NewAir G73 240V 5,000 Watt Electric Garage Heater

I bought this heater for a 24' x 24' garage that we have almost finished building. The size of the unit is deceiving (truth be told I was skeptical when it arrived) but once we installed our ceiling this heater was able to raise the interior temperature to sixty degrees while it was only in the high teens outside. The construction is all steel and has a very solid feel. The fan unit is quiet compared to a forced air furnace and the adjustable heat control knob works as a thermostat (shutting off the unit when it raises the temperature to the allotted setting). Overall a perfect little heater and a great value for the money. Highly recommended by this buyer.

I have an 1120 sq. ft. 3car garage. It is well insulated. I bought a NewAir G73 a few weeks ago to try it after reading the reviews. It worked so well that I bought another one knowing that together they would heat my garage sufficiently. - - they do better than that!! At 25 deg. outside temp. they heat the garage to 70 deg. on the #4 setting - - MANY THANKS!!

I just had my new air G73 installed and had no problems at all. It is much quieter than I thought it would be from the other reviews I read before I purchased this unit. Heat just pours out like crazy so I am sure this will solve my winter workshop blues. I rated the efficiency of the unit as good because spring has arrived and it won't be used hard till next winter. Thank you air and water this is exactly what I needed for my 24x14 shop.

I live in New England have a 20x20 insulated, attached garage that I wanted to heat. I did a TON of research on the best heater for my needs. I stumbled upon this one and based on the other reviews decided it was worth a try. I couldn't be happier with it's performance. It heats my garage quickly and maintains it well. It only kicks on for a few minutes every half hour or so. I would have gave it 5 stars but the manual it comes with is not very good. No schematic and the wiring directions would be hard to follow if you were not familiar with electricity. This needs to be improved upon. Overall I'm totally satisfied with my heater.

I recently installed this heater in my 16 x 22 detached garage as the primary heat source. (ceiling and walls are well insulated) I couldn't be more pleased with its performance so far. Initially, I used a thermometer to check temperatures at various settings on the heater. For me, the difference in the setting numbers is about 10 degrees. It keeps my building at a nice 50 degrees when I'm not in it; and a comfortable 60-65 when I turn it up while inside. We've had a few days with high temperatures only reaching single digits- and the temperature inside only varied about five degrees. Great heater for a small garage.

I purchased this heater for a new 24' x 24' garage constructed of 8" split faced block with an 8' ceiling. The walls are uninsulated but the ceiling is. The 16' door is a high quality 2" insulated door. When I opened the box and looked at the heater, I thought "No Way." The thing is REALLY small...but hey...it got GREAT reviews so it MUST be good...right? Anyway, I hooked it up and ran it on a 25 degree day and the thing just would NOT heat up the garage after leaving it one for HOURS. Even after I got the garage up to 55 with a torpedo heater in minutes, the G73 still couldn't hold the temperature after turning off the torpedo heater. FORTUNATELY, the good folks at Air and Water allowed me to return it. I ended up purchasing a Qmark 10,000 Watt model and it works GREAT!!

i bought this fan for my mancave,its a little loud but it works great.i set the temp i want at 70 degrees for a 12x24 foot garage space,and it stays plenty warm especially because it drops below zero here.i bought another one for the other half of my garage to keep the garage(24x24)warm,i am confident that if there wasnt a wall between the two one heater would heat the whole garage

MY insulated,attached garage is 22 wide X 32 deep with 10 foot ceilings. It is partially heated by solar panels so it is easy to raise the temp from 41 degrees to the 60's with this heating unit. One impressive thing was the electric fan motor. I expected the fan motor to be a typical cheap bathroom fan. The motor appears to be similar in construction to the cooling fan I just replaced in a 32 year old Whirlpool refridgerator. Very heavy duty!

I just added new insulation in my detached garage walls and installed one of these units. Wow. I have not even finished the insualtion in the attic or the garage doors themselves and this thing is keeping the garage nice and warm. This is a 3 car garage and the temperature was in the low 20's last night. I am very happy that I chose this unit!!!! Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

I purchased this product last october for my husbands garage,last month I purchased another heater last month for the upstairs loft my husband had done for a man cave.the heater from last year did a fantastic job on heating the downstairs garage,Im sure that the one I purchased for the upstairs will work just as fine...great product.....

1st, my experience with Air and Water has been great! Fast and secure shipping with no issues. Just had the unit installed in my garage for winters in Colorado and I can wait to be able to work in the shop with a t-shirt while watching it snow outside. It's a touch loud but I'm guessing they all are being that it has a blower. I would not only buy again from Air and Water but I would buy this unit again!

This heater is great for a former garage-turned playroom/pantry/laundryroom in Northern AZ. I did have to send the first one back for a faulty thermostat, but this one has been in operation for 2 winters, this being the third. A&W took back the first one with no hassles and no extra shipping. They sent out a new one before I even sent the faulty one back, which nobody does these days! I keep coming back and sending my friends here as well.

I have a 1600 sq foot insulated area. I bought 2 thinking it might help to keep it from freezing inside. Instead, those two heated the entire area the whole winter. I will probably get a third one since it is a bigger area. And even better...it's in the South where humidity will ruin anything quickly. The heaters have helped keep the dampness out of the building. I love this product!

We purchased the heater in 12/11 to heat our 19 x 22 ft. garage. The winter temperatures had been moderate compared to the last couple years. Our family was coming home for the holidays and we installed a dart board, small basketball goal and ping pong table in the garage and we needed heat to warm the garage. The heater took a couple hours to increase the garage temperature from the 30's and 40's to the 60's. Even though we did not have the low temperatures or snow we've had in the past couple years so that could get a stronger test we are still satisfied with the heater's ability to increase the garage's temperature. We had an electrican install.

I recently built a new 400 sq.ft. well insulated Motorcycle work shop. Using a kerosene heater. Problem was no heat in the shop untill I fired it up. Then after it started warming up I had condensation problem on all the chrome and polished aluminum. I installed my new air g73, and problem solved. It's so nice keeping the shop at 45degrees and when I'm in it working, it only takes a short time to warm up comfortable. I like the comact size,up off the floor and mounted on the wall. Was easy to install.Havn't had it long enough to evaluate energy cost, but with the price of kerosene, I'm already very happy with it.

I recently ordered this heater but was installing it up high on a 12 foot wall making getting to the thermostat hard to say the least. I called customer service and they recommended getting a White Rodgers 1A66-641 tstat. Haven't received it yet, but it is good to know that you can install a tstat on this unit within easy reach. One thing to note is that when you add this external tstat, it will void your warranty. But from what I have read about this heater, I am not that concerned. Once it is installed, I will re-post.

This heater is compact and does a good job. There isn't much to say about an electric heater since 100% of the energy turns into heat. I mounted it about 7' off the floor and the noise is acceptable. The thermostat turns the heater on and off. It hangs on the wall. Construction quality is only fair. Two of the five fan blades were bent forward and hitting the supports for the heating element. The fan would not turn until I disassembled enough of the unit that I could reach the fan blades and bend them back into position. Once I did that, the heater began working well.

After many days of seardhing for a garage heater i found my product. Itarrived on time and in excelent condition. It was easy to install and is working just fine. The noise level is low and it is just great for heating our garage. I can reccommend this productand company very highly.

I have a 400 square foot garage which I was renovating when I decided to install a unit heater. I ordered the NewAir g73 and it arrived within a week. I installed it myself and it heated my garage from 45 to 70 degrees in less than 30 minutes. I am very impressed with the way it looks and works. The only thing I didn't want is the dial thermostat so I by-passed it and connected a Honeywell high voltage thermostat on the garage wall so I can get a more accurate temperature.

Although I have had this unit only for a month it heats my well insulated 20 x 20 garage just fine. The coldest outside temp has been just 28, so not really much of a test, but this 5 kw heater replaces a 30 year old 5 kw heater, so I expect it to be completely satisfactory. This is physically a very compact unit, so I did gain some garage space, which is always nice. The heating element appears ceramic so it is nice to not have an electrically exposed element. The unit has a nice rotation ability about the vertical and horizontal axes, along with adjustable louvers, so the air can be directed as desired. The only improvements I could suggest is to have the thermostat adjustment knob on the front rather than the back. Also, the unit would more rapidly bring a room to a temperature if the fan had a delay so when the thermostat turned off the heating element, the fan would run another 30-60 seconds to cool the unit down. As it is now, the unit stays quite warm after thermostat shutdown due to latent heat in the element, so it takes longer than necessary for the G73 to bring a room to a stable temperature. You can fix this yourself by constantly fiddling with the thermostat setting but that defeats why you have a thermostat. This unit seems well made and I'd buy it again.

This is a nice heater for a 1 car garage. He lives just South of Chicago so it does get pretty cold here. This heater does a great job on our 1 car insulated garage. We do not keep it on all the time but it sure is nice to go out to work in the garage and just turn up the built-in thermostat. It heats up quick.

We have had temperatures in the teens this week and the heater has done its job. We have a 20' by 30' foot room we are heating. I have to run it on high for an hour or so, but after that I can turn it down to about 7 and the room will maintain a workable temperature.

I bought this heater to use in my 400 sq foot insulated garage. So far I'm very happy with the heater. It's been around 20 degrees average here in Ohio this winter and it keeps my garage around 65 to 70 degrees on high.

Order was fulfilled accurately and without issue. Had an electrician come for the wiring. It's a popular unit so he had installed it before, liked it, suggested proper placement and it was working in no time. 20 x 25 space with 9 foot ceilings gets warm quickly and stays comfortable. I have it close to a central work area in the garage and it's even warm enough to prime & paint stuff without uneven drying or other issues. It will be zero this weekend and I will be in the garage - I have an insulated door and I expect it will work just fine. Great unit.

I was very pleased with my G73 heater. My garage is 840 sp ft. With temp at 10 degree my garage was 70 degree very nice.

I have a small one car garage for ATV's it is about 500 square feet in the main room and 150 square feet in a second tool room. I use it to keep above freezing in the main room. The only feedback I don't have yet is ( cost to operate ). It is quiet and small, easy to install was the reason for the purchase. If the operation costs are in line with expectations I will be extremely satisfied. I would be interested in one a little larger for a 20x30x11 room .

I am completely happy with my G73 Garage Heater. Had a nice 65 degrees yesterday (12-19-2010) in the garage when it was 30 outside. Does the job, it is quiet and heats great.

Well I received the unit and had an electrician install the 240 lines and found that I was in possession of an overpriced fan (the heating elements weren't functioning). However, I did find the customer service to be more than adequate. I just had the xmlnsnt unit installed and it actually blows heat. Unfortunately, I get about the same amount of heat from a quartz floor heater that runs on 110v and cost 1/6th the price. I suppose I paid for the quality construction, because it is designed for the garage and seems to be well built, just doesn't provide the heat I was expecting for the price and installation cost.

Heater works pretty well, just a little too small for my 900 sq. ft. area, but will use it in my work area along with other source. Air and Water was great to deal with, prompt shipping.

I have had this for a few months now and so far it works great. My garage is 500 sq ft and lately the temperature is in the 20's and it keeps my garage around 75 degrees. I will get a lot of work done on my car this winter with the heater. Don't let its size fool you, this heater work very well.

I use my NewAire G73 Garage Heater in the garage (i know what a concept!). It's great and I just did it in time. The temp around here has been around zero degrees. I set the heater at a level that it keep it about 35 to 40 degrees in the garage. It's awesome getting into a warm car in the morning!! Also, it's nice in that it drys up the water so it's not all muddy in the garage.

We purchased the heater to keep garage warm for our dog. It is so powerful. Past few days below zero with wind chill factor it is keeping the garage at 60* on second setting. Purchased this a few weeks back to heat our 2 1/2 car garage. Installation was simple (just need to make sure you can wire a 220v circuit) and with the unit being mounted on the ceiling, it's out of the way. The thermostat keeps the temperature at a consistent level. It's relatively quiet and effective.

It was smaller than I thought. It works well but it is not big enough for its application.

Heats up my 700 sq ft basement with no problem. Wiring was simple and only took about 5 minutes (I already had my 10-2 wire installed ahead of time). This little heater works great. I would recommend it. Shipping was great and right on time. A+++ company.

So far the heater is working out just fine. The goal was to keep the temperature in my garage (40' X 28') from freezing. We've had temps below zero and the garage temp stays between 34 and 38 degrees. I'm happy with it.

I looked everywhere for a powerful yet cost effective heater for my converted garage to workshop and this unit fit the bill completely. Has a very sturdy case, came with mounting bracket and clear instructions. Connected to dual 30 AMP circuit and away she went to work. I like to adjustable louvers and the ability to tilt the unit on its bracket to maximize output.

I am a hobbiest of antique cars. I recently re-furbished my garage with a lift & other shop equipment. The garage is slightly over 600 square feet. The heater is rated for 500 sq. ft. It does a great job heating the garage to 60 degrees with 14ft. ceilings& not maxed out on the thermostat. Only slightly negative thing for me personally is getting at it to reach the thermostat.

The NewAir G73 heater is exceeding my expectations. We have experienced freezing weather and snow lately and I can report that this small package keeps my 500 sq ft barn/shop at a comfortable temperature when I am working. It is quiet yet moves alot of warm air around the shop. I would recommend it.

Don't let the size fool you, this unit puts out the heat. I have this installed in a 20ft x 20ft x 9ft uninsulated garage. I live in the Pacific NW and we are currently going through a cold snap in the weather. Outside temperatures are in the 20s. I can turn the heater on, wait 1/2 hour and have the garage at a comfortable-to-work-in 60-63 degrees. Let is run longer and it gets warmer. This is one of the best purchases I've made for the shop. The fan is noticeable but not bothersome. The internal thermostat is consistent in keeping the garage temp at a desired level. Mounting was a breeze. If you are not competent with wiring a 240 volt circuit, contact your local electrician. The product does not come with a plug in and must be wired into a circuit. The heater has surpassed my expectations.

This heater was installed in a single story one car garage to maintain 40 degree plus temp. About 500 sq. foot room with 150 sq. foot second room with an open 4 foot door between the two. I am pleased with the design, simplistic structure and effectiveness. It has only been in operation 1 week the jury is still out on the operational costs. My hope is the lower temp requirements and the 240 volt system will be reasonable to run.

Installed it in a 2 car garage because I did not want to worry about venting it. Heats the garage at 35f to about 65f in about 2 hours and keeps it there. Works well. I am not sure what the red light is for never seen it on and does not tell you in the instructions. The heater works very well .

This product was all it was advertised to be and then some. Easy to install and worked the first time without a problem. I would highly recommend this heater to anyone. From a personal side, I would rather have the thermostat on the side or on the front, (Engineering problem) because when I mounted it near the wall I could not see the setting with getting a small step stool and looking behind it. This is a design question not an operational one. Great Heater.

Installs easily, for a small light unit it puts out nice heat. Waiting for real cold weather use it in 38F weather did its job. Garage is single car 242 sq. ft. insulated ceiling walls are sheet rocked. You'll need to have a electrician wire it. The only thing I don't like is the thermostat control is located in the rear. Might be for safety reasons.

We got our heater in a timely fashion , and it seems to be working well.

I thought this product would blow out more hot air. I have a baseball facility in the northeast and I am not impressed with this unit.

Hi, this is one nice heater. I have it installed in my garage/wood shop. So far its been working great. It was easy to install and I did it to myself. If there's a down side, its that it has no electrical specs that come with the unit. I love the heater.

We have a 26 x 28 insulated garage. The outside temperature got into to the low 20's and our garage stayed very comfortably warm. So glad we purchased the NewAir G73 Garage Heater!

I researched the G73 and found excellent reviews on independent hobby boards. My unit is performing very well. I use it in my studio with a wall mounted thermostat. Today it was cloudy w/snow. With it 30 degrees outside and fifty in the studio I set the thermostat to 70 degrees. It took 20 minutes to heat up my 300 sq. ft. studio with 15 ft ceilings. The only downside to the little monster is that it's a little on the loud side.

This heater is keeping our attached garage so comfortable that we are able to leave the door connecting the garage to the mudroom open so our dogs and cats can come and go freely. Also, I greatly appreciate the detailed information provided by Air & Water regarding installation.

I was very impressed with the knowledge and service that I experienced at Air-N-Water. The website was helpful and the shipping was first rate - fast, carefully packed and good tracking info. The unit is well made and I am looking forward to a warmer shop this winter. My only suggestion is that the included directions gave the suggested specs of the electrical hook-up (wire ga. etc.).

I bought this heater after doing extensive research on heaters, and seeing all the good reviews it got. This heater is a great size, for smaller garages. It cranks the heat out quick! It is very sturdy and the position is really adjustable.

Heater operates as expected. Heating a 500 sq.' garage. Insulated walls, ceiling and garage door. The only problem was with power indicator light. It lasted seconds. It came on when I first applied power and haven't seen it since. That doesn't really bother me but I hope it won't be an indicator of the reliability of this product. Since there was no warranty papers supplied with this unit maybe that tells me something.

I installed the G73 in my garage to keep me comfortable during the Colorado Winters. I liked it so much that a second one is in the works for my second garage.

I have a 480 sq ft uninsulated garage/wood shop. After extensive research on the web, I selected the NewAir G73. It is surpassing my expectations. Recently, I installed a 60,000 BTU propane heater in my Dad's 750 sq ft uninsulated garage/shop so I was concerned that this 19000 BTU unit would be enough heater. Living in the Pacific NW, the avg outdoor low temps throughout much of the year is between 40-50 degrees. So far, this unit has had no trouble keeping the shop comfortable. The fan noise is not unpleasant. Installation was easy. I would recommend this unit.

We are in early spring here with some cool mornings, after receiving this heater in a very timely fashion I installed it in my new garage. I kicked it on for a couple of trial runs to verify that all was well. The heater performed very well. The compact size in relation to the output capacity exceeds most competition, as well as the quality. I researched long and hard for the right fit, and always came out on top. Air & Water delivered exactly what they advertised, at a very good price and in a very timely manner. Once again, my father always said, "You get what you pay for" you can get a lower price on some units, however you will not get this quality and performance.

The garage heater is installed. Upon testing the unit it put out great heat and ran quietly. It's summer time here so we haven't been able to use the heater in the garage at this time.

I would highly recommend the G73 Garage Heater to anyone. What an absolutely fine product it is. I had an electrician wire ours directly into our electric panel. It works wonderfully set on low with its internal built in thermostat it heats our garage beautifully, even with the minus degree temps we get here in the Rocky Mountains. We were concerned that it may be costly to operate, however the built in thermostat seems to work so well, that we merely set it at the desired simple setting and forget it. We haven't even seen any increase in our electric bill all winter. I cannot say anything at all negative regarding this heater or the folks at "Air & Water, Inc. The people at "Air & Water, Inc." were excellent in making our purchase very smooth and easy along with extremely fast shipment and a follow up courtesy call. Thanks so much.

Seems to be a heavy duty heater which is well constructed and should do the job for heating my small basement.

I bought this for my basement workshop. Without it the temperature never got over 57 degrees. But, when I turn this thing up about half way, it will quickly heat the shop up to about 64 degrees. That seems to be comfortable for me. If left on it would quickly heat up more. I'm very happy with this heater. I haven't got my utility bill yet, but I'm thinking the difference will be negligible since I only run the heater when I'm actually working in the shop and not for very long then.

Original Heater had a defective fan that made a very loud noise to the point it was useless. However the xmlnsnt process was easy and I received a new heater that works just fine.

For its size it keeps our 3 car garage warm.

I recently added this heater to my 600sf, 2-stall insulated garage. I have an open loft with approx 9 foot ceilings. Trust me I spent more time than I should have researching about 20 others and even tried (and returned) propane, electric and kerosene others. This is the one you want. I crank it on high about 20 minutes before I need to work and it brings my garage to 60 degrees f with an outside temp of 0. The unit is solid and the built in thermostat is great...once the temperature is where I want it, you slowly turn knob to left until it, "clicks" and the heater will turn on automatically when needed. Overall, it has made my garage a year round workplace and I'm really glad I bought it. It came packaged well and instructions were clear. Thanks for making a good product.

This is a wonderful product. Heats my three car garage very sufficiently and keeps the wife happy during cool fall or spring evenings.

Although it took me awhile to install the heater, and now things are starting to warm up. I still had a chance to try it out and I am satisfied so far. I own a painting business and will be heating my garage in the winter from now on instead of paying for heated storage. I believe this heater will do the job nicely. It is also very quite and does not vibrate like I originally thought it might. Overall very satisfied, but we will see next winter.

I bought the G73 Heater for my two car garage dose the job with ease. Fan moves the air nicely. The thermostat is the best thing about it, just set it and forget it.

The G73 heater is being used to heat my 3 car garage here in Colorado. It is small in size but does a great job. It is very flexible in case you do not have a dedicated 30 Amp circuit; as I did not at first. You are able to choose a variety of wattage settings to suit your electrical capabilities. I set it up with the wattage supported by my existing circuit and then changed the settings once I had the new circuit installed. I would recommend this heater.

The unit is just large enough to take the chill out of a garage. That makes it sized about right and most efficient. Since it is electric, hook-up is easier and it can even be used as a temporary unit. There are no permanent gas lines and flues to install. The unit does allow for different heat settings in case it is used in a smaller area and includes a built in thermostat to turn the heat on and off. All in all a very good solution for occasional heat needed from time to time in a garage.

I am very pleased with this heater. It puts out a lot of heat when I need it. I placed it in a garage where I store antique automobiles. It allows me to work in comfort when I wish to. A neighbor recommended it to me, giving this heater a high recommendation, and I will do the same to others.

I have tried different heaters for my garage and this product more than does the job. It's quiet and does a great job.

I have been using the G73 Garage heater for at least a week now it has performed great for our area we have had some temp's in the upper 30's since I got the heater I had it up and running in about two hours and have kept it set at 58 deg in the evening and if I plan to do work in the garage I turn it up to 65 deg and in about an hour it has reached the 65 temp It has been great to get out of the house in the winter the heater seems to level out in an hour and doesn't stay on but about 3 times per hour being an electrician I know that the cost is minimal to run the heater the area is 23 feet by 29 ft I do have the garage insulated and drywalled finished. Very glad I ordered the heater wish I had done it much sooner.

My wife makes fun of me because I research stuff till the bitter end. To spare you the drama, this heater is worth its weight in gold. My 2-stall garage is a little bigger than 500sf...it's closer to 600sf. It has R-9 insulation and is drywalled. I looked at a bunch (10+) heaters and tried 3 portables before settling on this. The heater is just right to get it up to about 63 degrees with outside temperature around 0 in about 1/2 an hour. What's nice is it is easy to install and I like the feature of the thermostat which can be set with a, "click" to maintain desirable temp once reached. I bought it direct from Air & Water Inc. and everything arrived fine. Just know that it requires a 208v hookup. If that's no big deal to you then pull the trigger and move on down the road. Life's to short to obsess about heaters.

We bought this unit to heat the room above our detached garage. The room is about 750 sq. ft. and this heater warms it like a champ. The unit itself is surprisingly small. It heats the room up very quickly which is great since we don't run it all the time. So far the power bill isn't too bad either. I highly recommend this heater for garage/shop areas.

Heater was installed on 12 block down from 10 foot high ceiling in 16 x 33 foot airplane hanger shop. Unit is about 12 feet from one end and 6 feet out from side wall, angled toward seats along wall. My intent when purchasing heater was to be able to lower temperature in shop when not in use, allowing quick, comfortable heat when needed. At first seats were too far from unit resulting in cool draft when first turned on. Now unit is quite comfortable. If possible, I would probably opt for a slightly lower fan speed to reduce sound.

This unit was bought to heat an office space at one of our sports complexes. The area to heat was of about 600 sq. feet. The building was two stories and had a central unit for the top floor, which had the controls for it us-stairs. To get the downstairs warm enough the upstairs was way to hot. This unit was just what I needed for space heating downstairs. I mounted the unit to the ceiling and installed a 240 volt ac appliance cord on the unit and ran a 30amp, 240 volt ac circuit with a 240 volt 30 amp rated receptacle for it to plug into.

My heater does everything I expected. My garage is warm everytime I work in it. The only thing is I wish it had a wall stat because it hangs so high I need a ladder to adjust the temp.

The G73 units we purchased we're very easy to install overhead in our wood shop. Running power cables were just as easy. With our two units set in a manner that the air if moved in circular pattern which moves the air very well. The units run very good and heat was very warm with the thermostat keeping the heat at a desired level. Recommend that numbers be marked on the dial so it would be easier to set the desired temperature(s). The only drawback is the electric bill increased greatly, but by resetting the temperature(s) we believe we have the electrical supply under control. At this point we are very pleased with the G73 and their performance.

Using in an insulated two car garage. It does keep the garage at desired temperature but cycles off and on almost constantly plus electric costs rose over $100 a month.

The G73 heater is an excellent product with the exception on one thing. The thermostat only goes to 50 degrees Fahrenheit = 10 degrees Celsius. This is fine if you live in a warmer climate during winter time. I had to replace the thermostat with a low temp thermostat because I only wanted my garage (during winter) to be a max of 1 Celsius.

The comfort level in my shop is perfect and it runs very quiet, the problem I had with the product was when I finally turned the unit on the fan blade was making a noise due to rubbing against the wiring. Had to dismantle the back and adjust the connection. Other than that it runs great.

I purchased three G73's for my 1100 Sq Ft wood shop. They were easy to wire and mount. Even in below freezing temps these heaters raise the temperatures to a comfortable level in minutes. These were the alternative to propane heaters, which take up floor space and require venting as well as a wood burning stove. The 'G73' are much safer, they are out of the way, no venting required, easy to maintain, no condensation like propane, and no fire hazard. And a great buy from 'AIR &WATER'!

I bought this unit to help my mechanic stay warm in out auto shop. After having our electrician wired it to work, it just does not do the job. He has a 30.00 heater he uses that works better. We have used this heater only 2 times since we got it. I would like to return it because it doesn't work well at all. Can you advise me one how or if I can still return this Item?

After days of searching the internet for the best garage heater, I decided to purchase the G73. I had it professionally installed from the ceiling in our two car garage. I have a couple of cats who stay outside for the most part (they hate the dogs!) and I have used smaller floor model heaters in past winters and always feared that they would start a fire. The G73 is set on "low" and even on the coldest day/night, the garage is nice and comfy for the cats. It is thermostatically controlled and I've never had to adjust it from the "low" setting. After years of struggling with worries about the other heaters, extension cords, etc, I finally have peace of mind and a wonderfully warm garage for Sahara and Serenity, the cats!

I had another and it lasted five years. I use it to heat a sunroom here in Michigan during the winter to keep the plants alive. The glitch was the thermostat burned out after four months. Ordered and got a new one at a cost of forty bucks, but the new one was much heavier duty and so far has worked well. I love the unit, much quieter, and uses less electricity. Generally, very pleased, like the fact I could mount it up high on a beam so usage is much more efficient.

I haven't used it a lot, but it seems to do a good job.

This is the best heater hands down! I have a 11 X 20 workshop in the garage and this heater rocks! What I like is the fact that it does not make my motorcycles sweat as the temperature rises as with propane or natural gas heaters. The output and controls are great! The thermostat is adjustable and shuts off when it reaches the desired temp. The temp can rise from 33 degrees to 70 in about 30 mins. On a rating scale of 1-5, I would give it a 10! My buddy purchased one and he endorses as well!

One 400 sq. ft. room of my house was added-on in the 50's or 60's? And has no insulation, sits above a stone foundation garage that isn't insulated, and has walls of windows! Recipe for a cold room. I basically couldn't use it in the winter months, which until recently was only 2 or 3 months of the year. Finally, I purchased the G73. It keeps the room toasty warm and is usually kept just above the low setting. Has never even been to medium. Great lil' heater.

Works great. I put in an uninsulated basement twice the size rated. At lowest setting keeps pipes from freezing and otherwise keeps it about 50 on really cold days.

I purchased the G73 about 2 yrs ago after researching several types of garage heaters. The G73 was rated for approx. 55 sq.ft. When it was delivered to my house I thought how can this heater that is as big as a 13" TV going to heat over 400Sq.Ft of my garage. To cut to the chase, I set it 2 clicks from the lowest setting and it keeps my garage a steady 65 degrees. I can now detail my cars & motorcycle through out the winter months. Also my wife loves getting into a warm car on cold days. It is very quiet and I have had no complaints. I have already recommended it to three friends. It is a very good & safe product. This heater will serve to heat my garage/workshop. I like its compact design and variable controls. I am able to direct the heat where I need it to make my shop comfortable to work in. I would highly recommend this heater to anyone as an inexpensive way to maintain a good working climate in a fairly large area.

I purchased the G73 Garage Heater as a Christmas gift for my husband. We installed in our 3-car garage. Installation was not difficult. It heats the space very quickly, and the thermostat does not need to be on high to do so. He can now work in the garage wearing a long sleeve shirt. I have now purchased 2 of these heaters. One is in the Garage running 24 x 7 and the other is in the basement to address heat and humidity issues. The heater in the basement has oddly caused me to lower the heat in the house by about 4-5 degrees. I guess this makes sense, as hot air rises but it was not figured in my planning. The unit for the garage is heating a 2 car un-insulated space with high ceilings as the roof of the garage is an extension of the house. So, from floor to ceiling is about 25 feet. Even on the coldest of days the garage is not freezing. You can still work comfortably in a sweatshirt and jeans. And if I wanted to be a little warmer I could bring the unit from the basement up into the garage and have 2 units running without much problem. Running a 220 line is not as hard as I originally thought. I had an electrician do it for both units, but if I had do it again - running a line from the main breaker panel is not hard and can be done with ease with a little reading online or some moderate coaching from Home Depot As far as a purchase goes Air and Water is the only place that I would suggest to buy this product from. I have spent the majority of my career in and around retail so I have been known to be critical when it comes to operations and customer service. Air and Water is a model for how to handle a customer. The order conformation came back quickly. There were status reports that were sent via email letting me know what was happening and when I could expect shipment to arrive. I did not have to worry about going to the web and tracking my purchase or having to spend hours of time chasing down my purchase with customer service, because Air and Water delivered as promised. I decided to write this review because of a follow up email sent 4 weeks after delivery just to find out " how things were going". If you think about it... how many companies can you name that actually follow up on a sale? I have, only purchased these 2 items from this company but if I had a purchase decision to make, I would place it with Air and Water without hesitation. I live in Michigan and the winters are cold, I am restoring my car and with the heater I can go out and work on my car and it is sixty degrees inside. My garage is detached from my house, the walls are insulated, the ceiling is covered in 4ml plastic and I insulated the garage door with Styrofoam. Once I finish putting the plastic up I am sure it will be even warmer, it was 27 degrees outside and I was working in my shirt sleeves. It is a great little heater!!!!!!!!

I bought this heater to heat my 16X24 foot pottery studio and it is doing a fantastic job. I wish I had purchased one year earlier. It keeps the studio between 58 and 63 degrees continuously and helps to dry the ware which is sometimes hard to do in cold, wet weather and this winter (2010) it has been cold and wet. I had this installed by professionals and it has worked flawlessly. I do not keep the heat setting on HI as it would be too hot and I have not noticed a large spike in my electric bill. This is a well designed and sturdy product and the Air&Water folks are great to work with!

This little heater does everything you said it would and more. I would recommend it to anyone. It keeps my garage at 50 and it is only on the first mark on the dial. My light bill only went up about $35.00 a month. I am very happy with it. If anyone has a question about it have them call me.

I purchased this heater for our garage - 500+ feet overall. It was simple to install once the 240 service was available and after turning it on, the garage temperature was up about 30 degrees after a few hours. The g73 is nice and quiet and I like the fact that it waits till the element is warm before the blower kicks on. The service from Air & Water was as advertised and I would definitely do business with them again. Very prompt no charge delivery also appreciated.

The heater is excellent. Heats 550 sq ft garage to 65 when set on medium & outside temp is in the 20s. Garage is insulated. Have not tried it on high--no need to yet. Cycles on for about 30 min each hr at this setting. Very pleased with this product. PS Installation including parts & labor was about $100

Tried several diferent heaters for my shop. None worked to my satisfaction untill I got the G73. Works great, I just turn it on a few minutes before I intend to go to work and within 10 or 15 minutes my shop is comfy.

We live in a bi-level home and purchased this product to keep our garage warm so that the bedrooms directly above the garage would be warmer. The first night we used this heater we had our doubts due to the size. The next morning, after having the thermostat set in the middle, our garage felt warmer than inside our home. It greatly surprised us. As long as you have adequate space in your breaker box for this device it is quick and easy to have installed and have up and running. Well worth the money!

I mounted the heater to my garage ceiling with the provided bracket. Did a thorough check for proper installation. After being satisfied, turned on the breaker (30amp) in breaker panel. In about 10 mins my 45 degree garage was a toasty warm 75 degrees So far the heater has maintained a temp. of about 75 degrees. My wife and I can now use our garage for working out and also when my musical friends come over and want to do the garage band thing. I recommend the G73 Garage heater for anyone who wants to utilize their garage during the cold winter months for whatever they need their garage for. It is well worth the effort and low price!
