Description
The Soleus HGW-308R Wall Mounted Micathermic Heater is the perfect space heater. Radiant heat and convection heat are combined to form an ideal technology to heat your home. Warmth is spread throughout a room quickly and the air is not dried out. Also because there is no noisy fan, the heater is silent and does no stir up any dust.
To keep the HGW-308R micathermic heater out of your way, simply mounted it on the wall. You can also save energy and money by running it in the energy saving mode. A remote control is included so that you can control the heater from across the room. There is also a digital thermostat for precise temperature control.
For your safety, the Soleus HGW-308R has an overheat safety feature. The heater automatically shuts off if the internal components reach a certain temperature. This heater also has a safety tip over switch so that you don't have to worry about accidental tip overs.

I wanted to use this as a wall unit so it functions fine for my needs, but it would have been nice had it come complete. The product works very well and is energy smart even though part of what I payed for is still sitting in the factory somewhere. I did not receive legs for the unit!

I live on a houseboat on the mid-Atlantic coast. Heating in winter is a challenge. After numerous other options I just purchased two Micatherm heaters. For heating, they are terrific! They get the rooms warm quickly, keep them there, and I love the silence.
Too early to tell on efficiency, we'll see what the next few electric bills show.
My one reservation is the thermostats. Not thrilled with their accuracy, which has been an issue with all space heaters I've tried. In my small cabin spaces, they tend to overheat, can't seem to turn the thermostat down to a comfortable temp (even when set on 'Low'). That may not be a problem in larger spaces.

My parents old boiler heater broke and it was going to take weeks for the part to come. They only had a small space heater and it barely warmed their hands or feet. Luckily my sister had an old Soleus Micathermic heater (it is at least 6-8 yrs old and works great) that my parents could use. They were able to warm up 1/2 the house with this space heater!!! SO I searched online trying to find this exact same model and when I found that this heater is still being made/sold, I had to have one for each person in my family. I have never before used such a wonderful space heater nor found one that has lasted this long. I recommend this product to everyone I know!

I thought the design was good when i saw it on the flat screen, but it was even better than anticipated. But functionally this has been a col spell in Sausalito and my office which lacks good central heat was too cold to work and I needed m ore than a laptop. Aabut when I hooked up the heater myu small but frigid office quickly warmed up and back to work .

Anyone desiring to be warmer should own this terrific product. I do not have central H/A and live in a 1940's home that has little insulation and windows that leave much to be desired. This heater lifts the heat in the air, plus it heats comfortably 3 rooms and it is only suppose to be 150 sq ft and it is doubling that amount! I intend to purchase another one next month and I am promoting it to everyone that is looking for additional heat. The only way you know it is around is when you see it because it makes no noise. I am so pleased beyond words.

This heater is super quiet because it does not have a fan. The tempeature is constant and very pleasant. It is somewhat drying, but altogether one of the nicest things to come on the market in recent years. I enjoy not hearing the rattle of the fan from other heaters and that the heat does not drop before being reheated.

This product is great. I mounted it on the wall and it makes the room look even more high -end. I ran the heavy duty power cord behind the wall and only the plug is showing. With the remote I can even control it from upstaires is I angle it right.

Our Soleus heater is on our inclosed sun porch (5 windows and glass door) which we use as a home school room/computer room. We used electric baseboard heat up to this point but it cost a fortune and made the air too dry. Our Soleus keeps it so comfortable out here, not dry. I feel no cold drafts as I am typing. I love that it is so compact, it moves easily to the wall to be out of the way of my kids and dogs. My husband loves the remote (imagine that : ) My dogs have found the "right spot" to lay in front of it. We are really impressed and are talking of getting another one for our garage room because it works so well and for the price you can't go wrong!. We have only had it for a few weeks so we are not sure of the energy use yet, but if it is even close to how wonderful the other features are we will be exstatic.

I put the heater in the master bedroom, which is at the far end of the home from the A/C Heat Pump. So that is the coldest room in the house (in the winter). This wonderful, quiet heater keeps the room at exactly the room temperature I dial into the heater. There is no hot air blasting on you form the heater, it just gently heats the entire room to the desired temperature. The remote control is also a nice feature, as I can control it from bed, if necessary. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a space heater.

We live in a condo and have found this is a great heater for our living area. It would not be sufficient for a large home, you'd need more, and we'd need more for our bedroom areas, but it heats our living/dining and kitchen area well. When it dips into the teens we need subsequent heat, otherwise we havent turned on baseboard at all. We've got 2 cats and no worry about tipping, it's sturdy on its feet. Great buy for the money, and we're happy!

We purchased the Soleus HGW-308W after two stellar reviews for similar models from people in our condo complex. We've got electric heat and our bills have been thru the roof for years. Poor insulation, bad windows, etc. In this economy, it's tough to replace all that so we purchased the micathermic heater, and are so glad we did. It definitely won't heat a house, but it's perfect for our small condo space. We'd need another for our upstairs, and probably will buy one. It's not hot to the touch, and sturdy enough on its feet that we aren't worried when our two cats run around. Warms the room quickly too!

This heater works very well. It comes complete with wheeled leg/supports and wall hanging hardware. Connected to a GFIC outlet it heats a bathroom very nicely for warm comfort getting out of tub or shower. Also includes convenient remote control to adjust power, temperature and timer. Have not used except to test as this will be a gift but I am satisfied that performance will exceed heating requirements for a small room

In trying save on energy bills this winter, I had purchased an Endue Pure, recommended by a friend. It did a decent job in my living and dining room but then I wanted something smaller just for the master bedroom. I did a lot of research and wanted to try The Soleus HGW-308R Micathermic Heater. These heaters are so nice! Some of things that I like so much are: it doesn't dry out the air, it is silent except that when the heat turns off it does make a popping sound, it can mount on the wall so my kids can't play with it. I don't like that when I push the buttons it makes a really loud beeping sound, I would like the buttons to have a silent mode or something. I like that it comes with a remote although I haven't really used it much. I like that it blends in pretty well, it is not an eye sore in the room.
