Question:
Is there a comparison chart that shows the difference between the cyclone 2000 and a standard portable 12,000 btu's air conditioner?
- irene on 2014-05-13
Answer:
The Cyclone 2000 and Portable Air Conditioner are two completely different units. The evaporative cooler is a unit that uses water to help cool an area down. Evaporative coolers are only effective in climates were it is dry, arid, and humidity levels below 40%. Where as a portable ac units needs to vented out a window, does not use any water to help cool, and is not specific to any climate to be effective.
- CustomerServiceSTAFF on 2014-05-16
Question:
Dear Air and Water, does the Port a Cool Cyclone 2000 and 3000 have both "Hose fill and manual fill", or just Hose fill. Also, how many hours will the units run, before having to refill the water tanks? Thank you! Debbie W.
- Debbie W. on 2015-03-30
Answer:
Yes it has both fill options, I have run the unit about 3 hours before refilling.
- joel h. on 2015-03-31
Answer:
Hi. You can fill by hand with a funnel and a pitcher and that will usually last most of the day 10 gallons. The water usage really depends on how hot and dry the air is to begin with. I have used this unit inside the house filling by hand and outside with the hose. Much easier outside but then your cooling warmer air to start with. I have the unit pointed into a window and setting in the shade. I leave it running almost all the time. It work well for the room it's in but only some cooling in the rest of the house. I would buy it again. You will get some odor when you first use it for a couple days and it will go away. Hope this help
- ROBERT C. on 2015-03-30
Answer:
There is a hose fill to screw on the side. Also an opening in back to insert hose to fill. They run about 3-4 hrs, but don't let run dry , just watch it , you can dip stick hole in back and fill while running.
- George J. on 2015-03-30
Answer:
This unit has both the tank and hose fill. We have only used the hose fill so I'm not sure how long it would last on a full tank.
- Russell B. on 2015-03-30
Answer:
Yes this unit has both features of hose fill and the manual fill. Unfortunately we do not have an exact time frame of how long the water will last. It is all dependent of what the temperature in your area and what the lack of humidity is.
- Christine M. on 2015-04-02
Answer:
You can fill the tank or just hook the water hose to it . Last around eight hours before refill is needed.
