Need advice? More information?

can I connect two heaters to one thermostat?
- Paul L. on 2014-08-27
I'm going to back off my previous answer. The manual shows how to hook 2 heaters to a single power source, if you did that and used a wall thermostat instead of the unit specific one it might be possible.
- Peter H. on 2014-08-27
Pretty sure not. The thermostat unit just fits inside one of the end caps with a simple number dial on the outside . Don't think you can hook two units together in sequence, but then again I'm not A HVAC tech, just a guy.
- Peter H. on 2014-08-27
If the amperage rating of the thermostat you will be using is sufficient to handle both heaters, then you should be able to run both heaters off of the same thermostat.
- Timothy H. on 2014-08-27
You can add multiple heaters to one thermostat as long as you don't exceed the amp rating limit for that thermostat. Check your thermostat product data for maximum allowable amps then check the overall amp load added for each heater. Alternative solution would be to break your space into separate heating zones if you have too many heaters that exceed the max amp rating for the one thermostat.
- Roger F. on 2014-08-27
I dont think so. I only did one thermostat directly on the heater.
- Carrie C. on 2014-08-27
I am not sure. I have a thermostat for every heater. I think it is best to ask an electrician.
- Judy S. on 2014-08-28
I don't believe you an connect two heaters; however, the factory would be the best source for this information.
- Judy S. on 2015-02-08
We had Intertherm baseboard heat 35 years ago. Is this comparable?
- G S. on 2015-02-05
Yes it is. I grew up in a house with hot water baseboard heat 40 years ago and I think the amount and type of heat these put out is very similar.
- Peter H. on 2015-02-06
While silent at first, after about a year of use the element has started making noise when it kicks on, metal heating up or maybe the liquid in the element. Anybody else experience this?
- Peter H. on 2015-03-24
Mine is a bit over a year old but sill fine. Works great actually.
- Mary M. on 2015-03-25
This is not normal for a baseboard heaters after one year.
