Vacuum Cleaners and Vacuum Accessories
A quality vacuum cleaner is a must-have appliance for anyone who wants a dust-free home. Dust, dirt, and even animal dander can become firmly entrenched in the fibers of your carpets and upholstery, leaving your floors dingy and your air contaminated.
Vacuums are the best tools you can buy for pulling all that dirt and dust up and out of your carpet.
Air-N-Water.com is one of the Internet's largest vacuum cleaner retailers. We carry thousands of floor care products from top manufacturers such as
Hoover, Dirt Devil, Eureka, Bissell, SEBO, and more. Select a vacuum category below to see our selection of vacuums.
Not sure which vacuum to buy? Although most customers are familiar with the
ubiquitous upright vacuum, vacuum cleaners come in all shapes, sizes, and
styles. Some are better for certain tasks than the others, so if you're
struggling with your vacuum buying decision, you may want to know how different
vacuums also differ in their vacuuming abilities.
Upright Vacuums
When it comes to cleaning wall-to-wall carpet, there's nothing better than an
upright vacuum cleaner. Generally, an upright vacuum will usually capture and
hold more debris than a canister. They're usually equipped with more powerful
motors and the majority of upright units transition between a beater head for
carpets and a static suction for bare floors.
Canister Vacuums
Maneuverability is at the top of the list for canister vacuum benefits, and
these units are great for homes with more than just carpet. Many people like the
ease of vacuuming under coffee tables, over stairs, and on upholstery - an
impossible task with a traditional upright unit. If you have multiple floor
surfaces in your home or office, a
canister vacuum is probably for you.
Carpet Shampooers
If you're looking to remove set in stains from your carpet, look for a
carpet
shampooer. Basic units usually come equipped with a built-in heater that warms
the mix of cleaning agents and water. Small jets discharge the cleansers onto
the carpet, where the agent is worked into the carpet with the use of soft
rotary brushes. The suction feature then sucks up the cleaning agents once the
cleaning process is complete.
Stick Vacuums
For touching up small areas, cleaning spills, and vacuuming hard surfaces such
as hardwood floors or tile, stick vacuums are the best choice. These versatile
and inexpensive vacuum cleaners often come with many of the same attachments as
upright models and are incredibly easy to maneuver. The only caveat is that
they're not meant for heavy-duty cleaning applications.
Handheld / Cordless Vacuums
Like stick vacuums, handheld vacuums are usually meant for touching up small
areas and cleaning light spills. Like their namesake, handheld vacuums are
incredibly compact and lightweight. They're also wonderful for vacuuming car
interiors and furniture. Handheld vacuums can either be corded or
cordless,
depending on the model.
