Eva-Dry EDV-1100 Dehumidifier

I purchased this for my walk-in-closet (12 x 3) because I had seemed to have a "musty" smell probably due to poor circulation. Although there is very little moisture collected (up until now) it is working, because the air quality has improved greatly. I am very pleased so far.

This small unit takes in a lot of water, quickly. It is very easy to empty.

I bought this Dehumidifier to put in the basement. I had alot of water problems and have since solved them , but there was always a linger of musty smell. I put this little guy by the dryer and it really makes a difference. I empty the cup once a week and it has not been full yet. To me that means all my hard work in sealing the basement has paid off and the smell is gone.

I bought this for my motor home to run over winter,the temp on the BC coast seldom goes below freezing.This unit quits working and makes ice at tempatures about 40 degrees.I gess the air gets cooled down more so as it goes through the dehumidifer.I will keep the unit and use it when we travel down south as it's very compact.I have 2 newair ADS 500 that had worked better at the colder tempatures,but the power supply units split apart on both of them just over a year old. and I can't find new ones part# LP1260 buit by comming Data

After years of wondering why our towels were always damp, we finally have a dry bathroom. The unit arrived in record time, was incredibly easy to start up (we are not using the hose thingie), and works exactly as promised. I had to laugh at my husband when he first tried to empty the tank, especially since I told him it emptied from the bottom, and he couldn't find out how. He kept emptying it even though it wasn't full until I asked him to let the unit shut off by itself, just to see if it would work. Presto! As advertised. One of the very best things we've ever purchased.

My recommendation is that you purchase a greater capacity dehumidifier than you think you will need. I live in a small motorhome in Oregon and still wish I had purchased a machine with greater capacity.

This is the second dehumidifier I have purchased from the company. Two major improvements have been made; it is much quieter and is easier to empty the water out.

I've had the Eva-Dry EDV-1100 for about 7 weeks now & am very happy with it's performance. The box says "Petite Dehumidifier" but this works as a giant. I live in the Washington D.C. area, which is very humid during the summers. It's very good for small areas. I bought it for my bathrooms & tested it in my bedroom. I was surprised with it's effect in my bedroom eventho the area is large, but moved it to the baths. The smells are gone whenever I use it after bathing. I must buy another because I've placed it in the music room now to keep the dampness off of my records and stereo equipment. My plants have benifited from the removed water also. The automatic shut off works great. I do unplug it to allow the power unit not to over heat. It drys the air, is quite, and I,ll get another. Good buy for the price and size. It works and is adaptable to living spaces.

We use this in the forward cabin of our boat. Before, the bedding would be damp... now it's very dry and comfortable. The water reservoir is easy to remove. It's the perfect size for this cabin.

The Eva-Dry EDV-1100 Dehumidifier is used in my 24' trailer. It is small (I like that!) and quiet (I like THAT). It seems to continually fill with water, so it's working well. I did have a rain leak between bed and window and tried to use the machine close to the wall. It didn't seem to absorb the water within 24 hours, as I had hoped. So, I guess it might be best used in small areas... like one small room at a time, which is how I am using it.

Hi, We are really enjoying the dehumidifier. It really works great, pulling the moisture out of the air etc. We were so surprised to see how much was in the room and ended up in the container cup. I don't know why I waited so long, to order a dehumidifier. We were dealing with mildew and I would constantly buy the products costing a fortunate, for the mildew problem hoping it would just evaporate and not return. Actually it was triggering headaches for me. Now I turn it on for about an hour according to the weather before bedtime and the air feels so refresh. There are a lot trees by the bedroom which holds moisture. So now we do not have any mildew smell and we feel wonderful. Inhaling the toxic was a nightmare. If you have problems with mildew I highly recommend a Dehumidifier for your home. It is quiet just a tiny whisper. Thank you.

It's been working for over a week now in a basement storage room and so far have emptied it twice. It's very quiet and does a better job than the fancy general electric dehumidifier I was using. So far I am very happy with my purchase, I just hope it lasts!

This machine really works! I won't be surprised if I buy another one! I live in a studio apartment, works great but may need a little help!

This little machine has made a big dent in the moisture that gathers in our bathroom. Our bathroom has a window but no fan -- and in San Francisco winters, opening the window just allows cold, humid air in, rather than getting the humidity out. With the dehumidifier running, I'm doing much less mopping-up of moisture. Would highly recommend this!

I use the dehumidifier in my closet to prevent mold from forming. It collects a lot of water, is very quiet, and so far, I am mold free. It does seem a little small and is a little tricky to empty.

The product has been working well now for a couple months. I certainly feel a change in the moisture level in my bedroom. I empty it every couple days, so I know that it is working hard and removing a lot of moisture that would otherwise be ruining my clothes and belongings. This product has saved me grief and I would certainly recommend it.

These units are fantastic!!!!!! In fact they are easily in the bedroom w/o bothering sleeping habits. Since getting the unit I have had no mold issues. Thank you for such a well made and affordable units.

I live in an old house and was having a problem with condensation, mold, and mildew developing on the walls in my bedroom. I plugged the product in for a few days and then wiped the mold and mildew away. I have had this for a couple of weeks and the mold and mildew have not come back since. I have gotten a better night's sleep since having this product as it is not as humid in my room. You can hear it run, but it is not an annoying or loud noise. I love the auto shut off feature when the tank is full. It is very easy to dump the tank and reassemble. I have no complaints about this product.

The dehumidifier is in an underground room with four cement walls plus a cement floor and ceiling. We store several items in this space. The humidity had caused us lots of grief. However, the Eva-Dry has performed as expected. I empty it about every 4 days. It has helped alleviate the problem.

I live on the coast in San Diego, so it's pretty moist to begin with. On top of that I had an irrigation problem that caused my room to be so moist that there would be physical condensation on the lower portion of the walls. I bought this as a last ditch effort and it is AMAZING. No more water on the walls, no more mold on things in my closet or stored under my bed. The room doesn't have a heavy wet feeling anymore when I walk in. My room is a bit larger than the 1100 cubic feet, but it seems to be doing the job in the space just fine. I have to empty the machine every 2 days, it's definitely working hard. The auto shut off when full is fantastic because I don't have to worry when I leave for a long weekend. I leave it on all day and night, it does have somewhat of a hum but no worse than any personal fan you would run in your room. Basically I'm in love with this little machine and would certainly recommend it!!!

I bought this for my bathroom. It's very efficient, quiet and worth its price. Hope it keeps on working for a long time.

This is too small. Maybe ok for a closet but we have a 400 sq. foot park model and it only got out a tablespoon of water in 2 days of running.

We live in an RV and the winters get pretty humid even here in Auburn. The EDV-1100 works wonders and takes out a full container of water about every 5-6 days. I have recommeded it to a couple of others that have purchased and are just as satisfied.

The first on sent to me did not work. Air and Water did send out another one quickly, which did work (at least made noise when it was plugged in). I am using this in a small bathroom without a vent. Within less than a week, there was almost an inch of water in the container. I dumped it to get a sense of how quickly it was accumulating. Haven't seen any more water in the collection chamber since. Not sure what that means? I also am not seeing as much mold on the shower curtain, or elsewhere as I saw before, so maybe it's helping somehow. With 3 people taking showers in that small space, I would just expect there to be more moisture than Im now seeing. It is very compact, which I like. It is very quiet- I think it's quieter than a ceiling fan/vent would be if I had one. Haven't seen an electric bill yet, though.

As a full time RVer, space is always at a premium. I purchased 2 of these compact dehumidifiers to keep the condensation from forming on my windows in the winter. They are doing the job quite well.

This product did exactly what I wanted it to do. Clear the mosture from my bathroom after showers. It is very quiet...you can't even hear it when the shower is running. I love it. Thank you!

My hot water tank leaked and it happens to be in my closet. I was having a terrible time trying to get all the moisture out of the carpet. It was also starting to smell pretty bad. I purchased the EDV-1100 Dehumidifier and it is working really well. It's quiet and it's doing a good job pulling out the moisture. Plus, it is starting to smell much better! I would recommend it for small areas.

Was having a moisture problem in an electronic cabinet, this dehumidifier, got rid of the moisture. It is a great product for the money. I highly recommend it to any one that needs to get rid of moisture in an area of 1100 cubic feet or less.

The dehumidifier was purchased for an 11 x 11 room in a basement corner, where humidity is a bit of a concern. It seems to work reaosnably well, but is struggling to reduce the humidity in the basement room, probably due to size. Perhaps I should have purchased a larger unit or two of these. It is quiet and effective however, but recently made an odd fan noise until I was able to jiggle it a bit and make the noise go away. No other issues since and each couple of days it fills up and is ready to be emptied. Overall good product.

I'm using this product in my motorhome. It is working very well; I have to empty it every two days. I wish a slightly larger product was available at a corresponding slightly larger price.

This product is great. It has removed the moisture out of an electronic cabinet. We were having bad moisture & mold in the cabinet. We installed the Dehumidifier, the mold dried up, & the moisture is gone.

I purchased this dehumidifier for use in a basement room where I need constant humidity monitoring. The room is 12' x 12' and this little unit does the job just fine. It fills up in about 2-3 days when the humidity ticks up a bit or we turn off the AC, but it's simple to empty and get right back to work! Great value!

I picked this up to keep all things inside my gun safe in good condition. The unit is performing as I had hoped it would. I am very pleased.

Since I have started using these small dehumidifiers in a large storage closet, I no longer have a problem with moisture or that musty, moldy smell. Everything is staying dry and clear of mold. The dehumidifiers get a year round work out and hold up quite well. I would definitely recommend these to a friend.

I use this in a bedroom that smelled musty. It runs very quietly. It collects enough water that it needs to be emptied in about 3 days. It is easy to empty. The smell is beginning to go away. Would recommend to friends who have moisture problems.

It seems to be working because I have to empty the bucket every few days, but I haven't noticed any real difference. There is obviously a lot of water in the air, but I knew that already.

I just can't say enough about the dehumidifier...Collects water ..unbelievably....My breathing problems have improved 90%..Do not have to use oxygen in the home anymore... I have two of them now...and intend to order more for my storage closets...

The Eva-Dry EDV-1100 Dehumidifier is very quite and efficient. I use it as a dehumidifier in a bathroom to help remove excess moisture. Because of its size it fits very conveniently. At this point it is too soon to tell if it has sufficient capacity for the size of the space and the amount of moisture. I am concerned that I have enough capacity, but the size of EDV-1100 is ideal for this space. It would difficult to find space for a larger unit.

I bought the unit for our 1050 cubic foot walk-in closet that was musty smelling. The unit is working fine and maintains the humidity below 60%. The musty smell is gone. I bought an inexpensive temperature/humidity detector to monitor conditions in the closet so I only run the unit when needed.

Have been using the product for two weeks and it works as advertised. The closet is 1040 cubic feet so it is at the rated capacity of the unit. The musty smell is disappearing. The unit is quiet and needs to be emptied about every 3 days.

We really like this product. We are full-time RVers living in a 34 foot 3 slide 5th wheel. In the winters, in particular, when we run our propane heater, dispite the fact that we have some vents cracked we would get condensation on the windows. We have tried the dehumidifier crystals throughout the trailer, and hey worked, but this product, EVA-Dry 1100 does such a nice job and it's so quiet and small enough to sit on our kitchen counter. We are thinking about purchasing a second one to put in the bedroom area.

We LOVE our EDV-1100 dehumidifier. We are full-time rvers. Particularly in the winter, despite having some vents open, we get humidity in our 5th wheel. We've tried other products but when we found the EDV-1100, we found a jewel! It is small enough to sit on our counter in the kitchen under the cupboards and yet large enough to do the job. It is quiet and we don't even know it is working except by seeing the moisture that it is collecting. At this point, we only have 1 EDV-1100 in our 34 foot RV. We are thinking of ordering one more for the bedroom area.

I use the dehumidifier in my bathroom. While it seems to help a little, it isn't as powerful as I would have liked. But it is small and doesn't take up much room on the countertop - which is a plus. I would like the product more if the fan were a little more powerful - but if this one wears out, I will purchase another.

I am always amazed at how much moisture this tiny, quiet machine can pull from my rooms. I have two EDV1100s in my house and plan to buy 2 more! The best part is that it works big but acts small; because we live in a noisy city we hate noise inside our house. This product does everything it claims and more. I am so grateful that Air & Water staff recommended it! I would recommend it to anyone who lives near water, suffers from mold issues, or has a temporary leak.

It's working very well. The humidity level went down within the first 12 hours of use. It is also very quiet.

My home is overcome with too much humidity, so I was in the market for a dehumidifier to correct the problem. The product's performance is outstanding. Although my initial thoughts were that it was smaller than I had expected, it seemed made with quality and packaged with care. It has done just what it was described to do and has lowered the humidity in my room/home.

I purchased this product to reduce the moisture in my room. So far, it has been working wonderfully. I would definitely recommend this to others as it is the best little dehumidifier I've used!
