Stonegate FP07-03-10-WH Media Console Electric Fireplace With 3-D Flame Effect

Very poorly constructed. The pre-assembled mantle actually fell apart during cabinet assembly. Nails too small to hold it together. The doors were extremely hard to hang, and are slightly crooked even though it's all level. My assembly dream team was able to put it together after a trip to the hardware store for wood glue, clamps and brackets. Also, the warnings on this product are very scary and I had to change the way I planned to use it.

I think I will love this once it's constructed (and will update this review)...but like a previous reviewer, I also received a broken mantle. Severely. What's bothersome is that rather than immediately sending out a replacement mantle (I contacted them the night I received my shipment, 6 days ago) I was told I needed to wait for the manufacturer to contact the seller and then I'd be instructed what to do. I can't imagine if/how they expect me to return that mantle...it's very heavy...not to mention, they have a picture of the deep cracks/scratches, so obviously it is unusable. I simply want a replacement mantle so I can put together the fireplace. Right now the big boxes and parts are in the middle of my living room. I have company coming in a few days. I'd much rather have a nice cozy fireplace under the TV than a bunch of junk taking of floor space when they visit. FYI, the color is a very stark white. If you are looking for a softer french/antique white this product may be too harsh. But I like the looks of it and I am optimistic that if/when I get a replacement mantle I will like it (will update my review if/when that happens).

First, there was damage to the mantle section. Secondly, I received 2 of the same panels marked "K", should have been 1"K" and 1"J". Had to turn one upside down to make it work! Thirdly, the screws to attach the door knobs are too short. Fortunately I had some screws that worked. And lastly, there needs to be predrilled pilot holes to make attaching doors to cabinets a much easier process! I do realize that you are not the manufacturer of this product, but you need to be aware of ALL of these issues. I was able to figure out a way to make it work but I should not of had to! I know I could have just returned it, but trying to repack the boxes would have more difficult than doing what I did to make it work!!!! I love the finished product, minus the damage,etc. I truly hope you will contact the manufacturer so that they can address this issues so that future customers will not have the same problems I did!
