Amazing Sevice! Amazing Shipping! Amazing Product!
Our particular needs required a product that could perform better than expected and we are not disapointed one bit. We have a 30' diameter Yurt that rises to 14' at it's peak and we knew we would be asking alot of the NewAir AC-14000H to help cool off this space when the temperature started to climb. We have been quite pleased with the output of cold air that this unit produces and with the addition of a couple of well placed fans, how well this large open area (about 800 square feet) becomes comfortable. The adjustable cold air outlet is also a very nice feature which allows us to direct the air for a given situation. Installation was a snap.
Although the unit does make some sound, we have not found it to be obtrusive and are able to listen to music, the TV, or hold a normal conversation as we would when the unit is not operating. The positioning of the unit across the room from our seating positions probably contributes to this fact, but even when standing next to it we do not find it overly noisy.
There was one factor that was of some concern, and that was the amount of heat radiating inside the room from the discharge tube leading outside. We remedied this by wrapping the tube with a layer of Reflectix insulation which dropped the radiating temperature down to next to nothing.
We chose the Heat Pump version of this NewAir model since in the winter time we heat this area with a wood stove and thought that the delay timing feature would be ideal to have the unit turn on in it's heat mode just prior to our getting up in the morning to take the chill off of this area when the wood stove had burned out. I don't think that we will be disappointed as we have already used this function this past month (it does still get rather cool over night in the high desert in May) and the unit brought up the temperature to a comfortable level within about 20 minutes!

This is the second newair product I have ordered from this company. The service, packaging, and shipping are all top notch. The ac unit works great cools down the house perfectly no need for another portable ac this is the one you want.

Pricey, efficient,
Super fast delivery, cools a room quickly, easy to move around. Looking forward to using the heat. I bought the unit for a back up, for my main AC units. My Mom is 92, and very sensitive to cool. The unit keeps others cool, without blowing on her. Only negative aspect unit is loud in operation, small price to pay for portability.

Works Great But...
Dealing with Air & Water was great. Everything was delivered as promised and etc.
This NewAir AC1400H works well once it's running and makes a significant temperature difference in a large, upper floor, 22'x12' bedroom but there are a few problems that lowered my opinion, and review of, the product.
First of all, the exterior fit and finish of the unit is sub-par for such an expensive unit. There are blemishes molded into the plastic during manufacturing that should have been buffed out or painted over. Also, there was no removable protective film over the clear plexiglass panel which was surprising. The instruction manual was overly simplistic and didn't address many issues that were encountered in both installation and operation.
The installation itself was fairly easy although the exhaust hose leaks where it joins the body of the unit no matter what you do.
One big complaint: There are louvers on the top of the unit that are so supposed to snap open automatically when the unit is turned on. More than half of the time they do not. So, setting the timer so that the unit will switch on automatically while you are not home is not possible...and this is a feature I would definitely use.
In general, I like how this unit cools, I just wish it were a little more robust.

works great
This air conditioner really works great. We have a summer home that is a trailer and the central air just doesn't keep up with the heat. This really does the job. I would recommend this unit to anyone. I can't wait to see how the heat pump works this winter.

Has been a lifesaver in 100+ temps!
Our A/C in our RV is nowhere good enough to handle the terrific hot weather we've had this year. It's our home away from home at the lake and we just couldn't stand it this year until we installed this unit. It makes a terrific difference. Saw some reviews that said it was loud, but don't think it's bad at all. So glad we made this purchase.

Great easy addition for a room cooler. Fast setup
I am using this as a garage air and when the temp is 98 outside it keeps the 3 car garage approx 900 ft2 between 78 and 82.. I havent sealed the garage yet but I am very happy with the performance. The remote works well and the unit performs well. I havent had any issues with any water leaking, the auto evap also works like it should. Overall I am very happy with this unit and would recommend it.
