This is our second unit, the first one was the symphony Winter wich always blows cold air. We purchased this smaller unit for our office as we like the doors open throughout the day and makes a huge differance in the room temprature. It is a little more difficult to fill than our larger unit and the evaporation material in the back is a little less effeciant than our larger one but it does exactly what we wanted it to do and for the price its a deal. With both units running (one in office and other in shop) we both can work in comfort and without having the large cooling bills!

There is no access to the reservoir. The only way to fill with water is to pour it directly through the filter, which is a guarenteed wet floor, so there is absolutely to way to put ice in the reservoir.

Again, just a great little product. I study "things" before I buy. I am using mine in Memphis, where there is the Mississippi River. Always just about as humid as on the Amazon, and this historic hot 2011 summer, very hot, and my Ninja resides in a 28' Airstream Motorhome, of 35 years age. It is NOT a substitute for an AC unit is this extreme environment, just a great support unit right now, but it is the only thing that runs overnight, and as soon as the Temps return to any sort of normal, the AC will become neglected and lonely. I recomment it to anyone & everyone. The only thing that is stronger & more workhorse, is my Subaru Outback, but anyone with even 70% of brainpower, already is familiar with that Legendary Vehicle. Just stop thinking, go out, and Buy One.

This product is decent for what you pay for it. The screen in the back is cheaply made and doesnt slide as well as it was intended. The fan in it works good and seems to blow well in my large bedroom. The main issue is that it doesn't cool as well as I was expecting. It made the room livable but only seemed to cool it down by about 5 degrees. It doesnt work in high humidity climates, and I live in Colorado and dont have much humidity at all and it still didnt cool that well.

Product works well for a smaller room. It seems to work much better if oriented to receive hot air directly from outside - in front of a screen door on the west side of my house. It is an evaporative cooler, so the water seems to condensate much more efficiently this way. It is somewhat noisy, but so are all non-central air units. I can run it full bore for about 12+ hours without a refill. (Watch the gauge on refills as water will come through the overfill discharge.) For the money and for the ease of use/space issues I think this is a great unit.

It would be very difficult to find another evaporative air cooler as powerful as The Symphony Ninja for the same price. This cooler has a very strong blower, even on low speed it produces a strong air throw which I really like about Symphony coolers. I do like the more efficient honeycomb pad media instead of straw which you find on some of the other Symphony coolers. They state that this unit will cool 150 sq. feet, but in my opinion at 650 cfm I think it could cool larger areas under ideal conditions. I'm very well pleased with the performance and price of this unit however there are some drawbacks to it. The description says there is a humidity control and ice chamber, there is none of these on the Ninja. You cannot run the fan seperately alone from the cooler function where as most other coolers you can and also the electrical cord is extremely short. There is only a small lip on the lower rear of the unit where you fill it with water. You are prone to spillage until you get used to it. Maintenance is near impossible because it is a sealed unit like other Symphony coolers I've owned. Despite these few negatives you cannot beat the powerful performance and budget price of the Ninja. I'm so pleased with it I just purchased another one of these to use in a seperate room of my apartment.
