NewAir G73 240V 5,000 Watt Electric Garage Heater with Built In Thermostat

I had been using an old gas heater for many years and it finally gave it up, so I began to talk to a couple men who are using the G73 electric heater for their garage/shops. They told me what they had experienced with this heater, their reveiws were what sold me on giving it a try. Since I have installed this heater I have not been displeased by its performance. I know to give it a chance to warm this area and then it does well keeping it comfortable the rest of the time. This works well enough that I'm planning to purchase a second one this fall. I greatly appreciate the extra room I have found since this is up and out of the way near my workbench, and is still heating the entire shop at the time. I believe I made an excellant choice when purchasing this heater.

This heater is perfect for our needs. We now have them in two sections of our car barn, plus the latest in the garage. They keep the temp. just as selected, and don't seem to use too much energy (can't quite tell yet).

The heater arrived promptly and in great shape. Only have had it installed for a week or so but it seems to have quality contruction and does the job perfectly. Used the dryer cord idea to plug it in.

Iowa winters can be extremely cold! The NewAir G73 Electric garage heater does an effective job in keeping a two-stall garage warm during those cold days. It's great to be able to work out in the garage during the winter months without freezing!

I was looking for a heater to warm up my shop in the winter. I live the mountains of Utah so I can assure you it gets pretty cold in here. My shop is just under 400 square feet with insulated walls. This heater warms my shop up to a comfortable temperature after about twenty minutes. I have been pleased with its performance so far. On the down side it is a little noisy. The wiring directions are lacking (as in their are none) so if you aren't comfortable your electrical skills you might want to have an electrician hook the unit up for you.

The heating unit was delivered on-time and in perfect condition. It was very easy to install and is working as advertised in my 480 sq. ft. stained glass studio. I would recommend this heater to others and I am looking forward to many years of service and enjoyment.

After I had a new furnace put in and they eliminated the (not to code) flex duct supply into the garage, I had to find another way to heat the garage. It's about 500 sf, uninsulated but 2 walls abut heated areas, one exterior, one insulated garage doors -- it's used as a workshop and for working on classic cars. I researched gas (radiant and others) vs. electric. Vented vs. unvented. Etc. etc. Then I found this unit and it ticked all the boxes on what I was looking for. I like the safety of it not being gas, the efficiency of 220, and the affordability. Placed the order, got the delivery, ran the electrical, hung the unit and that's it! Easy. Can't believe how compact the unit is. It's set at half throttle and only runs a few minutes each hour, maintaining 50 degrees when it's been in the 20s outside (this is Chicago, after all...). A little noisy but not bothersome. So all the research I did (and all the reviews I read) really paid off. A great buy.

It's the perfect unit for my garage. I purchased two of them and there perfect for my garage space. I would recommend everyone to by this product.

I am in the Pacific Northwest and the outside temp is 15-20 degrees. I am insulating my attic but the walls are uninsulated. I had an electrician hard wire my unit but he said "it was easy". I am able to leave the unit on level 4 and just turn it on and off at the breaker. After 15-20 minutes I get a nice noticeable heat increase to about 65 degrees. It does cycle on and off as a safety feature but before long I am taking off layers. Nice small size when mounted but a little powerhouse. I am very satisfied!

High mount (or ceiling mount) requires remote thermostat. My problem with that is if you look at the input wiring on the heater one wire goes directly to the thermostat and at that point has a common lead to some other feature. That other feature could be the red light that indicates some kind of fault or it could also be to allow a fan to cool down the heater before shutting off (I suspect it is the "red fault light", but since no wiring diagram is included I cannot be sure, whatever feature it is will not operate with power controlled by the external thermostat.

Great, in a word! It works! My workshop is consistently warm. It does exactly what it is supposed to do and is efficient in doing it. I would recommend it without any hesitation. I am certainly happy I bought it. Also, it was well priced.

My G73 garage heater arrived promptly and in excellent condition. Some reviews I read prior to purchase indicated problems with fan blades bent or otherwise damaged in shipment. This was not the case with my heater. The unit is solidly constructed and the fit/finish were better than I expected. Installation was easy, though I've done a fair amount of wiring in the past. As noted in other reviews, the instructions might not have been much help for an aspiring electrician. The unit was installed in my wood shop (read: two-car, insulated garage). My ceilings are 11' high. Despite its compact size, the heater raised the temperature of my shop about seven degrees F in one hour (from 50 to 57). The temp outside was in the low 30's. I let it run until the shop reached 65 and then set the thermostat to keep it around that temp. This time of year, I'm not expecting to work in shorts and a t-shirt, so if I can just knock the chill off a bit, I'm happy to be able to work in jeans and a sweatshirt. This heater allows me to do that. Note that it wasn't my first choice. I had (and loved) the Reznor natural gas garage heater installed in my previous garage/shop. However, the G73 allows me to save the expense of running a gas line and exhaust. Electricity costs about $0.10/kWh in my area, so at full blast, the G73 costs about $0.50/hour to run. I can live with that. I don't plan on running it 24/7. When I need to be in the shop, I give the heater a 15 minute head start and I then I go to work.

Bought this for my garage when the temps in the winter are around freezing and highs during the day are in the 40's. Our garage get's to 55-60 pretty quickly. Installation was easy with some basic electrical skills. I used a 30AMP double pole breaker with 10-2 electrical wire. Installation took about an hour. Great product!

I ordered two for my shop and keep it at a low heat 65 degrees and turn it up if I need too. Working good for me.

Good heater, small and compact, easy to install, built in thermostat, would like to see that mounted off the unit a little closer to the work bench.Not sure how my electrical bill will be yet. 400 sq ft shop non insulated built in 1950, unit takes the chill off after running on high for around 2 hours, but what do you expect from only 5000 watts.

I have to admit I was sceptical at first due to the size of this heater but once it was installed I was amazed. This heater is able to heat my 22x20 insulated garage to comfortable temperatures in as little as 30 minutes. The average temp outside has been low 30s and this thing keeps my garage 70 without working hard at all. It is well constructed and I highly recommend it. It is worth lots more than what it costs and air-n-water will have it to you hassle free in no time. Love it

I was a little concerned with a review that claimed that this heater only put out less heat than a blowdryer. Not the case heats well a little noisy but all around I am happy with my purchase. The electrician that hooked it up said the reason for the low heat the other reviewer complained of was most likely because it was hooked up to 110 volt.

It?s a compact heater, but don't be fooled by its size - it's amazingly powerful. I purchased it in order to heat a 200 sq. ft. garage, since that?s where I built my little man-cave / home recording studio. Boy, does it get the job done. The important thing is that I live in Chicago, and we really do get some seriously cold weather. Granted, we have not yet reached the height of the winter madness in this town, but we?ve already had some pretty cold days and nights here. The G73 makes my winter woes go away. One thing to mention: If you?re not a skilled electrician (I know I?m not), you?ll need to have one install a 220V hookup for the heater. But since the equipment does not come equipped with a plug ? it only has two hot wires + ground sticking out of the unit ? you can do all kinds of stuff with it; go directly to the box, hook up an external thermostat, build in a plugin, etc. etc. Thank you!

The heater was shipped on time and was easily traceable on line. There could have been more information on the amperage from the manufacture. The thermostat would have been better suited for me if it had been on the front of the unit. Installation was quick and easy. It warms up my 16x24 garage nicely. It is a good product at a great price.

I bought this unit after seeing others in action in friends' garages...just right for the small shop I have it in; I wish this unit was available in Canada because although it was shipped promptly, the freight charges were exorbitant. I'm pleased with the compact size and performance of the heater - was easily able to heat my small shop last weekend at -33C - but I'd love to get my hands on the idiot who moved the thermostat from the front of the unit to the back - most unuser-friendly for the location I need to mount it in; I'll have to follow the example of a previous reviewer and install a remote thermostat.

Wanted a small but powerful electric heater to heat a small portion of the garage that I will be using as a stained glass workshop. This is in northwestern Wisconsin very close to a good sized lake. The wind off the lake really cools off the garage in a hurry. I love the small size of this unit and the heat it throws out. Warmed the garage to 65 degrees in two hours when the outside temp was 15, windy and snowing. Haven't seen the electric bill yet, but I will keep the garage at 50 degrees when I am not using the shop. Only complaint I have: the thermostat knob should be on the front - I have to hop up on the workbench to adjust the heat. The small space heater that came with the unit is great for keeping my feet warm on the really cold days (like -15 to -25). My shop is now toasty.

This heater warmed up my 3-car insulated garage in about 15 minutes when the outside temp was 29 degrees.

For the size it puts out good heat. Not sure what the power bill is gonna be, but well worth it!

This heater works great - I had a kerosene forced air heater but between the noise and smell working in the garage was a challenge - I'm insulating and putting up sheetrock so I didn't have an accurate rating for the heater's efficiency. Note: my garage is 576 sq ft and I knew I was at the heater's limit and even the electrician installing the new line said it wouldn't heat up the area but it did. All I can say is that it fit the bill for my needs

considering these heaters were a fracton of the cost of other brands made me leary of buying them, I was worried for nothing, they are real nice and well worth the price. would recomend them to a friend and buy more if the need arises, and I am kind-of picky on how something is made/works.

This heater has very short recovery time after I open and close my garage. My garage at the moment has minimal insulation because we remodeling our house

I bought this heater to warm up a 20x24 garage in the winter. The heater came nicely packaged and the shipping was very fast. The unit comes with a nice mounting bracket and it is very compact. Please look at the dimensions of the unit before you buy it because I was surprised at how small it was when I opened it. We will see this winter how efficient it is and how much it cost to run the unit.

I have a 24 ft by 24 ft insulated pole constructed building with 10 ft. walls 14 ft ridge. lowest outside temp so far 38 degrees. with heater thermostat set on 3 at the 12 o'clock position . this heater kept my garage at 60 degrees. the heater runs for about 4 min. then shuts off, then another 30 seconds. to cool off. 2 maybe 3 times an hour. for a total run time of app. 12-14 min. per hour. easy install. 30 amp breaker. 10 guage wire. the big test will be when temps. drop to 0-10 degrees I have confidence. it will perform. will spin the meter alittle more. I am happy

Works very efficiently for our four car garage but we could really opt for another unit which would really heat things up. Air and Water shipped the heater so fast I couldn't believe it. This product is very nice and looks good but what I don't like is does not have the cable to conect it I think should be in the box . This is my opinion other ways I have to go and buy the cable some where else and we don't know if is the right one you know what I mean

I built myself a mancave 600 sq.feet the heater is advertised for 500 sq.feet with temperature 30 degrees outside heat stayed at 70 degrees inside just wish the heater had a on off switch.

Heater Works very well. Heats the garage nicely for my puppy. Had a minor problem upon receiving the heater. Turned it on and the fan blades hit the structure of the fan. Had to gently push blades back until they cleared. No problems since then. Would recommend this for garage heating.

Bought this heater about 2 months ago ...Installed in my Motorcycle shop which is 28'/ 36' insulated and keeps the shop very well heated around 60 degrees...Excellent heater for the price..!!

It works good. We use it in a metal building that we keep our dogs in. My wife is a poodle breeder and we have between 25 to 30 dogs.

Bought the G73 to heat my garage, best investment every made. Now I can work in the garage and not have to wear a coat.

It works as advertized. I use for the basement and not the garage. My boy stays down there a lot. He has it running and the basement is more than hot than warm. I wish it had a better disconnect switch and better thermostat to keep the temperature consistent. One website shows using 30-amp dryer cord for disconnect and I installed it that way. I would have paid more for quieter fan motor. It is much improved over the 110v heater we had previously.

I would have never believed that this tiny heater would have been powerful enough to maintain a comfortable temp in a three car garage, but it does. My client thought the same thing and thankfully we where both wrong, thanks for a great product that really does the job!

I purchased this heater to use in my 20x20x10 garage gym that is insulated (except the ceiling) and dry walled. At first I was a little worried about the size, I didn't think this thing could possibly warm up the garage to T-Shirt weather. Surprisingly, with it less than 30 degrees outside it was able to bring the temperature up to comfortable in about 1-2 hours. The quality seems about right for the price (Mid-low), the mounting bracket is cheap and came bent, the front protective grill is also warped after less than a month of use. I hope to get 5 years out of this little unit, then I would say it was worth the effort to install. If you are installing this yourself do your homework on circuit breakers, and you will need the following: 1) NewAir G73 (Obviously) 2) 30AMP breaker (exact brand of your circuit breaker) 3) 10-2 wire (10 gauge, outdoor, THHN rated) 4) Wire nuts 5) Cable wire clamp (protects the wire running into the breaker) 6) Wire strippers This job is relatively easy, but if you are not comfortable with splicing wires, running them down walls, handling a circuit breaker that could potentially kill you, or are worried about burning the house down. Hire an electrician and pay them $100-$200 to have it installed. Instructions that come with the unit are worthless, so don't plan on getting any installation information from there. All in all I'm happy with this little heater, great performance for the money!

I bought the G73 to heat my porch where I have an aviary with about 30+ exotic birds. I live in Florida where the overnight lows are in the 50's with occasional 40's and even upper 30's. I like to keep my birds around 75 degrees. I had a problem with the built in thermostat. It would keep shutting down the heater way before reaching 75 degrees. I realize these type of heaters are really meant for warming garages up north in the winter. So I wired an external thermostat to the G73 so I can control the exact temperature. The heater now cycles on and off beautifully and maintains a constant 75 degrees. I never have to worry anymore whether my birds are staying warm at night. The G73 runs quietly and doesn't spook the birds. I highly recommend this heater, even for us in Florida.

I have to say I was skeptical about this small electric heater before ordering. I went off of the other reviews and I'm not disappointed. It needs to be hardwired with 10-2 wg and a 30 amp breaker so it's a little work but this little baby works great. My garage is 25 x 30 and it heats it with no problem. I have 10ft ceilings in my garage so I put in a ceiling fan for circulation. Here are some numbers in case anyone is interested. The heater takes my garage from 34 to 60 in about 2.5 hours. It takes it from 45 to 60 in about 1.25 hours. I would absolutely buy another one of these if I had a need for one. I price shopped this item online and Air-n-Water was the obvious choice. Shipping was quick too. Thank you Air-n-Water.

I work in a small shop, half the size of a large garage. I was using a portable infrared heater that was causing a lot of moisture build up not to mention carbon monoxide and lack of oxygen. I ordered the New Air Electric heater. Quick shipping and easy installation. Quality product! Now my shop stays at a constant 52 degrees, unless I'm in there working, I crank the thermostat up and keep it as warm as I want. No more moisture build up and no more severe temperature fluctuations. My power bill went up some, however I'm not buying propane and I'm more concerned about the contents in my shop! The heater was shipped to me the same day, and it arrived at my house 2 days later. I installed it in one corner of a 1000ft+ residential garage, and I have been very pleased with the performance of this little heater. It doesn't take very long to bring the temperature to a comfortable working environment. The free space heater had some loose pieces inside and only one speed works, but hey, it was free, and I still use it a lot.

Bought this for my grooming salon. Have a brick building and Michigan winters. This has helped keep it at a more even temperature. Only have had a couple of months, but so far impressed with heater.

Arrived as ordered. Easy to install. Performs well in 22x32 3 car garage (insulated 3 sides and ceiling). However, also ordered thermostat that failed to show up on time as ordered and was costly to return. I was not happy or satisfied with how this was handled.

Ok! You want to talk economics? Nope! It's been a bad year for just about everyone. Talk about the weather? Not a chance! It has spoken quite loudly for itself this year. Where does that put me? My name says it all. So, what does this have to do with the NewAir Garage Heater I purchased? Everything! One would expect a unit that performs this well to cost a fortune. It doesn't but its competitors certainly have. I have tried other electric heaters in my three car garage/studio. The other manufacturers claimed their units could produce the degree of comfort I was looking for but simply didn't come close and the combined costs of the unit and constantly running the machine was killing me. I've tried the kerosene route, which could heat the space, but the terrible smell and the expense of the fuel quickly put a halt to its use. The thermostat on the G73 works like a charm. It regulates the room temperature very nicely without running all the time and in such a large space at about 650 sq/ft. Only the comfort doesn't stop there. It is nowhere near as loud as one would expect. I hardly notice it's there anymore. With the economy as it is, folks aren't buying too much art, actually, I need to produce more in order to broaden the options my buyers have to select from in order to gain some competitive edge. So...when it was too cold to work, I was simply not being able to compete in the already strained market. Do I recommend this heater? Yes! As a matter of fact I have done so on several occasions. I simply don't know how I've gotten along for as long as I have before this little jewel entered my studio. Really! No, really! The NewAir G73 Electric Garage Heater has literally put me back to work. Not only has this wonderful little heater provided me with more comfortable hours in my work space but it has actually paid for itself by allowing me to be more productive. I'm really not kidding when I claim that the NewAir G73 has practically put food on my table. Do I sound happy or what?

The G73 performs great. I put in my garage and on the coldest days it keeps it very warm. We have not even noticed a diffence in our elctric bill.

I bought the heater for my work shop. The shop is about 11 x 24 and has ceiling insulation only. The G73 will maintain my area at 60 degrees or so with outside temps in the single digits. I plan to improve the insulation and expect to see the heater cycle on and off on its own thermostat. The controls are simple, installation was simple, and the impact on my heating bill was minimal. The heater doesn't take up much room and seems very well built. I would highly recommend this unit.

I've had the heater installed for about a month now and can say that it's definitely worth the price. The heater is well constructed and does put out a good amount of heat. The fan doesn't move as much air as some others have claimed but it still does a great job heating up my 2 car garage. Without any vehicles I can bring the temperature up from 10deg F to 50-60 in a matter of 15-20 minutes, with two frozen cars being pulled in it takes about an hour to hour and a half. A few other comments on this heater indicated it does not have an OFF switch, which is true. But I have found when heater is on lowest temp setting the heater will not come on.

I install G73 in my 2 car garage/woodshop. This unit has done a very good job. I turn the unit on about 30 mins prior to going into the shop. The shop is still a little cool still, but the dampness is gone. I set the unit on its lowest setting and garage gets very comfortable. I'm very pleased with the unit. P.S I haven't seen my electric bill yet.

The G73 is my third try for effective garage heaters (I have two) and so far I'm very impressed. I have a 1200 sq. ft. detached garage with a 14' ceiling and have them pointed at each other in the corner of the garage where my shop is. I also put in a ceiling fan to push the heat down. The previous heaters brought the temp up 10 degrees or so in a couple hours, starting out in the 20 to 30 degree range. The G73s brought the temp up 10 degrees in less than an hour. I haven't had a chance to spend any more time out there since I put them in but am looking forward to getting back out there. They are quieter than the previous heaters. I'd definitely recommend them.

Have been running this thing constantly since I purchased it 6 months ago. Here's my notes: * installation was a snap as long as you have an extra 220v plug and outlet already installed; this is quite a bit of an expense if you don't have it already, but you will not find a 120v heater that will do the job * my garage is 24 x 36, so this doesn't actually fully heat the entire space, but it does keep the temps right around 50 where my chemicals/glues don't freeze up; main thing I've used it for is to heat a section of the shop where my tools are, and the rest of the garage just gets a minor benefit * __extremely__ expensive to run non-stop; I will have to invest in another one (or a much large one) to keep the costs down. Make sure that you are under the minimum space they recommend, but based on the heat output, I'd suggest 500ft and under, it heats, but it's not that powerful. Be ready for at least $75-100 in additional costs a month if you plan to run it constantly. * runs smoothly and quiet - no complaints here, and sooo much better than using a loud kerosene/diesel Reddy Heater - not to mention the death fumes they produce I'm not sure of the longevity yet, but I've been running it non-stop (literally) for 1.5 months and it has yet to have a problem. I can hear it humming and heating peacefully every time I walk by the garage, and it has been a nice surprise to walk into a semi-heated space throughout winter thus far. Promo for extra space heater - well, they shipped this in the actual box it came in, so it was beat to death and had a small crack in the top from getting smashed. I understand trying to save costs, but you can't ship items like this in their original packaging! Anyway, it runs and it was free. Crack or not, I didn't pay for it.

Unit was delivered in a very timely fashion and was very easy to install. The initial use seemed to warm my 500 sq. ft. garage rather fast, but it is not as cold here this week. I believe this unit will fit my needs and I love how it hangs out of the way.

This is a very nice heater for garage or shop. My garage is 24x24 and it goes from 50 degrees to 70 degrees very quick and is pretty quiet. Unit is small but puts out a lot of heat in a short amount of time.

I have a small garage I use as a stained glass shop here in Maine. My 1st heater came in as defective but Air -n-Water made the switch virtually painless. Now that it's up and running great the only downside was the lack of a wiring diagram. It's small, compact size gives you plenty of options as to where to hang it. Just waiting to see the difference in my electric bill. Hopefully I'll be as happy with my bill as I am with the heater.

I installed the G73 a month ago in my man-cave (shop). It arrived here in Alaska via USPO and apparently during the shipment the package was handled rough and the fan arrived jammed. The fan was easy to access and I was able to easily bend the problem out of the way and it works great. Seems to be of good quality and it certainly works well in my 28X18' shop. Ordering was very easy online and I wouldn't hesitate to buy other products from Air & Water, Inc. anytime.

Not quite as much heat production as we'd hoped, but it is knocking the chill off. Compact units - we bought two.

I would like a little more heat and a little more air flow, but with the size... so far I'm happy with it's function.

We use the heater in a 400 sq. ft. garage and it does a great job of keeping it comfortable, even when the weather is below 30 with snow on the ground outside. We installed it on the ceiling pointing down toward a workbench. We checked out all of the comments on the heater before we ordered it and we have not been disappointed. Customer service when we ordered was great. It only took about 3 minutes (no trying to sell us anything else) and we received the heater about 3 days later. We would and have recommended this heater to others.

My garage: 625 sq. ft., 9' ceiling, r-19 throughout, 16'x8' car door, one access door, no windows, detached from the house. The heater is mounted almost directly in the middle of the garage so I can swivel it in the direction that I want. Today it was up to 24 degrees. When I turned the heater on about 1:30 it was 18 degrees in the garage. An hour and a half later it was just up to 40 degrees. I knew that this heater was a little undersized for my application but it takes the edge off the cold and allows me to work comfortably in my garage.

The heater works as it should. It was easy to install and had all parts, it also heats very well and keeps my garage warm.

When I installed this heater, I knew it was not big enough to handle the square footage. I have 720 sq./ft. with 12 foot ceilings and minimal insulation. It had to run continually a few of the coldest days. The electric usage was high as expected. Due to electric usage, I will not be purchasing another unit. I will look at a larger unit that might be more fuel efficient. I was able to work in the garage with a 20 degree increase from outside.

I converted my one car detached garage into a workshop for woodworking, motorcycles etc. The G-73 just does what it's supposed to do - it heats up my poorly insulated garage to a very comfortable level even on the coldest nights. I'm very glad I made the investment.

I would suggest having more information on installation provided with the purchase. If the heater is not installed properly it can cause some problems. Overall the heater is ok I was hoping it put out more heat than we are getting the area we are heating is about 400 sq ft and if it is 30 degrees or lower outside it doesn't warm the area as efficently as we would like.

We installed two of these heaters in the children's department at our church. When I opened the box I was afraid we'd ordered the wrong size, since the old heaters they replaced were much larger. However, these were the size that were specified, so we installed them. Now our children's area is warm again. They were easy to install. The thermostat on the back keeps the place at an even temperature.

This unit was said to heat 500 sqft. It does but runs a lot more than my old unit and is much louder. so loud it over powers my TV at 50% vol. I have it in my garage and thinking of reinstalling my old unit if the thermostat was not malfunctioning.

I am starting a new state-licensed home daycare and the garage needed to be converted into a large playroom. We added carpet, painted the walls, but by far the best change was adding the Garage Heater!!! WOW... this small heater packs a big punch! I purchase two G73 Heaters for my detached (fully insulated) 750sq ft garage and they work really well. I was pretty skeptical that they would have enough heating power to warm my cold Wisconsin garage, but they can bring the temperature up to a nice comfort level. I have gotten my first electric bill and that was decent as well. I don't think running my LP torpedo heater would have been cheaper for as much as I used the G73 Heaters. I have recommended the heater to multiple people!

I purchased the G73 Garage Heater and it works very well. I turn it on about an hour prior to working in the garage (standard double garage) and it warms it very comfortably. I live in Northern Virginia and the temp gets down in the mid 20's at night. I installed it myself after consulting with a few electrical experts. The manual that comes with it could be a little more helpful in explaining the electrical wiring. The thermostat control knob location would be better in the front or on the side. Other than that the product is well worth the investment. I am impressed.

Works great keeps my insulated 3 stall garage in the upper 60's and its really cold here now. It does require a double 30 amp which you cant find anywhere in the guide and customer service couldn't answer that question for me. Did have to reconnect some wires inside they either didnt get connected good or came loose during shipping other than that a great product for the price. My neighbor has a Dayton and was twice the price and I say this one works better.

My Garage is approx 300sf we have had outside temps as low as 7deg and the heater keeps it nice and comfortable. Would recommend this product to anyone.

We have had the heater for a few months now & have used it twice so far in very cold temperatures. It works great & was very very surprised how warm it gets & how fast it heats up our 3 car garage. We also insulated the garage doors which helps out tremendously. I was skeptical because how small the unit is but it generates heat very well. I would definitely recommend to a friend/family member.

After installing my new G73 heater, I turned it on and nothing happened. There was heat but no fan. After some disassembly, I reached the fan and found that it could not turn because it was mounted too close to the heating coils. Some bending of the mounting brackets for the fan motor cured the problem and it is running fine now. But, this heater should never have been shipped out like that. It indicates a lack of quality control.

The G73 electric garage heater was purchase to heat my garage woodshop.The G73 works great in about 30 minutes I can feel the warm in the whole garage.I'm very pleased how fast the unit works.I only run the unit on the medium setting.

Nice Heater, I have 600 square ft 2 car garage fully insulated 10 ft ceilings and when it was at 20 degrees outside it was 50 degrees inside . Now with heater running 1.5hrs brings it to 60. Just seems too long to heat a small space 10 degrees. I guess I expected more because the reviews were so high on this product. Nice Heater but don't get your hopes too high before getting it.

Received the unit from Air & Water in just a couple of days, delivery time was a pleasant surprise. The unit was not difficult to install, however it does require 240 volts and some hard wiring by a professional. I have the unit installed in a 800 sq ft stand alone shop building and I am amazed at the amount of difference it can make in comparison to its size. I do have one concern in regards to its assembly by the manufacture. When I first turned it on the fan make a loud racket as it was slightky touchng the protective guard located behind the heating coil. I had to disassemble the unit and reset the fan motor spacing back away from making contact. I am a bit surprised they didn't catch that at the factory, but after the small adjustment it works just fine. I recommend the product. Its not a furnance, but it surley meets my expectations and has given me my shop back as a working place in the winter months.

We installed this heater in our cellar which is 24ft by 36 ft. My husband likes to putter around in his wood-working shop and the temp in the winter averages around 58 degrees, which is too cold when doing fine work. He turns the heater on about 10 min. before going down and the temp. has raised to about 65 degrees which he finds quite comfortable.

The price was good, the delivery prompt, and the heater delivers as promised. I installed in a couple of hours (install instructions are not detailed - my only gripe). I used a 30 amp (double) breaker and 10 gauge wire, which I think is correct. I have a 2 car garage, fully insulated, in central Massachusetts. This unit brings the temp up 10 degrees in an hour. Turn on 30-60 minutes before you want to work and the garage is very comfortable. Will maintain 70 degrees on a very cold day. I'd recommend this heater.

I had been looking for a heater for my shop for some time now and did a lot of research on the internet and found the G73 to be ranked among the top electric heaters. I made my purchase in early December and have loved it ever since. I went with this style heater because I have a wood-shop in a 22x22 building and this heater works fantastically. I highly recommend this unit for this size of space or smaller because it definitely does not get over worked keeping my shop at a nice and comfortable 65 degrees. Thank you New Air.

I am using this heater to warm up my wood working shop in my garage. It is not insulated, but this heater keep the shop at 64 degrees when it is in the 20's & 30's outside. I am pleased with it's performance and I can work in comfort.

Unit works as advertised. Only wish it had a little more power out put so it wouldn't have to work as hard.

I'm using the heater to keep my new garage warm in the winter. I have insulated garage doors and have insulated the walls and ceiling. The floor space is approx 750 sq ft. The heater is working great! I played with the thermostat and set it at approx. 66 degrees, so far it's maintained that temp since. I mounted it approx. 7 ft from the floor, had my electrician run a 240V line to it, and have a typical on/off switch.

I built a 350 square foot one car addition on to my basement. It has insulation on the ceiling and outside walls. This heater handles it very well. It has been in the single degree temps at night and high of mid twenties during the day. I turn the thermostat up when I want and about 15 minutes later my garage is ready to work in. It runs quiet and I am very pleased.

Installed in a two car garage. Heater is very effective in heating the area to 70-75 degrees in about 1 hour. So far, unit is working well.

This unit was mounted in a two bay uninsulated garage. It is inadequate for this situation. I have it on for several hours and it might bring the temperature up one or two degrees when it's in the 25-35 degree range outside. I wired it with a plug & switch so I would not have to climb a ladder to shut it off. This way I can unplug it & use the 220v for something else. The quality seems okay & the bracket is easy to mount. I am sure it will work better when the garage is insulated. I might also cordon off the half of the garage I use as a workshop.

This heater works great. I have it in my garage with 11 ft. walls. We are heating approx. 500 sq. ft. New Years eve we had 14 inches of new snow and it got down to 11 below outside, we stayed up till 4:00 a.m. and it was a very warm 64% inside. Our yellow lab Aspen is going to have pups in a few weeks and it will great for her and the puppies as well. Now that the garage is heated I also have a tax write off. This is one of the best little heaters I have found and would suggest it to everyone. Thumbs up, 5 star, great items.

I recently purchased the G73 and installed it in my garage. It was very easy and quick to install and does a great job. I did not need an electrician to hook up the 220 power source but it would be helpful if some wiring instructions were included with the heater. I have already recommended the product to a friend who wants to order 2 of them.

Our garage is 50 x 28, with two large overhead door. With two gas radiant heaters facing the front of the vehicles, generally the problem comes on cold days, getting the back portion of each vehicle to dry. I mounted the G73 between the two overhead doors and what a difference it made. I can actually turn one off one of the gas heaters. Easy to turn on and off, Easy to direct the heat flow, doing a great job my situation.

Got the G73 this unit to heat my 10 x 24 workshop. Even though I'd read how small this unit is, I was still surprised by it's compactness. It still felt very solid and the fit and finish appears to be very good. The installation was not difficult at all. I had to run a new line and circuit, but the unit itself only took a few minutes. The size makes it very easy ceiling mount without assistance. My shop is in an old barn with very leaky doors front and back with no insulation yet. I need to get things sealed up before I know for sure how well it work, but it did take the chill out of the air and I am pretty sure it will heat my shop very nicely once I take care of the insulation issues. There are only a couple things I am disappointed in. The manual is almost pointless. It would help to a bit more detailed in the electrical hookup for those DIYer's with not much experience. Also, I would prefer that the thermostat knob be on the front.

I've been looking for a heater for my basement - I have a gym setup and it gets colder than cold (no insulation on the walls) down there. I live in a townhouse, and have electric heat, so my options were limited. This little heater does the trick! Heats up quick, and raises the temp in no time. The only thing I wish it had was different fan speeds. Overall, I'm pleased with the unit.

When I first opened the box, I didn't think it would work considering the size, BUT SURPRISE, this Heater works great, quite, I just set it and forget it, keeps my garage very warm, since my garage is under the house and was always cold, this also help keep my floors warm above.. 1. Unit installed in a 900 sq.ft. garage with 10 ft. ceiling height. Garage is well insulated and this unit does a great job of keeping it warm.

Instructions for attaching the ground were not usable, I could not find a grounding screw and ended up making my own. Heater seems to work okay I was hoping for a little more heat but it's a little small for my 700 sf shop. Shipped on time and complete with wall/ceiling wall which is nice. It would be nice to have degrees on the thermometer so I could set it at 35 or 40 degrees.

The system arrived on time and in good condition. It was easy to install and works perfectly to heat my unheated basement. I am very pleased with it.

I installed it in my 21x24 insulated garage. I am very happy with the performance of this heater. Was a little worried at first by the size of the heater, but don't let the size fool you this heater works great, and it was easy to install. I do recommend this to anyone.

We live in a cold and snowy environment and this little heater will heat our garage to 70 degrees in 20 minutes I wash cars and this is a livesaver this little heater is amazing. The customer service from air and water is also great we had a defective heater and had to send it back and they gladly sent us a new one, great service. This heater is a cost effective way to heat your garage a lot cheaper than a gas heater and much easier to install. Let me say it again this is a great little Heater that packs a punch.

Easy to install and puts out a lot of heat for its size. The swivel mount and louvers makes it easy to direct the warm air.

This product was not satisfying as stated for garages or salons, perhaps for individual space. My husband has a small store (800sqft) and he has to put on two other heaters besides this one. Nothing as stated on reviews. You would need to buy 3 or four of this to heat up a place. You also need an electrician to hook up cables and buy a cord for it to plug. Good Luck.

I put the Electric Garage Heater in a 2 car garage. It was easy to mount and fortunately there was access to 240 within 4 feet of where it is mounted. Our garage is completely insulated (except for the garage doors). When it is turned all the way up it gets very warm. I run it at about half on the thermostat knob and it's comfortable all the time. This heater is perfect for the space. It was easy to order, easy to mount and it arrived a day before the due date.

I live in northern Minnesota near the Canadian border where temps drop to 50 degrees below zero at times. I have an outbuilding which is 16 X 22 feet which I need to keep at least 40 degrees and this heater does a great job. If I need it warmer it's no problem. Just turn the thermostat all the way up and it raises the temp to 60 degrees within a couple of hours. That is with outside temperature at 27 below. Hard wiring the heater to a new 220 circuit I had to install for it was a snap. I highly recommend this product.

This tiny heater is amazing. With the recent run of freezing weather in central Indiana I decided to make this purchase. My gargae/ woodshop is roughly 800sq ft and this unit took the temperature from roughly 20 degrees to 70 in about ten minutes. What a wonderful heater!

I am having a new garage built and chose the G73 heater to keep a winter indoor garage heat temperature range that would be around 40F. Even without the overhead door weather seal installed yet, the little heater has no problem keeping the garage above 40F with an outdoor temperature of 11F. That is with the heater set at a below 1/2 of its thermostat's range, allowing the heater to cycle on and off as needed. I doubt the heater would have little trouble keeping the temperature at 70F if I would want to work on 1 of my motorcycles. The garage is 24'x 24' with a 9' ceiling and is fully insulated. This unit, so far, seems to be enough to work well within its new environment. I hope this Chinese manufactured unit will last for a long time. We'll have to wait and see. The power light on the front of the unit doesn't work, but overall it's a nice little unit with plenty of output for its intended purpose.

I'm really impressed with how small and efficient this heater is. I just mounted the bracket on the wall above my 30amp welding receptacle, wired up the unit and plugged it in. Only thing I wish the manufacturer had done differently is put the thermostat control knob on the bottom, one of the sides or the front of the unit. It's kind of hard to see the dial when it's facing the wall.

Just installed the NewAir g37 garage heater in my 24x40 pole barn. It is insulated but no finished inside walls and yet this little powerhouse heats the whole barn and keeps it more than warm enough to be very comfortable working out there. I do not even have it all the way up to the highest level as it would then be too warm. Really surprised that this little heater heats up this much space so easily and already this early in December the temp outside is in the single digits to the low 20's. I'm sure I'll be in the garage more this winter then ever working on my project cars. Thanks.

I installed this heater in a 660 square foot garage/shop several weeks ago. It's new construction with plenty of unheated space upstairs and a big old garage door to let in cold air. The temperature has been below 20F for the last few days but you wouldn't know it in that space. Small package but good results. Still waiting on the latest electric bill to see how that's impacted but it doesn't seem to run non-stop so... I'm optimistic. The only gripe I would submit is that no wiring diagrams or guides were included in the package. Not the end of the world if you have much experience with direct wiring but I could see how that would be distressing for someone tackling that sort of thing for the first time.

I use this heater in my garage which is over 800 square feet. It is three degrees outside this morning and the heater is able to heat the garage to 70 degrees, very impressive for such a small heater. Quality and construction seem very solid. Overall very pleased with this product.

I have only used the heater a couple of days to heat a room of just over 5,000 sf with 10 foot ceilings. I do not let it run all of the time but warms the area about 10 degrees in a very short time. I will have to run a small fan to get the heat down from the ceiling. The thing that I do not like is that the instructions do no included electoral specs ie recommended wire size, amp requirements. This should be part of it!

This heater is well made. Smaller than I thought it would be. Heats my 2 car insulated garage very well. When it's really cold I turn it on a little before I go out to work. Don't miss the fumes from my old turbo heater. Also the free heater I got with this deal works very well also. Don't know how it will impact my power bill yet. I only run it a few hours a week. Hard wiring it to my panel is a little work but not too bad.

With temps in the 20's and the thermostat set on 2 my garage which is insulated stays at 50. Its quiet and runs very little with the powerful fan. I now have a nice warm garage/shop to do my hobby. On a cold wintry day I am nice and warm and I can get out of the house for that much needed relief. Simple to hook up and install. Great unit great service by Air-n-Water. And the free space heater was an added bonus, nice little unit.

This little heater had me scratching my head when I first seen it. No way is this thing going to heat a 40x40 barn with 14 ft high ceilings. Holy crap does this heater warm this place up. It has totally blown any expectations I had away. I want to get another one for my house garage next. By far the best investment I've made in years.
