Firstly, air-n-water did a super job with shipping. I was pleasantly surprised to receive the heater sooner than anticipated! (I never received a confiriming e-mail from air-n-water, which was a tad disconcerting, and presents an opportunity for them to improve.) The price was screamin' low and the value is very high. I have a 600 square foot 2 and a half car detached garage and my new heater works perfectly. With the temperature at 2 degrees outside, the heater kept the garage at 60 degrees all night even though the thermostat was set to the middle of the setting. The heater turned off every so often showing that it was just "loafing" along. I think I could have the garage at 80 degrees if I needed it. Wonderful product.

I have one Dimplex garage heaters already and its works great so I brought another on for the other side of the garage. The heaters work great, I have had it in my garage for a year. I keep my pickup and boat the garage, I drive my pickup in when the pickup has been out all day in 0 degrees and the heater works well. I keep my garage at 60' degrees so I will put another heater on the other side so the one does not have run as long. My garage is 30x30 faces north right where the wind hits it. Thanks to my heaters the pickup is always warm wind I get in in the morning. Its as diesel and I never have to use no. 1 fuel because the garage is heated so well.

It is remarkable how small this unit is (about the size of a 12 pack), but it kicks out a good amount of heat. I have installed this in my 1 1/2 car insulated garage and it is just right. I think it would struggle a bit to really warm up a much larger area, but for me it is perfect. I should mention I'm way up north on Lake Superior, so I'm warming my garage against outdoor temps of about 20/30 degrees so far. It moves ennough air you can certainly tell when it is on noise wise, but no other sounds from the unit (clanging, rattles, etc). Had an electrician friend wire it up, but probably could have gotten away with it myself. Very happy for the price thus far.

Pleased with your product as delivered. While handy around the house, I'm no electrician and had no problems wireing the unit and installing the breaker for the 220volt hookup. The heater is faily quiet for the output you get.

for about twice the size of a shoe box, this heater does a good job heating my 2 1/2 car garage when called upon. It has been mild here so far this winter but so far so good. wide operating range which is nice. don't know about the electric bill yet but it saved me a bundle over putting in a gas garage heater.

I bought this heater for use in my garage. The roof is currently uninsulated, so this heater works harder than it should. It does a pretty good job.
As for the construction, it is well built, but has flaws. First, there is a light on the front to indicate when it is on. This light doesn't work at all. Something I consider a design flaw is the location of the control knob. I used the included wall mount to hang it on a wall. The control knob is on the back of the unit, so it is only about 5" off the wall. Basically, there is no way to know what setting the unit is on. I'm trying to learn how far to rotate the knob when I turn it on to get it set right.
Given the rave reviews if this heater, I'm a little disappointed, but it is doing a decent job. As for efficiency, I don't know yet. I haven't had it installed long enough.

I bought two of the 5000 Watt units for my 32' x 42' insuilated garage with 12' ceiling. I added two ceiling fans to assist in getting the heat down to bench level. At 28 degrees F outside it only took about 2 hours to get the temperature up to 60 degrees, which is a very comfortable working temperature. Running the fan after the heater has reached operating temperature to blow the residual heat into the room is a GREAT selling feature and is partly why I recommend this unit to others.

We purchased three heaters and installed them in areas that had water pipes that were suceptible to freezing. One in a pool equipment shed and the other two in large boiler rooms that have large vents for intake air. Since the installation there have been no incidents of freezing and broken pipes. The heaters install and wire up easily and performed very well.

It has been a long cold winter. I should have got a bigger heater. It cycles off and on way too much. It would be okay for a smaller work shop. It is a well built unit just too small for me.

I bought this heater for a three-car garage based on the reviews. It maintains the space at a comfortable 45-50 degrees at the mid-range setting of 4 or 5 (from 1 to 7). The fan is not too loud and it will shut off on its own. Remote controls would have been nice. Otherwise you have to get on a ladder to change the temperature. Great product for the money.

The unit was installed in a 24 x 27 garage. It has brought the temp up to 68 degrees with no one in the garage and over 72 degrees while hosting holiday/family parties and card games. Gives us a large space to entertain even though it is an incredibly cold winter. It is even great to turn on while the kids are outside playing in the snow to have a warm retreat without coming into the house with all their wet gear!

I love this little unit! I had my electrician hook it up in my uninsulated garage, and it works like a champ. I have a 500 sq.ft. garage wood/metal shop with 8' ceilings, and if required by the project, I'll run it day and night. I have not pushed its capabilities, but it keeps my shop as warm as is needed (usually around 65 degrees). It could easily heat the space up beyond 70, but that hasn't been necessary.
The size is great for low ceilings, and even when mounted 6' above the floor, the controls are easily accessed. The adjustable louvers distribute heat near and far. I had looked into ventless propane heaters, but there were too many heath concerns, issues with dust and open flame, and concerns regarding the moisture that they add to the space.
Despite its diminutive size, this heater doesn't disappoint.

The only thing that I did not realize, was that this product runs off of 220v. My electrician installed a 220 line with its own breaker to power this unit. We have an attached garage that is 18X25 ft and this gets the garage warm enough to work in jeans and a t-shirt on a 25degree day. Husband is thrilled! If you are working within 5 ft of the heater, you will have to speak more loudly, to give an idea of the noise level.

My expectations were probably unrealistic. My garage is 34x40 with 10 foot ceiling plus overhead storage another 10 foot at the peak, and insulated. Have a forced-air woodburner that did not heat sufficiently, so supplemented that with this heater.
It does definitely help, but I have too much space for this plus the woodburner to make it T-shirt comfortable during a Nebraska winter evening. However, I used to be ok with a jacket on once it got to 60 with just the woodburner. Since adding this Dimplex, it feels ok in my hooded sweatshirt at about 53.
The woodburner by itself, I could raise the temp inside about 25-30 degrees versus outside temp. With the Dimplex plus woodburner, I can raise the inside temp 35-40 degrees. That is significant figuring I'm warming over 20,000 cubic feet of air space.
Overall, I am a happy customer.

I needed supplemental heat in my garage and did not want to put in gas or a HVAC unit in the wall. I hung this unit near my work bench and it works great when I need some extra heat to get varnish to kick or just to add comfort. I do wish they made a line voltage thermostat available as an option.

This unit is installed in a three car garage with drywall and insulated garage doors. On the cold Colorado nights the unit does warm up the garage and I can work out there just fine. I only have the unit on for a couple hours after I get home from work but the utility bill is with-in the same range that I normally pay.

This heater works great. I installed it in my 3 car garage and even when it is snowing outside I am able to work in the garage with no jacket. If it is really cold I will crank the heater up to the highest heat setting. I do have insulated garage doors which help a lot!

I'm very pleased with the heater. It is performing very well for me in my woodshop. It's quiet and clean and compact to fit in any garage or smaller work area. One thing you might look into to offer with your heaters is a thermostat control (remote) for your heaters. Instead of just the numbered control on the unit. I have hooked my heater to a remote thermostat control, which I purchased at Home Depot, there are a lot of two wire thermostats that can be wired in to the unit to make the control of the room temperature much easier for the end user. I rate your heater very, very high in mounting and cleanness, and also efficiently, scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the highest; overall I rate your heater a 9.5. I installed this heater in my 3 car garage. I hired an electrician to run 220 from my panel. The heater is compact and I think ideal for what I want it for. By the time I got it installed, the coldest of the winter had passed so I will get a better idea next winter of how it helps and how much it costs to run it.
I have one problem and that is when I turn the unit on, it knocks 5 or 6 times before it gets going. Once it is running, there is no knock/noise. When I turn the unit off it, knocks again right before the fan comes to a complete stop.

A Great Garage heater. My garage is 20 ft. by 25 ft. by 8 1/2 ft. high, and this heater does the job. Very easy to install, heats my garage to a comfortable temperature in 20 - 30 minutes when the outside temp. is in the 30's, less time when the outside temp. is higher and maintains a constant temperature afterwards. I highly recommend this product. I am so pleased, no matter what the outside temp. I am now able to work in my garage in comfort. And, the unit is very light and compact, can be hung anywhere. Nice little heater. It takes a couple of minutes to really heat up though. Probably just the configuration of the coil since it's a 220V unit. I Like the swivel feature on the wall bracket. Easy to aim it anywhere you want. Quite a powerhouse once it gets going!

I had my doubts when I opened the box and saw this little heater the size of a 12 pack of beer. But when I hooked it up in my 25x30 basement the heater went to work and in about 5 mins the basement went from a 63 to a 69 degree, tee shirt workshop. We've only been using the heater for two months but so far have not complaints. It runs well so far. It keeps a fairly constant temperature - only varies by a few degrees. As with most electric garage heaters it is noisy.

Last night it was 18 degrees. The heater had been running for about 4 hours. The temp inside the building was 62 degrees. Amazing amount of heat for such a small (in size) heater. I was impressed and pleased. This is a little work horse of a heater that does a good job for the money.
