This is my third water countertop dispenser, and I wish I had bought it first because I would have saved hundreds of dollars! It is so simple to use and maintain I am constantly commenting to my mate how I wish I had gotten this one years ago. I thought I needed the cold and hot options of the other dispensers, and that's what I bought. But after about two years the heater went out on the first one, so I bought another similar model. The second one had dispensing problems, with the line getting clogged and next to impossible to clean. Both models dispensed very slow. With my third purchase, I went back to basics and could not be happier. The ceramic dispenser is so simple to clean, and the plumbing is simply a tap at the bottom--no lines, tubes or intermediate tanks. The water flows twice as fast as the more complex brands. So if I want cold water, I add ice; if I want hot water, I use the microwave. It's so low-tech it's brilliant! It is advertised as dishwasher safe, however, it is too large to fit in the bottom rack of our dishwasher...so we clean it by hand. No big deal!

I bought this water dispenser for my boyfriend as a Christmas gift and he loves it! He has minimal space in his kitchen so this product is perfect for his bar counter. He doesn't mind that it dispenses room temperature water because he prefers ice in his water so he just gets ice from the dispenser in his fridge. He said the dispenser was easy to set up and the water bottle was easy to install. I have already recommended this product to a friend.

nice looking and simple as well as affordable. One drawback is the plastic sleeve which is supposed to make a seal between the water jug and the cooler. It slips around and causes spillage when you fit the jug on top. This could easily be remedied if the plastic sleeve were flexible, and actually stayed in place.

The crock is indeed white with the double blue stripe and the spigot is also white.

It does hold a standard 5-gallon water bottle just fine. That is what I use. The color is an off-white or ivory. Not pure white or snow white. You can get an idea of the degree of off-white by the spout, which is white. The stripes are blue. This is the water dispenser I wish I had bought first! Hope this helps.
