My carpenter found that, once he had removed the vinyl siding from my east garage gable to access the wood siding underneath, he found the fan easy to install. After installing the thermostat and wiring, and setting the thermostat to the second dot above the 80 degree mark, yesterday, 5/30/11, the first day since installation that the outside temperature got to 90 degrees and my garage attic temperature reached 105 degrees, the thermostat turned on the fan and the fan immediately started cooling the garage attic down through the 4 gable vents installed in the opposite wall. Within 1 hour, the fan had dropped the garage attic temp to 90 deg, and shut off. I would recommend this fan to anyone as long as they insure the the intake CFM of their vents exceeds the 1095 CFM of this per the formula used to calculate how much intake CFM is needed for a given fan CFM. These calculations are available via the internet.

The fan works great and was simple to install and hook up.
