The VWD5276BLK Full size water dispenser is rated by EnergyStar as an energy efficient model. When not heating water the VWD5276BLK only uses 90 watts of power, that is only a few lightbulbs! The patented Insta-HOT technology keeps water from being heated contstantly and therefore helps the VWD5276BLK stay energy efficient.The water reservoir is stainless steel and will last much longer than the average water tank. The VWD5276BLK by Vitapur uses a heating element on the back of the dispenser to prevent corrosion and any damage to the unit. The adjustable thermostat and power button are readily available on the back of the unit also for customizing the temperature of your cold water.
The VWD5276BLK is easy to clean with a removable drip tray and removable taps. The Vitapur unit is made from a durable design and is made in one piece to aid in durability.

We bought this water heater to replace our old one. The old one would often freeze and the hot water was often constantly on during the winter. This one was attractive for its temperature setting ability and on-demand hot water button. My main issue with the hot water is that it does not do enough hot water to fill up my 3-4cups of tea (ie: I have to press it twice) for really hot water vs. warm.

I bought this machine in an attempt to reduce my energy bills and to replace an aging machine that kept freezing on me all the time.
The temperature control and the "on-demand" hot water fit both bills and so far I've been pretty happy with the unit. It also weighs less than my old one.

I do enjoy it and I noticed my coffee and tea taste better using the water. The quality is very good and also I enjoy the taste. I might add I use it more rather than the mircrowave with tap water.
