Question:
hi, thought about buying on but people are telling me its only good during the humid days here in Arizona not the real hot days of our summer(100 plus days no humidity) can you set me straight on this?
- Anonymous on 2014-04-12
Answer:
Swamp coolers function best when there are windows open in the room and a breeze flowing through the room. They are dependant on high temperatures (90 degrees plus) and low humidity (less than 45 percent). Even if the air outside is stagnant, having windows open will at least provide an outlet for the excess humidity that would build up in a closed room.

Answer:
Mine works just fine for me and I live in AZ. Pretty much follow what Cust Service stated below.

Answer:
It's a great blowing EVAP cooler... not an air conditioner working with cold Freon. The strength of the fan is awesome for the price, and keeping it full of water does well in mine (Southern California Inland Empire[desert]).

Answer:
I've been told that too.

Answer:

The manufacturer states the unit may need to have the drain plug replaced or a possible leak with the water pump.
