The Germ Guardian GG1000 air purifier and sanitizer uses the same technology hospitals use to sanitize, but in a compact, pluggable unit that can be plugged into a standard household outlet. It eliminates over 98 percent of bacteria and this efficacy is tested and proven by the Harvard School of Public Health and independent third party laboratories.
The special UV-C bulb inside of the GG1000 air purifier and sanitizer does not produce ozone as it works to kill airborne mold spores and fight odors from mildew, smoke, pet areas, cooking and more. Easy operation--Easy light replacement
I've had these for a few years now. I have one in the laundry room where I keep three litter boxes for three cats. Odor is never a problem. I am diligent about emptying the litter boxes daily. However, I'm sure the air purifier helps.
The light bulb needed replacing after about three years or so. Just dust it once in awhile and let it work.

Wanted an affordable, viable air purifier. So far, so good! It's whisper quiet and non-obtrusive. The real test will be whether it can keep mold from growing in my bathroom. I like it very well. The small blue light even acts as a mild nightlight, I discovered. If it is as good as the box says it is, it's a great investment at minimal cost.
