IRON can stain plumbing fixtures and laundry, even form sludge deposits.

Recently moved to Corpus Christi and got lots of comments on the hardness of the water. Started researching filters and reverse osmosis to soften the water. Decided to independently test the water (water softening companies were offering free testing - but since their profits are driven by sales, I was suspecious of their results). This kit was easy to use and the results showed that our water isn't hard. All the results show the water was well within tolerances. Probably saved $500 to not install filtering which isn't needed.
