I chose this cooler due to reading a lot of different on-line reviews on both NewAir and others manufactures and picked the NewAir because of high ratings from other users. I considered the Thermal Electric but having a dad who is in the refrigeration business, chose the more reliable (temp control as well as longevity) compressor type.
Pros: Cooler arrived on time and was packaged very well. Installing the door handle is the only thing you need to do and was easy. The cooler is a nice addition to my dinning area and although some complained it was noisy, I didn't find it any different than my refrigerator. The bottles fit nicely, including a few that are slightly irregular. The bottom shelf is nice for other "odd" shaped ones.
Cons: I had to adjust the door to make it level, but doing so was quick and easy. The cooler's compressor seems to run a little more than I would expect. I also would like to see a temperature "memory" setting because every-time the electric flickers or goes out , I have to reset it to my desired temp as well as changing the units from C to F.
Overall: I would recommend and purchase this wine cooler again.

I just ordered this a month ago and so far, absolutely love it. I particularly enjoy the blue light inside, it gives off a great soft glow that shows off our wine collection, perfect for when we dim the kitchen lights.
I know I've had a very hard time finding a large enough cooler that I still liked the look of, but this piece fits in perfectly with our modern kitchen (even classes it up) - especially the stainless steel accents.
My husband said the temperature has held extremely consistent and I particularly like being able to read the temps digitally so I can see with just a glance that it's right.
We've had numerous NewAir products over the years and have always been impressed with the quality, so I'd highly recommend this to anyone looking to store their collection of wine.

I checked out a lot of thermoelectric wine coolers where they were cheaper than this compressor cooler, but the reviews for all of them were just very poor which is why I took the chance and bought this one. Glad I did, this is NOT near as noisy as I thought it would be while running. In fact, I had to get close to it to hear it! And, once it is set to a temperature, it doesn't run very often. I love chilled wine (both white and red), so I have mine set to 45 degrees. When it warms up to 46 degrees, it begins running, shuts off at 45...real tight tolerance! I like the three blue LED's inside, but they are all mounted in one spot at the top center of the cooler, so one cannot really see too much inside. I think an improvement would have been to mount the LED's not just in the center, but at the sides as well. In all, I love this cooler with the black body and stainless steel and glass door. Highly recommend this cooler over the other thermoelectric ones for longevity.

This was shipped as a gift for a friend from the CA warehouse to a location within CA. Shipping was quicker than expected. The unit quickly achieves the temperature desired and seems to hold it well. Not sure why the default is to centigrade and this happens each time it is unplugged. While not difficult to change, I would think for a US market it would come preset.
The only problem encountered was that the packaging was not very solid. The unit had damage to the door from what appeared to be a forklift or hand truck. The damage was in the middle of the door and on both the exterior and forward facing trim. When the handle was attached it hid most of the damage and the recipient decided to keep it rather than go through the hassle of returning.
Based on this issue, I could only give this a average rating.

I WAS LOOKING FOR A NEW WINE COOLER, MY OLD ONE WAS STARTING TO GIVE ME PROBLEMS! I FOUND THIS ONE ON LINE AND I RESEARCHED IT AND I BOUGHT IT! THE PRICE WAS RIGHT AND THE FREE DELIVERY SOUNDED GREAT! IT CAME IN ABOUT A WEEK. I CHOSE A COMPRESSOR TYPE AND THE TEMPERATURE HOLDS TO THE SETTING. NICE LOOKING AND IT SERVES ME VERY WELL. JUST ONE COMMENT TO MAKE, THE LOCKING DEVICE IS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE COOLER DOOR, ITS TOO FAR DOWN TO REACH IT COMFORTABLY. IF IT WAS AT THE TOP OF THE DOOR INSTEAD OF THE BOTTOM IT WOULD MAKE IT MORE COMFORTABLE!

This is a great wine cellar, streamlined, modern and perfectly suited to preserve a moderate selection of wine. In the bottom "bin" I've placed 2 sparkling bottles, 2 dessert wine bottles and 2 large craft beer bottles. I like the versatility this section provides. Overall performance has been excellent, with the temperature holding steady even when packed full. I highly recommend the compressor version of this cellar as opposed to the thermoelectric units for this very reason. Other pros: Nice styling, with they "NewAir" logo being at the bottom of the fridge in simple capital letters. (My fridge differs from the images appearing on the website.) The blue lighting is unique and provides enough illumination to find your bottle even without ambient room lighting. I also like the footprint of this cellar, it being slightly taller than most and taking up a smaller square of floor space. Additionally, the compressor noise is hardly noticeable compared with a kitchen refridgerator. My only con: the unit arrived scratched on the interior, where the bottom bin's metal fastener had come out of the mounting holes on the left side. I had to re-bend the piece back into place. However function was not effected, so no problem. Again, I highly recommend this wine cellar. Great price, excellent performance, perfect for my library/study, and it's exactly the size I wanted.

In general, I am very happy with my purchase. Air & Water had the refrigerator deliverd much faster than promised and in perfect condition. Assembly took only minutes with a phillips head screwdriver. Very solid construction, particularly the heavy, well insulated door. I like the capacity and the ability to hold even broader based bottles, as well as a location at the bottom for magnum and champagne bottles. Temperature has been very consistent since I turned it on, and the noise minimal. My only complaints are that it has a rough, metal bar welded to the bottom rear in lieu of legs, and only one adjustable "leg" in the front which made leveling a bit of a pain. Also, I would have preferred a more finished look for the stainless facade (seams on top and sides were obvious). I absolutely recommend this unit to anyone looking for a medium capacity, free standing wine refrigerator.

We were replacing a thermo electric wine cooler that had only lasted for approximately one and a half years. This new cooler arrived on time and was exactly what we were looking for. Called on a Friday afternoon and talked to an amazingly helpful representative. She helped me determine which product was best for my needs, which was the 27 bottle compressor model. It shipped out that afternoon, and arrived 3 days later. Fantastic product, takes about 5 minutes to unpack and screw the handle on. Plugged it in for 30 minutes to let compressor settle and it was ready for operation. I prefer the compressor model because I wanted it to cool my whites down into the mid 40's. This makes the same amount of noise as any small fridge would. Just a slight buz when compressor is running. Love the blue lighting and temp readout. If you are a wine drinker, you need one of these. It's also a very attractive decorative piece. Thank you air and water for providing great products like this:-)

The unit performs as expected as it pertains to maintain a constant temperature, but there are several issues I have with it that prevent me from rating it excellent. The main issue is the noise and vibration that the compressor makes. When the compressor is running you can hear it from the next room. Not loud, but just annoying. Thankfully it only runs for a short time (however, when it turns off, there still is noise from the coolant settling--I guess). I have a small refrigerator that is approximately the same size and when its compressor is running, you literally have to be standing next to it to hear it. I have had other compressor wine coolers in the past and none have been this noisy.
The other issue I have it that unit does not come with additional "feet", to help raise it slightly. My unit sits on carpet and without adding at least a 1/4"-1/3" piece rigid material underneath, the door would rub against the carpet and not swing freely.
