Heats 500 sq ft wood-shop well. Built in thermostat adjust heat and does what it's superposed to do, takes the chill off raising the temperature to a comfortable level. Noise level is what you would expect from unit this size. Has a heavy 30 amp plug and cord and is Built very solid. Had to make a 7kw extension cord to use in existing 30 amp outlet.
5.0 Star Rating: Outstanding
I'm heating a 500 sq ft wood shop. This unit requires a 30 amp 240 volt circuit. Since the male plug did not match the outlet, I had to make up a dedicated 6-kW extension at an additional cost of $100.00. Keep in mind you may need a certified electrician should you need to add or alter circuits or outlets for safe operation. It heated the shop as expected. This unit has a sealed motor and will be used in a dusty environment.
