Description

Bask in the warmth of the Qmark HBB1000 Electric Hydronic Baseboard Heater. This worry free baseboard heater is perfect for households with kids and pets. A sheathed electric heating element is totally immersed in a heat-transfer liquid and sealed in a heater-length copper tube. The large diameter reservoir maximizes the volume of heat storage fluid to prolong the thermal constant of the entire heater. Gentle heat keeps radiating even after the thermostat turns off because of the hydronic elements retention qualities.

You can mount the Q-Mark HBB500 baseboard heater anywhere including any wall or any floor. It is only three inches thick and has low operating temperatures so carpet can be installed up to and around the baseboard. The insertion of foreign objects is discouraged by the heavy duty welded steel louvered grilles. These grilles also direct heat outward into the room. High-strength Lexan composes the designer style junction boxes so that scratches and wear marks are resisted. It also has a built-in cut-off that shuts the heater down if any overheating occurs.

We replaced old electric baseboard heaters, the kind with no hydronic component, in our house. We live at 6000' elevation in the California mountains. Our monthly electricity bill dropped significantly after we replace our old base board heaters. Indeed, for the month of Jan-Feb, our PG&E bill was the lowest we have ever had. And, we have been maintaining our house at a more comfortable temperature. Using less energy and being more comfortable are positive results from replacing our 25-year old baseboard heaters.

This heater does a great job for us in in our master bathroom which is over the unheated garage. We leave the unit on a medium setting all the time. We adjust the setting for temperature fluctuations, it keeps the bathroom toasty. And it is quiet. On the negative side, both plastic end caps were cracked, but were fixable with plastic cement.

Optional Accessories Available For The QMark Baseboard Heater HBB Models

25 amp at 120-277 Single Pole Thermostat HBBT1: Single pole thermostats break only one side of the power line to your heater and cannot be turned ''off.'' Therefore, power is continuous to the heater even if it is not running. The control knob will have a low temperature setting without an ''off'' position. These thermostats generally have a temperature range of 40 to 90 degrees. The thermostat attaches in the end cap of the heater.

Duplex Receptacle 15 amps at 120 VAC HBBDR: An optional accessory that attaches and makes an additional two plug outlets for any baseboard heater. This accessory will add 8 inches to the length of the baseboard heater as it attaches to the end cap of the heater.

25 amp at 120-277 VAC Double Pole Thermostat HBBT20: A "Double Pole" is an older term for a switch that allows you to turn both sides of the filament on and off - actually turning it completely off making it much safer than leaving it always energized. Double pole thermostats should be used for zonal heat systems such as electric fan heaters, baseboard heaters, and radiant heaters. This thermostat attached within the end cap.

Two Pole Tamper-Proof Thermostat: A standard two pole thermostat but with a tamper proof guard that resembles a small disc covering, which is only removable with a screwdriver. Once it is off, an inside stem is clearly visible. This is then rotated with a screwdriver or with your fingers. This thermostat attached within the end cap.

Inside Corner CBDCIC: Allows two baseboard heaters to be set up next to each other on walls that are at a right angle to each other. If you were standing in the corner, the point of the corner would point away from you.

Outside Corner CBDCOC: If you were facing the point of this corner, it would be pointing towards you..

AC Outlet 20 Amps at 208/240 VAC HBBAC: This accessory enables you to install a 240 volt 20 amp outlet to your baseboard heater.
