RedCore 15602 S-2 Infrared Electric Fireplace Stove with Adjustable Thermostat

This RedCore S-2 infrared heater quickly boosts my 285 square foot master bedroom's temperature roughly 3? F in about an hour on the high setting. I then switch it to the low setting, turn the thermostat down until the heater turns off, and let it maintain a close approximation of the temperature I want. However, it usually brings the temperature up in the room a little higher than I want as the evening progresses, while it cycles on and off. I usually turn it on at the power and thermostat setting it was left on the prior evening and do not touch it. If I open the door to the master bath it heats it up in conjunction with the bedroom, albeit at a slower rate; this is a total area of approximately 500 square feet. The unit is metal, yet has a plastic door. The feet are plastic as well yet are very rigid. The overall finish is very good and discerning. The faux fire has a striking visual appeal. I know it isn?t real, yet my wife and I like its dancing, glimmering glow very much. Air & Water?s description of their products paints me a very good picture in my mind?s eye of what I?m researching to make an informed purchase. Delivery was swift; attaching the feet and product usage is simple. I haven?t used this unit long enough to gather the impact it is going to have on our energy bill, yet we?ve been keeping the rest of 3300 climate controlled square footage at 60 - 62? F at night. The RedCore keeps the bedroom temperature at 70 ? 3? F at a very low setting. Thanks! Charles

I've seen these fireplace stove type heaters everywhere, and decided to get this one because it uses infrared technology. I prefer to use infrared heaters as opposed to your typical fan forced heaters because: a. they work instantly b. they're really silent. This charming heater arrived promptly and well-packaged. It easily heats my 500 square foot living room and everyone has been asking where I bought it. Thank you, Air & Water!

Good looking product, made well , cold to the touch, and the Embers and flame look great, they say heats up to 750 sqr feet but I do not feel that . You can feel the heat when you are 3 feet away but as far as heating the whole room I have not seen great results yet . Have only run the heater on cold area about an hour . I guess I was hoping for more heat faster. Yes great product I do recommend the heater , also very light weight and good looking in the room. Easy to install legs , I believe most people would like this product.

electric fireplace to heat my ENTIRE home. I have 700 sq. feet of space in my mobile home, and the electric bill was $87 last month (January in Oregon), and I had not yet received this heater until the middle of that billing period. This billing period, I must say, my electric bill increased by $30, and I believe this is because I am using it to heat the ENTIRE home, because in the middle of the night and in the mornings, it is tough to get up and not FREEZE during our winters, especially because my windows are older and NOT at all efficient. If I were working, I would replace them! Therefore, I believe this heater is an excellent buy for all the reasons listed above, and it works like a charm! I got the warranty on the heating element, just in case, because I have that kind of luck! Anyhow, I think I will change it up this month, and leave it off during the night-time hours and use the home heater to take off the chill in the morning until the Red Core heats up. I will see what March brings on the electric bill! I will simply have to suck it up for this month...eeek! Ann S., Brookings, OR

I am so very happy with our purchase of this heater!...it was a good size for our room, runs quietly, loving the flame feature, and the thermostat feature, that keeps the heater from running too much, it only runs to keep an even temp. in the area....and i am glad it is infrared heat...much more efficient than regular electric heaters are....great price, free shipping....i would buy another if we need to heat another space!

the heat is more comfortable than the electric portable fan heater we had been using in our basement. it takes longer to heat up the space than before , but the result is a more comfortable heat , and the unit is of course better looking than the electric heater even when off.

I have used the product for about 3 weeks, and it is very nice looking in my living room. I have a 700sf manufactured home and the windows are older at this time; instead of running my heater, the Red Cove Heater produces enough heat to keep the home more than tolerable in these winter temps (36 degrees overnight). It is aestheticlaly attractive in the home, and all I had to do was screw the legs into the heater base and add the light bulb (included), and I was up and running! I'm not sure how much it will save at this time; I have not received my electric bill yet. I highly recommend this heater, as it stays cool on the outside, so you do not get burned when touching or moving it. Because the heater uses infrared technology, it is likely going to give me significant savings on my heating bill. Great product for the price!

It doesn't get hot on the sides or the top. It's attractive and provides a lot of heat - I was really surprised when we got it - thought it would be a lot smaller. Great product, great price!

Sturdy construction, lifelike flame and the perfect size for the room I purchased it for. It's cute, and quiet and combined with wood scented incense, provides the coziness of a wood stove without the mess. I don't know how it will affect my electric bill, but will certainly save on my oil bill.

I have been using this product in my study for about six months now. It heats this mid size room quickly and effectively. The only complaint is that the fan on this unit is rather loud. Also, the thermostat makes a loud clicking sound when it kicks in and out.

This stove is amazing. I love watching the flames every night when i watch tv. The heater unit is a bit annoying as it blows from a unit from under the stove and alternates hot and cold. I use it in a TINY TINY room, so the close proximity of such direct, alternating temperatures drives me nuts, but when i move it into a larger room, it is absolutely perfect. I love the infared technology because i am sensitive to emf's. It is very easy to and lightweight to move around too.

Originally I wanted a non-vented gas fireplace installed under a plasma tv, but after doing the research I knew for many reasons (to much heat, air quality, safety) that would not work. So I started to look on line and stores at the elecric fireplaces, but they only would heat 450 square feet of space. I really wanted a fireplace or insert. Since I could not find one comparable to the Red Core infared fireplace stove, which heats 750 sqare feet, I purchased one even though the basement family room is 1100 square feet. It keeps the chill off and I run it continually at night. I have not received my electric bill so I don't know how effecient is yet. It arrived quickly and was easy to assemble. I do wish it were larger, but it is easy to move around, quiet, and realistic looking flames.

I can't make up my mind if I would like a digital thermostat or not. Also, the longer I have it the louder it seems to get. It might be that I have simply gotten used to the fan. Because I have only had it a short time I do not know if it is efficient financially or not but can tell you I much prefer this over my HVAC system and haven't even turned it on.
