Fantastic Cooler
At first I was more than extremely disappointed with Air And Water. ??But then I realized it was all the fault of the incompetent delivery company that screwed up every time. ??I cancelled my order and re-ordered from a different retailer with a different delivery service. ??Have had the cooler 2 months and it is absolutely perfect. ??It replaced our SubZero that broke and would have been $4,000 to replace. ??This is quieter, keeps great temperature and has features SubZero didn't have. ??Would enthusiastically recommend this company and this unit. ??Just not their delivery company!

Good Product, LONG Delivery
I like the wine fridge. Did a lot of research to finally land on this one. I'm happy I did - it's a good value. The freight company they use is probably the cheapest way they can ship these things across the country. The level of service and competence was low. They damaged the grill in shipping, but A&W are sending me a new one. It took almost a month from placement of order to arrival. Unacceptable in this day and age.??

I chose unit this based on reviews that I read. I have not even received it so I am not sure how it will run. After researching many different brands, reading consumer reports, and talking to sales people, it sounds like many of the wine refrigerators are loud - I am hoping this one is not!

Question:
I need to order a replacement front grill for this unit ?
- Kerri C. on 2014-10-13
Question:
Please clarify what length and width are. Is the length the depth from the front to the back and the width the measurement of the front?
- Diane R. on 2014-11-07
Answer:
The cooler is 23.5 inches wide and roughly 33 inches tall (you can adjust the height a little to fit under a cabinet). I have mine built into my kitchen cabinets, so I don't know the depth and I'm not going to pull it out to measure (sorry). I have it pushed in so its flush with my cabinet doors. I slipped a tape measure in and it's 23.75 from the back wall to the front door. Hope this helps.
- Lawrence V. on 2014-11-10
Answer:
First of all, we are quite happy with our purchase. The unit is VERY quiet. The length refers to the top to bottom measurement. Width is measurement for left to right side of the unit. Depth refers to the front to back measurement.
- Janice C. on 2014-11-08
Answer:
Length from left to right is 23 1/2 inches. Width is 22.4 inches from front to back and the height is 32.2. I hope that clears up the confusion!
- Mark S. on 2014-11-07
Answer:
Another place it was described like this which I believe answers your question.. OVERALL DIMENSIONS: Height:33 inches Width:23 3/8 inches Depth:22 3/8 inches
- Janet H. on 2014-11-07
Answer:
Product Dimensions: L: 23.50" x W: 22.40" x H: 32.20" Length is front to back, width is side to side.
- Travis G. on 2014-11-07
Answer:
The width is 23" across the front. The depth is 23 1/2" to leave room for the cord, not including the handle depth. Add another 1 1/2" for the handle.
- Page M. on 2014-11-09
Answer:
Diane, The unit is 23 inches front to back, 23 1/2 inches wide. The handle does add 2 inches wear it attaches for a total 25 inches in that spot. We installed this under our bar ( it vents in the front( and have been very happy. it's quiet and so far has been working great. Michael
- Michael A. on 2014-11-08
Question:
What is it rated for total energy usage per year?
- Anonymous on 2014-11-19
Answer:
Unfortunately the manufacture has only provided with what the energy consumption will be 2 Amps. This is very energy efficient for a wine cooler and will see minimal change in your electric bill.
- Christine M. on 2014-11-19
Question:

- Jeff S. on 2014-11-26

- Thomas R. on 2014-12-15

This unit is very quiet. you have to be very close to hear the unit, in fact I never notice the motor running unless I open the door and hear it cycle on.
- Mark S. on 2014-12-14
Answer:
It is whisper quiet. We have it in our dining / great room area and would not hear it runnin unless you open the door.
- Sandra P. on 2014-12-14
Answer:
I find it to be very quiet! Of course, when the fan runs, you know the fan is running. But on a scale of 1-10, with "7" being a dishwasher, I'd give this a sound level of 3
- Najibeh S. on 2014-12-14
Answer:
It is very quiet. It runs but not noticeably. Ours is embedded in a cabinet which may help. If out in the open, I have no clue how loud it is.
- Maryann B. on 2014-12-14

We purchased this about a year ago. No issues of my kind. I think it is very quiet, but I have it in the bar area. We built a regular bar in our home and not next to the dinner table. I never hear or notice any noise from it. Hope that helps Michael Grand Rapids, Michigan
- Michael A. on 2014-12-14
Answer:
Yes it is quite, I would compare to a refrigerator in a kitchen.
- Gary B. on 2014-12-14
Answer:
Yes - I have it in my dining room and don't hear it at all.
- Bridget S. on 2014-12-14

To tell the truth, I haven't noticed any noise at all. Mine is in my dining room. I hadn't thouht to sk that question so glad Iucked out.
- Janet H. on 2014-12-14
Answer:
Hi there, its sure is, in fact I have 2 different of these in my dining room. Very, very quiet!
- Travis G. on 2014-12-14
Answer:
Yes,I replaced a dishwasher under counter in a media room and I cannot hear it at all.
- Michael A. on 2014-12-14
Answer:
Yes it is.
- Lois T. on 2014-12-14
Answer:
Yes very quiet
- Jon M. on 2014-12-15
Answer:
Yes it is. It was noisy when I first set it up but then I adjusted the feet per the instructions and it purrs like a kitten now. I have it in an island by my dining room and seldom notice when the compressor comes on. Keep it closed and the compressor only comes on a few times a day anyway.
- Sid L. on 2014-12-15
Answer:
I have this unit installed under-cabinet in the kitchen. But my house has an open floor plan, and thus the kitchen is open to the living and dining areas. On some occassions I can hear the unit when it is running, but with the daily noise in my living space like the TV, music, etc., I do not hear the unit at all. Installing it in your dining area would be a matter of preference. Although this unit runs very quiet, you will hear it when it is running.
- Tony C. on 2014-12-15
Question:
does this model have a compressor or is it thermoelectric?
- Anonymous on 2014-12-23
Answer:
Good question. The specs say it is a dual zone compressor wine cooler. However the owners manual says nothing about a compressor, it is not shown in the parts diagram nor in the cleaning and maintenance section. I have been thinking about contacting newair to inquirer about it's location in the wine cooler for maintenance when the time comes for cleaning.
- Donald C. on 2014-12-23
Answer:
This unit does indeed use a compressor and is also front venting so it can be built in to a cabinet or counter.
- Mark S. on 2014-12-23
Question:
Are the racks adjustable to fit champagne bottles?
- Anonymous on 2015-01-12
Answer:
The racks are indeed removable, not adjustable. If racks need to be removed to fit the bottles, that is always an option. We have also received feedback that some champagne bottles can fit in the wine cooler. It is just going to depend on the individual bottle.
- Mark S. on 2015-01-12
Answer:
The racks are removable, not adjustable. That said, there is enough room to store champagne bottles without removing shelves. I have a number of champagne bottles in my wine cooler. I'm quite pleased with the product.
- Brian H. on 2015-01-12
Question:
A small clear plastic box came with cooler and a small black rubber piece, but there is no instructions of where they go?
- moreair on 2015-01-13
Answer:
not a q for me.....i can't remember where i was last night let alone plastic boxes and small black rubber thingys from months ago....sorry....that is a q for the company
- robert r. on 2015-01-13
Answer:
Just found this answer: The plastic box is to add humidity to the cooler. If the relative humidity in the cooler is too low, the corks can dry out which can cause air to get into the wine and oxidize it. The black rubber piece is only used in shipping in order to keep the door in place and to prevent shipping damage. That can be thrown away after unpackaging your cooler.
- Barry W. on 2015-01-13
Answer:
Hahaha, I wish I knew! Had the same questions and never received an answer. Strange. Good luck!
- Barry W. on 2015-01-13
Answer:
Hello, The plastic box is to add humidity to the cooler. If the relative humidity in the cooler is too low, the corks can dry out which can cause air to get into the wine and oxidize it. - Mark S. on 2015-01-13
Answer:
The small clear plastic box: Fill it with water and put it on the middle lower shelfs. It is just adding moisture to your wine cooler. Needs to be cleaned and refilled every few months.
- Michael A. on 2015-01-13
Answer:
I've been wondering the same thing. I thought perhaps is was some sort of drip tray, but I can't find a place to put it. Right now it's in a drawer in the wet bar. I hope someone has a better place for it!
- Jonathan S. on 2015-01-13
Answer:
I believe it to be a water box to keep humidity at a low level so as not to damage the corks
- Najibeh S. on 2015-01-13
Answer:
Depending on the size of the small rubber piece, its probably to cover the whole at the top were you can lock the door, or cover wholes if you switch the door. I received the small plastic box, but have no idea what its for either.
- Travis G. on 2015-01-13
Answer:
Sorry to say I can't help with that question. Those items came with my unit but I put them aside since there was no mention of them in the instructions. The unit has worked perfectly from the beginning and is very quiet. I recommend this product.
- Janice C. on 2015-01-13
Answer:
I was wondering the same thing! It's sitting on my counter and u have no idea what to do with it!
