I was looking for a plug-in fabric shaver that wouldn't eat up all my batteries. I thought that a plug-in shaver that was a little more pricey than the battery shavers would be a good investment. I decided on ordering this shaver, and looked forward to getting it, but within 30 minutes of opening the package I regretted buying it. The only good thing is, the shaver is a plug-in, so no batteries required. The bad thing is, it tears the biggest holes in my clothing I have ever seen. At first, I thought I was pressing too hard, but even gently sweeping over any cloth still tears out entire strips of cloth. So I loosened the cap over the blades, so the blades wouldn't be as close to the clothing, but it still tore the greatest holes I've ever seen. I think it may be because the holes on the cap where the blades catch the fuzz are too large. Within 30 minutes of bringing this shaver out of the package and experimenting with it, this shaver destroyed 5 of my favorite shirts. I am going back to my old battery-operated shaver which, even though might tear a sporadic rip, does not do irreparable damage like this shaver does. I'm afraid to use this shaver on anything!!!

I am very pleased with the quality and performance of this item. I've has some small battery operated shavers in the past and they go through batteries like crazy and don't have the consistent power or the large surface area that this shaver has. The blades of the shaver do not take the lint/hairs out of the clothing. I had a small one before that worked beautiful... tired of changing batteries, I decided to purchase a electric shaver but I'm very disappointed. It's the blades or something else that does not work properly. The machine itself is beautiful, its light weighted but the main thing is the blades that don't do anything.

This fabric shaver works okay, but takes several times over the same area to get it smooth. It works better than the battery powered one I have but I thought it would be a little more powerful. I used to have an electric fabric shaver that had lots of power and did a great job of taking lint off clothes and furniture upholstery. I loaned it to someone and never got it back. I haven't been able to find as good a one yet. I thought this might be comparable, but the blades are very thin and flimsy. Also it is very hard to get the plastic cover off to empty the lint out. I struggle with it every time.

I have been searching for years (and I mean years) for another electric fabric shaver as the battery operated ones do not have enough power or last longer enough without having to stop and change the batteries. I use the shaver on everything including using it as a lint brush. It really saves me a lot of money as it makes things look new again. I'm also cleaning out my closets (looking for extra cash or tax deductions), and defuzzing them before I sell or give to charity as defuzzing them increases the value.
