NewAir AW-181E Streamlined 18 Bottle Thermoelectric Wine Cooler - Stainless Steel

We recently bought a house and there was an open space under the counter that was just begging for a wine fridge! Took the measurements and this fridge was one of the few that would fit perfectly (with sufficient space at the sides to allow air circulation). Ordered the fridge and it arrived less than a week later in very sturdy packaging. Really easy to setup and was working within a few minutes. It's pretty quiet and keeps our white wine cold. The blue light also looks very stylish (can be switched off if you want). We removed the top shelf so that we can fit champagne in there but otherwise all bottles fit perfectly. Overall great little fridge.

.I have no complaints with this product. It is exactly as described and it is silent running. It also fits perfectly in my built in plus it is cosmetically appealing. The added bonus was, it arrived on my doorstep in one day.

Product is perfect for my needs. I needed something that can hold at least 20 bottles, energy efficient, compact and attractive. This cooler really delivers!

My wife and I love to have two or three bottles of Pinot Noir a week and the sixteen bottle unit is great. It is very quite and so far kept our red wines at an even 61. We will probably add another unit to keep our white wines. It seems as though people encounter the most problems with the dual zone coolers, and this is the best way to eliminate that issue.

Delivered on schedule and well packaged. Fits the 18 standard size bottles. Length of oversized bottles would be a problem more than diameter. Large diameter bottles would reduce the capacity. The units are curently running out of the cabinet they will be installed in so the fan noise is noticeable when things are quite in the area but not objectionable. So far we are very happy with the units.

Several common wines simply don't fit without shoving them in and tearing the labels. Shelves can be removed but then it is no longer a 18 bottle unit. The temp could be a bit colder to be ideal for whites. We don't mind drinking reds a bit on the cool side. But the temp, temp control, and looks are acceptable. Unfortunately many wine bottles simply don't fit in it.

This cooler really is great to look at with a classy stainless steel finish and a blue interior light. Bottles fit in well, but I don't have any special over-sized bottles. Temperature does seem pretty constant. My husband was interested in this thermoelectric unit after our previous unit was no longer able to maintain the freon charge. It is very quiet. The free shipping was a great plus. My only complaint is that I would have preferred a unit with the right height for a built-in under the counter unit. I didn't see anything like that available with this particular cooler. Now I have all this extra space at the top (under my counter) that looks weird. My husband is going to try to build a wooden wine rack stained the color of our cabinets to fill in that space. Other than looks great and works well.

I was surprised how well the unit was packed. It was very simple to get it up and running. I would only recommend an insert or description of how to put the handle on the unit. The inside holes weren't as visible for my eyes. The unit gets to appropriate tempreture quickly and holds it tempreture. I am also impressed with its look and overall quality. I recently purchased this item and have had it for a few days. So far I am very happy with it. The exterior of the cooler is quite attractive as well as the interior shelving. It did not take long for the temperature to reach where I set it. It was easy to setup and start using. Here are some of the details during my setup. The item arrived on time and came well packed. The boxes had labels on them requesting that you retain all the packing materials in case you need to return the item. Very Important! The instructions were very short on assembly and focused more about the care of the unit. They were simple enough to follow though. The only piece needing assembly was the door handle which is very easy to install. There is also a filter in the back which you may need to reseat if it comes off and a water tray which is already connected under the unit. The instructions state to clean the inside with a damp cloth. After that they say to make sure the cooler was set upright on a level surface and to let the cooler sit for two or more hours before plugging it in. After doing these steps I plugged in the unit and set the tempertaure to where I wanted. The unit hummed a bit, but the noise wasn't very intrusive. After it reached the temperture I set, it was very quiet. Everything was working and later on that evening I placed my wine bottles inside. Most of the bottles I have are standard size, but two were wider. Those two would not fit between the racks like the others, but they did fit on the bottom. It did not take long for the bottles to cool down to the temperature of 54 which I had set, and the cooler has kept the temperature steady since. So far so good.

I needed a wine cooler and after going through the website I still had a few questions before making a decision. I called customer service and was given all the advice I needed. I placed the order which I got on time as promised. I had a technical question during the instalation which again was answered promptly and efficiently. I love my new unit.

Quiet attractive cooler would rate "excellent" if interior was spacious enough to house pinot noir bottles without having to pull out racks and stagger bottles to store them. One inch more interior space in both directions would be a huge improvement. That said, still a really great price, quick delivery, and would recommend to my skinny bottle friends.

THIS IS MY SECOND NEW AIR. I HAVE THE AW-281 ALSO. I WANTED MORE STORAGE SO I BOUGHT THE AW-181. GREAT PRICE PACKAGED WELL FAST SHIPPING. GREAT COMPANY. THE UNIT IS SUPER QUIET AND SITS NEXT TO OUR BREAKFAST TABLE. WE USE THE LIGHT FOR A NIGHT LIGHT AND IT LOOKS SO COOL.

It took approximately 24 hours to get wine to correct temperature and has held steady at 55 deg. The upcoming Phoenix summer will be the ultimate test.

THIS IS MY SECOND WINE COOLER. I BOUGHT THE AW-281E A WHILE BACK AND IT IS WORKING FINE IT DOES MAKE A LITTLE NOISE BUT IT IS IN UTILITY ROOM. THE AW-181E IS SO QUIET I CAN NOT HEAR IT RUNNING. IT LOOKS SO GOOD NEXT TO OUR FRIDGE. I LEAVE THE COOL LOOKING LIGHTS ON FOR A NIGHT LIGHT. SO COOL. AIR AND WATER HAS GOOD PRICES AND FAST SHIPPING SHIPPING. I NOW HAVE 48 WINE SLOTS. 28 WAS JUST NOT ENOUGH SO I BOUGHT THE AW-181E. MY WIFE SAID IT SURE LOOKS GOOD. WE ARE HAPPY.JERRY

It should cost much more, BUT IT DOESNT. IT IS GREAT!! It is NOT built cheap AT ALL, its QUIET, and it looks ELEGANT! Solid product, performs exactly as it should, and very classy, all priced aggressively. A STEAL for consumers! The reviews are legit.

My wife and I came back from a wine tour and so needed a wine cooler quickly. Our trouble was we had restricted space in our Kitchen set up. We looked on the Air & Water web page and found the one that worked and that we liked (AW-181E). Delivery was prompt, very well packaged and the look was great (stainless). Handle installation was a breeze. The unit cooled down to 57 degrees within a few hours of loading and has added a very nice piece to our kitchen appliances.

So far so good! Definitely keeps the temperature consistent but only goes down to 54 degrees F.

We moved to Florida last year and really needed a wine cooler to keep our wine cooled! We bought this cooler about a month ago. It shipped quickly and was packaged well so no damage occured. It has kept the temperature well. It has a tasteful look with the stainless door and the blue light option is classy at night. The digital set up on the front is easy to use. All of our bottles fit in perfectly without a struggle. My in-laws were in town last week and want one now! I would recommend for sure. Great price, great cooler!

Use product as a wine storage cooler in our new kitchen. Looks great and a great product at a great price!

The wine cooler was a Christmas gift and for use in the Family area in the basement. My husband was very pleased with the size and ease of putting it together. It is nice looking, quiet and easy to see the wine's inside. I would recommend the product.

The first one would not hold a temperature. You shipped another one immediately and it works beautifully. We love the product. We have heard that wine coolers go bad within a year--so far we are pleased with the product!!

Only had the cooler up and running for a few days now but everything looks to be working fine. Its appearance is better than the pictures online, especially when the interior light is turned on. Cooled down to 55 degrees within an hour or so, hopefully we've placed it in a spot that will hold this temp. when summer comes around. Only knock we have on this cooler so far is the installation of the door handle...2 screws should be easy enough right? Well the holes for the screws seem to be drilled at a slight angle and it's tough to get them to line up with the holes in the handle. Even when we did manage to get them threaded, they barely grabbed the handle before we couldn't turn them anymore leaving about a 1/8" gap between the handle and door. I used a couple lock washers on the inside of the door to try and take up the slack and the handle is now flush to the door on the outside but it's still not as tight to the door as it should be. The screw holes are also under the rubber seal on the inside of the door making it difficult to tighten them, especially when the won't turn very much. If we don't get a good seal on the door now with the screws sticking out under the seal more than they should, I'll have to try and straighten out the holes with a drill which I'm hoping to avoid. Other than this minor annoyance, the cooler seems to be a good product at a good price, and the shipping from Air & Water was extremely fast...it showed up at our house 4 days earlier than anticipated.

This purchase was a gift for our daughter and son in law. They love the cooler. Said it looks great next to their kegerator in the family room; it's just the right size for a couple who enjoys wine or for a party.

Recently purchased this unit and are extremely happy. Very quiet providing an excellent cooler as well as aesthetically pleasing.
