- Noel W. on 2014-05-15
To empty the condensate tank, unscrew the screw plug at the bottom back of the unit. You will need a small pan, approximately 1" high t catch the water coming out of the condensate tank. The emergency condensate tank hold approximately 1.5 Liters of water. Another option is to connect the provided drain hose and drain the unit into a gravity drain or larger pan for continuous drainage.
- CustomerServiceSTAFF on 2014-05-12
We used a large plastic water bottle. There is a drain in the center of the body of the unit - a plastic hose is included.
- Dean T. on 2014-05-13
Why is water puddling underneath when in AC mode? Is there a condensation pan/bucket to drain periodically?
- Anonymous on 2014-05-10
Yes, per the manufacturer you need to drain the unit into a little pan or bucket.
