We purchased this product approximately a month ago. We just bought the water bottle yesterday and got it going. The temperature of the cool water was great and everything seemed fine. Unfortunately the next day we came into work to find that 2/3 of the 5 gal jug had leaked everywhere. It appeared to have leaked from the bottom. I know we didn't buy the top of the line one but I thought we would get more use out of it than 1 day :(

I was so tired of buying bottle water every two days for my family, plus it was getting ver expensive. With the cooler I'm getting 5 gallons at a time for 1.50 to fill up. I've saved money in the short two weeks of having it. The cost was great and its does not take up alot of space.

I plugged this in today for the first time, when I had my water delivered. The instructions said it had been cleaned and that I only needed to run some water through the machine to remove any dust. I filtered through 2 coffee pots full of water and drained it as instructed.
When I set it all up and it started running, it emitted a funny smell -- like an electrical smell. After being plugged in at least 30 minutes, I tested the water. Water from the "regular" spigot tasted so foul and metallic/chemical. Water from the "cold" spigot was not as bad, but I could still taste something off. And there were white particles floating in the water.
Note: The "cold" light still has not come on, but the water was chilled from being on the delivery truck.

Still a great item, but we have to have ice on hand still because it only cools 8 ounces...then you have to wait until it's ready. We have 5 people in the house and it's a little disappointing. But it's still a great item, thanks.

Not impressed at all. takes 24 hours just to get cool, it never gets cold. I have a 8 glass desk top avanti cooler but the motor burned out. it was great, got the water cold and kept it pretty cold so I expected better from the new unit.

Glad I bought this cooler, have already used 2-5 gallon bottles in it. Grandchildren love the fact they can take a cup and get cold water without asking for help. I really like waking in the night and having cold water ready and available at the bedroom door.(I put mine in the hallway)

I am very happy with this water dispenser. The only negative was the fact that I had to rinse the machine with several cups of water with baking soda, and re-rinse the machine with plain water to clear out the baking soda. This did remove the plastic taste that was in the water at first.
Once that flavor was removed, the rest was great.

I have mixed views on this product. Over recent years I have had 3 of them. They do the job well but fail after around 18 months. Obviously there are issues of build quality. One I also had problems with the water tap and had to refit it. For the price they provide a product that works well but limited life.

I have and use these products in the kitchen and day area, both are on a table/stand and come in real handy. I love them. The one thing that's wrong with both of them was that both stop cooling water, so I just disconnected them from the outlet. There are no children in the house, or children that come around, so I know nobody plays with them. My beloved water coolers-cool no more. But I'm still using them as is!!

I wanted to have a water cooler in my kitchen with pure water purchased at a low price. I was surprised to note that when a small amount of cold water from the blue tap is used the water cooler starts up to cool the remaining water left in the reservoir. I expected that more than just a glass of water could be used before the refrigeration section began again. Packed very well and easy to set up. A great addition to any home for those who like fresh cool inexpensive water purchased at a super market kiosk on a frequent basis for drinking, making coffee, cooking, etc. Five gallons goes a long way in any home.
