Description

Honeywell's H46C-1166 dehumidistat works to control either your humidifier or dehumidifier and work with your air conditioning system to create a humidity-controlled environment for you and your family.

It works simply: The H46C166 makes contact on a relative dehumidity rise to the set point to start the dehumidifier. On a decrease in relative humidity to the set point (minus the differential), the switch breaks contact to stop the dehumidifier.

With positive ON and OFF settings, you stay in control. Turn the knob clockwise to the setting stop to place the H46 in the On position. Turn the knob counterclockwise to the stop to place the H46 in the Off position.

With a fully enclosed dust free, SPST, Snap-Acting Switch, the H46C will work at a top level for humidity control.

Installed in our Florida home. It is in series with air conditioner thermostat so humidity has to reach 70% before air conditioner comes on when no one is home. We don't care how warm it is when were not there but don't want to grow mold which needs 70 to 75% humidity or more to grow. So the house is 91 degrees but the humidity is under control and our electric bill is way down. September 14, 2010
