Question:
mount on ceiling or on wall?
- Ron K. on 2014-04-04
Answer:
I did neither,i have mine placed on a stand so its mobile ,that what works for me
- phyllis h. on 2014-04-06
Answer:
Neither, this sets on the floor. It works better as heat rises so you get the full effect. If you mount it up high it won't be as effective.
- Marci S. on 2014-04-05
Answer:
SITS ON A SHELF ABOUT 6 FT. OF THE FLOOR
- GEORGE T. on 2014-04-05
Answer:
Is takes more time to heat a garage and a little noise than I thought it will be.
- Sergiy D. on 2014-04-06
Answer:
I just organized my shed and made sure that there was a clear floor space for the heater. Ceiling mount is not an option and not sure about wall mount. Just keep my feet warm, heat rises, and I can work in any temp.
- Deborah G. on 2014-04-05
Answer:
Mounted on wall.
- Bob N. on 2014-04-05
Answer:
Heat rises so I would place it on the floor. I use it on the floor and it works just fine. The heat is going to the ceiling anyway so you will have a better circulation if you use it on the floor. I have found it you set the intake side of the heater too close to a wall or corner it makes the thermostat cycle too often. After the heater has warmed the room, get you head as close to the floor as you can and just feel the temperature. Then stand on a ladder with you face near the ceiling, no one will have to tell you that there is a difference of at least fifteen degrees.
- David K. on 2014-04-05
Answer:
There is a handle on the top. I just place it on the floor. It does't come with any mounting brackets. If you had some kind of brackets it could be ceiling or wall mounted.
- Gary H. on 2014-04-05
Answer:
I have mine hanging from the ceiling. I have it hanging from 2 eyelets in the ceiling with chains and S hooks holding it up.
- Harold C. on 2014-04-04
Answer:
Hey Ron I have owned for two winter couldn't be happier have a 1000sq ft garage with high ceilings that are insulated and I just have it sitting on my metal work bench and that works fine. i imagine if you wanted to hang it from the ceiling or wall you could rig something up but doesn't have brackets but has a handle on the top or at least mine does. Hope that helps good luck
- Geoffrey V. on 2014-04-04
Answer:
Hung it from the ceiling
- Stanton S. on 2014-04-04
Answer:
Hi Ron, I actually hung it from the ceiling of my pole barn. I had seen this on several web sites and knew that any gas or flammable fumes stay below four feet from the floor normally. The manufacturer did not recommend that, but could not give me a plausible reason not to. I felt it was safer than setting it below four feet. I hung it on heavy chain from screw hooks screwed in to the ceiling joists three feet down from the ceiling. It is aimed right at my work bench and main work area. You can actually redirect the warm air flow by raising or lowering the chain link height in the hooks or by slightly turning the hooks to shift the direction of the heater. My pole barn is 24 X 38 feet and it really takes the chill off on a cold day. I have never used it all day and did not expect to heat the entire barn with it, but it is definitely better than any other electric heater I looked at. The thermostat works well and once the temp is comfortable you turn the knob back till the fan just shuts off and it will kick on and off to maintain that temperature. Richard Guy

Answer:
Floor
- Floyd W. on 2014-04-04
Answer:
There is a carry handle on the top that I guess you could use to hang it from the ceiling. However, I just set mine on the floor. I think it probably heats more uniformly on the floor.
- Randall J. on 2014-04-04
Answer:
I mounted it on a column in my machine building because this was a sturdy place and the power source was close by
- Neil B. on 2014-04-10
Answer:
I use my heater in the garage. I installed a small shelf about 6-7 feet above the garage floor and placed the heater on that shelf. This allows me to easily rotate it in any direction to direct heat where I want it. I've had no problems with the unit.
- Ken S. on 2014-04-09
Question:
where is the best place to mount the unit, on the floor, on a wall or on the ceiling?
- John S. on 2014-11-27
Answer:
We have ours sitting on top of our freezer in the garage, love it & you can move it where you need it.
- Virginia S. on 2014-11-28
Answer:
We have our heater sitting on a small chest type freezer in a two car garage. It keeps the garage toasty warm. We love it!
- Donna W. on 2014-11-29
Answer:
The unit will do fine anywhere. I've placed it in all 3 places and didn't really notice any differece as far as which is better. Where you place it only determines what setting you place it on. Cause if it's on the floor it can't tell what temp it is near the ceiling, so you want it on a cooler setting. I mount it on the ceiling now to help push the heat back down. Great unit. I use it in a 1200 sq ft space.
- Michael B. on 2014-11-28
Answer:
Mine is on a wall shelf 6ft. off of the floor and works great
- GEORGE T. on 2014-11-28
Answer:
This unit is portable and can place this anywhere in the area and have it work wonderfully.

Question:
Can the Q Mark BRH562 heater operate on 208volt power?
- Anonymous on 2015-01-12
Answer:
Hello, I use mine with 220v in my shop, but it is marked on the identification tag 208v/240v so I believe it would work.
- Jeremy H. on 2015-01-13
Answer:
we operate it on 220 so it would probably operate on 208
- betty b. on 2015-01-13
Answer:
I have 220 - it works with that
- Floyd W. on 2015-01-13
Answer:
mine is hooked straight to my breaker box 240 so I am not quite sure if it will work at 208, sorry
- jake y. on 2015-01-13
Answer:
Yes it will work on the 208V.
- Christine M. on 2015-01-13
Answer:
I looked on the back of the device at the UL label. It said the following: volts 240/208 watts 5600/4200 amps 23.0. It would seem that using 208 volts would be ok. However, if still unsure, I'd contact the company for technical help.
