Description

When there is excess moisture in the air furniture can start to warp, wood rot can accelerate and toxic mold and fungus may begin to build up which can cause odors and health problems. The Royal Sovereign BDH-550 bucketless dehumidifier can remove up to 55 pints of moisture from the air. The other advanced features included with the BDH-550 are:

New Bucket-Free Design
There are no heavy buckets to empty, no lifting, no mess and no spills to maximize convenience and performance.

Easy Draining and Convenient Pumping
The BDH-550 can pump up to 10 vertical feet and the condensation can be easily drained into a sink, drain or out of a window.

Full Dehumidification Power
Most dehumidifiers need to be emptied 2-3 times a day but only get emptied 1 time a day which reduces the dehumidification power by 50-65 percent. No bucket needs to be emptied with this unit so you receive full dehumidification power.

Nice sized unit. Drain with pump capability is nice. I got an error message in the first month of so "E-3" and had to power it down by unplugging the power cord. Seems OK after that. Lowest RH achieved so far is only ~ 60%, which is not as good as I expected or need for a 10x14ft new, walk-in cooler.

I used the product in a larger room. The product seems to e doing the job. It has lowered the humidity from 60% to 45% and has been able to maintain it just fine. The pump works great and noise that other people talked about is not noticed with my unit. Wish I had the CFM for this unit to know exactly how much Sq footage it would cover.

The product works well. It is a bit noisy but great for an unoccupied room, or basement. It seems to cycle on frequently when set at 45%. This may be due to it being a little under sized for the 20X20 area on the first floor.

This is my second purchase of a Royal Sovereign Bucketless Dehumidifier. The concept is great. You never have to empty a bucket. My first one, not purchased with this company, was approximately 13 months old when the pump gave out. I use it in the basement during the summer months as it is quite humid. The present one works well. If the pump goes on this one, I will not purchase another. The company, Air n Water were excellent and delivered it promptly. No complaints with the company.

I have had the dehumidifier for several months now and it is working great. It has been installed in the basement of my cabin in east Tennessee. With the cabin located on a wooded hillside near a creek, the mositure level in the basement was severe. No longer, the unit's hose is directly hooked up to the sewer drain so it can run continually without anyone being there. In addition, with the frequent power outages in that area, the unit automatically restarts, essential for a weekend place. Overall I am very pleased with this product and would easily recoomend it to anyone.

We tried other units with a bucket and drain option, neither worked when run on auto, they just fast cycled off and on every few min. and the humidity never changed unless the set timer option or just left on option was used. Compressor was noisy on the others, this one is quiet, you hear just the fan and that's ok with me, the other ones rattled and vibrated with the empty bucks in them. This unit is quiet. After a week of 100% humidity weather it brought the house down to 55% in just 1 1/2 days left by a big fresh air return in the finished basement, now set on 60% it barely runs, it cycles off and on and the humidity stays right where you set it. It's simply the best.

The machine works fine; the amount of noise it produces (even in the low fan setting) makes it a bit bothersome. However, the portability and small size of it make it possible to place it in many places around the house; also the convenience of not having to empty the bucket makes up for the noise. I run it for at least 10 hours per day and I am starting to control the level of humidity to about 50% inside the house, in the area where I place the machine. If the manufacturer could insulate the noise it would improve this machine considerably!

I purchased this unit for the basement in my cabin which keeps quite damp. I received the unit in good condition and it was very easy to get it operational. It worked great. Got the basement dried out in a relatively short period of time. I found the unit to be pretty quiet. Could not hear the unit upstairs at all. I am very pleased with this purchase.
