I bought the Surround Air XJ3000E for my daughter. She has 3 dogs and 4 cats and 3 small boys in her home. This air cleaner is quiet and has made such a difference in the air quality in her home. My eyes used to itch when I was over there and I could always smell the cats litter box. Not any more. This unit has improved the health of my little grandsons. I bought this unit to replace a different brand of air purifier. In comparison, this purifier is much smaller and requires less and easier maintenance. However, it is also noisier, so that might be a drawback for other potential customers. We have a very small house and several indoor pets, so I placed the unit in the living room. We've had it for about a month now, and it seems to be helping the allergy sufferers in our home. I would definitely recommend this to a friend, but would mention that it makes a little noise. It is amazingly good! It rids the room of cigarette smoke better than anything else we have tried. A must for smokers or people who live with smokers. So far, it is working wonderfully! Wouldn't have anything else. At first I thought it might be too small to filter our very big, tall ceiling great room because it was so small looking, but it works and we love the way it looks and how quiet it is...a really nice and very much needed air purifier. I would most certainly recommend this air purifier to anyone who would ask about it because of how well it works to be so small and used in such a big room. It works really well. November 6, 2007
