This heater was a great buy. The product description is true. It heats like the sun! It is bright, but it is efficient and uses very little electricity. I highly recommend this product.

This is the first infrared heater I've ever bought and it's great. It's used to warm the living room (the farthest room from the thermostat) and keeps everyone toasty warm. It's a little bit bright when watching television so it's kept to one side of the room and out of the line of vision. It also reduces the need to keep the central heat and air unit running at a high temperature in order to warm the one room.

We bought one last year, different model same type of heater though. It was great, except for the fact it gave out in three month. This one is not very good, doesn't heat as well and kind of cheaply made.

Our living room is the place everyone congregates at night but it's the room that's furthest from the central heat thermostat at the end of the hallway and tends to stay colder longer. I bought the Soleus Reflective Space Heater to warm things up. It does a GREAT job with two heat settings. I can warm things up fast on high and use the lower setting to maintain warmth for hours. We have two cats so the fail-safe off switch if the unit tips over is a life saver. The oscillating feature gives everybody a feeling of warmth throughout the evening. It's saving me on natural gas because now I don't have to heat the whole house just to make the living room comfortable and the remote control makes operating the heater that much more enjoyable.

I've had this heater three seasons and it is much better than your standard heat dish. The adjustable head and height really make a difference. It never gets hot enough to burn your fingers when I touch the guard. It has a nice carrying handle to lift and move the unit. The two settings, one for instant high heat and one for medium heat far exceeded any other halogen heater. The down side is the ionizer on mine is on the base of the heater, with no button for this function on the remote. The other thing is the tip over switch is on the bottom of the heater and presses up against the carpet and eventually sinks into the carpet and kicks off the heater. Quick fix is to put on a stick on cabinet door bumper on the end of the button. This unit would get a five star rating except for these two items that are on the downside.
