You know what we’ve decided? Ice cream tastes great year-round. That’s why we were so happy when our friend Jenna with Momma Told Me showed us this recipe for an air fried banana split. It’s a delicious twist on the usual dessert, topped with cream with cinnamon bananas from her Avalon Bay Air Fryer.
Avalon Bay Hot Air Fryer Recipe – Air Fried Banana Split
Ready to chow down? Here’s what you’ll need:
- 3 Tbs. Butter (Coconut Oil Works as Well)
- Bananas, As Needed
- 2 Eggs or 3 Egg Whites
- ½ Cup Corn Flour
- 3 Tbs. Cinnamon Sugar
- 1 Cup Panko Bread Crumbs
Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the bread crumbs and stir for 3-4 minutes, until they’re a light, golden brown. Remove and place them in a bowl.
Beat the eggs and place them in a bowl. Place the flour in a separate bowl. Peel bananas and cut them in half. Roll each banana in the flour, then the eggs, and then the bread crumbs and place them in the Avalon Bay Air Fryer. Dust with cinnamon sugar. Repeat for all bananas.
Cook the bananas for 10 minutes at 280°F. While they’re cooking, scoop vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry ice cream into a bowl. Place a cinnamon banana on either side of the ice cream and garnish with whipped cream and nuts.
