Nice fan for a desk, does not move lots of air but like I said good for a desk. The fan is very quiet and really looks good. The fan has a 3 position switch that has off and 2 on positions, I would think there would be 2 speeds with 2 on positions on the switch but they were the same speed on both.

I bought this fan for 2 reasons. I was looking for a table fan for a bedside table that was advertised as being quiet. Also, I LOVED the look of the fan since the room is contemporary. The fan isn't as loud as a "regular" table fan but is close to that loud. I wouldn't say it was quiet by a long shot. Also, it just never occurred to me that it wouldn't put out much air. You have to be right in front of it to feel any movement of air. I kept it because I LOVE the look of it. While i wouldn't really recommend it as far as performance, I still liked the look of it more than I disliked the other features.
