Front finishes off a minimum of about 3 feet from exhaust so the unit sticks out quite a bit but in a heat wave you can't escape, you don't really care about anything other than something blowing cool air at you. It does that surprisingly quietly when you consider ALL functions of the unit are IN your room with you. I haven't tried a single exhaust hose unit as reviews said dual exhaust on a portable is the only way to go and I'm impressed so far. July 29, 2010
Pro: This is my second unit. They work great, even in an oversized room it takes out the humidity and lowers temp. My first unit is three years old, no trouble. Con: hose connections to unit could be better. I would recommend this product. July 27, 2010
I use the A/C in my living room/dining room area ... a little better than 400 sq ft... it has definitely saved me this summer. I use with a fan to circulate the air and have been very comfortable. My only complaint would be noise but I can live with the noise. .. : ) My house would be difficult and expensive to get central air ... my intention is to purchase another one for my family room.
