Soleus DP1-70-03 70 Pint Room Dehumidifier

Purchased product for damp basement. Unpacking unit was a breeze - remove a few pieces of tape holding the bucket in place for shipping, plug it in, turn it on, set desired humidity level, and walk away. I am using a short piece of garden hose to drain the condensate into a sink. If this works for you, it eliminates the need to empty the water bucket. When first plugging in the unit, the humidity level was 80%. After three days, the humidity has dropped to 65%. This unit replaced a Dayton dehumidifier which is over 20 years old and still working, but obviously not as well as the Soleus unit, since I unplugged the old unit and put the Soleus in its place and got a reading of 80% humidity. If the Soleus has the longevity of the Dayton, I will be more than satisfied.

This item performs so well that your constantly having to empty the bucket. Great product, does as stated and more. Has a bypass feature to run to a drain but other than that I would only recommend it having a larger capacity.

this machine is simple to use and really made a big difference in the comfort level.

I installed this dehumidifier under my house and have been well pleased with its performance. Closet doors inside my house that were previously binding are now opening and closing freely. Great product! I just wish I had purchased years earlier. Air N Water was excellent to deal with. I would recommend them to anyone hoping to get a quality product at a great price and excellent service to boot.

This item is the best we have used in our home. We have purchased two other brands prior to this purchase. This item is exactly what we needed in the humid Missouri summers.

Our new Soleus dehumidifier is very efficient at pulling the moisture out of our damp basement. Doesn't freeze up like our old one did. I would definitely recommend this unit.

I have been very pleased with how well this dehumidifier has been working. The process of removing excess water from the air in my basement has been working fine since I started using this machine. The musty smell which had just started prior to ordering this dehumidifier, has since ceased. The comfort level has also improved greatly. The level of humidity in the air is now where I want it to be, and with the humidistat, it should stay comfy and cozy as well. Highly recommended product!

This product is wonderful. My 34 foot travel trailer dried out in about a week. The humidity here was very bad and everything was damp and starting to mold, just heat alone wasn't working. Thank you again.

Had a garage moisture issue in Central Minnesota. The dehumidifier has been running ever since and no mold has returned to the spots that I cleaned.

We have what I consider a dry basement, however, we continue to have a musty smell. I am convinced that our old dehumidifier was not doing its job. It seems to be much better now.

It performs well, and is very quiet. No basement smell whatsoever since I used this machine. I ordered this model in the Spring of 2010, and the company was sold out and would not commit when they would be ready. I waited almost 3 months, and then canceled the order. However, I could not find any dehumidifier that met the quality of this one, so decided to wait until the supply came in.

First of all, I want to state that the vendor, Air & Water, Inc. Did an excellent job of processing my order and shipping. I had a very minor question which was answered instantly. With regard to the unit, I continue to be impressed with Soleus. I already own one of their smaller units, which is truly quiet. This large unit, naturally is not as quiet, but much quieter than the unit it replaced in my basement. I am able to have it drain directly into a self pumping basement sink, and therefore use the bypass hose rather than the reservoir. The fixture for a bypass hose accommodates a standard garden hose, rather than what I call "fish aquarium tubing", the narrower diameter, clear tubing. I have had problems with a different manufacturer's unit in the past - it clogged due to mineral deposits or other fine debris. Using the larger diameter, more robust garden hose approach is far superior in my view. My only recommendation to Soleus would be to do some noise comparisons using scientific instrumentation with other competing units so that buyers may be aware of how much quieter, and therefore easier to live with, that there products are.

I have used this dehumidifier all last summer and it wonderfully removes the humidity and prevented the usual mold build-up we were getting around the baseboards of our downstairs rooms (partially underground). I have found no downsides to this product. It does what it purports to do.

I was looking for a dehumidifer for about a month when I came upon your company and liked what I read and the reviews from other customers and I was very impressed. So I gave it a try. I have had the product for about a week and I'm very impressed. Very easy to set it up and so far it's doing a great job. My basement was a mess from the dampness, and your product was a dream come true. The style was so nice and the design was just beautiful for a dehumidifer. I sure would recommed this product to others .It does what it's suppose to do and better. Anyone buying this product would be happy to own it.
