We were very disappointed with the product. The first unit did not work correctly, leaked on the floor and would not cool the room. We sent it back for a xmlnsnt and it was also defective. The positive: it was quiet and easy to install.

Know that it will set a bit away from the wall since the company did not provide a condensed tube to go through the window -- and know that the window insert to exhaust the hot air is not desigined as well as possible -- we had to modify it a bit because of a windowsill on the inside. All that being said although heavy, it was well packed and arrived undamaged. It works well and is quite quiet we have it in a very big room and it helps cool it down but cannot do it all - but we knew that would be the case.

*NOTE If you turn thr unit on by the button then you sit down to adjust speed, temp etc with the remote, you will have to then push the power button on the remote or it will NOT work.

We bought this unit because we wanted a portable air conditioner and heater. The heater works great but I wasn't sure if you had to hook the vent up in order for it to work properly. I later found out you need to. A/C cools down the room quickly. This is just what we needed. The only downside for me was the fact that the instruction manual was not very helpful, not much information in it.

Water but with the product. I have disposed of the packaging so it would be a problem to return the unit. I will just move the air flow by hand until I can afford to try another brand.

We use the product in a garage that was converted into an office. It works better in the winter for the heating mechanism than it cools in the summer. Because of the humidity, we have to empty the reservoir at least once an hour during the summer, and when you are in the middle of a project or on the phone that can be a little bit of a bother when the unit shuts down to be emptied. Don't like the reservoir pan where it is. It is hard for an over 50 to constantly get on their knees to empty the cumbersome not deep enough pan.

5)The unit has a tendancy to sweat from the bottom and drips here and there onto the floor so you have to place a large shallow pan underneath the unit.

As far as heating and cooling is concerned, it does a great job but if you're thinking about purchasing this unit, think hard about how you're going to get rid of the hot air it produces through it's exhaust.

The machine did a excellent job of keeping the large living room cool even during the hotest days in the summer. The worst part of the machine is the drain for the water. We had to get up three or four times during the night to empty the pan. With that in mind, we always had to shut the machine off if we knew we would be gone for more than two hours. That meant the room would be hot when we came home. The other bad part about the machine was getting the unit up high so that the hose was somewhat even in the window. We had to make a makeshift stand and hoped for the best that it would not fall off.

I purchased an ACP-1300H NewAir Portable Air Conditioner for my folks in Wisconsin with a three year warranty. My folks love this unit and it does the job nicely to condition the air in the large living room where they keep it. You offer a wide selection with reviews and awesome prices.

I purchased the ACP-1300H because I had to cool and heat my room as it has no insulation. My first impression was that it's not too big. I like that it has a remote. It's easy to roll around and actually not that heavy to lift. It works far better than I expected. My mom wants one now.
