PROS: I have used one of these heaters for 8 years and I ordered another one several years ago for another part of my house. They have operated flawlessly except for having to replace one thermostat. I order two more of them, one for a Christmas present to a friend and another one as a backup in case the two I have every fail. These are good heaters and they are well made. CONS:The cover is a little noisy if you don't put a spacer behind it when surface mounting the heater. This would not be a problem if recessed mounted. The knob on the thermostat is very easy to break off if you aren't careful when you pull it off to remove the cover for cleaning, once broken, it cannot be fixed as it is a small 1/8" plastic shaft inside the thermostat... and very fragile. It looks like it was designed to break off rather than damage the thermostat which could cause a safety issue. Good news is the thermostat is a standard part on many appliances.

I have installed this in my basement as an insert in the wall and I am very happy with it so far. It is quiet and heats up the lower 1/2 basement nicely.
