It is NSF-approved and UL-listed for commercial use, has electronic controls, an air-cooled condenser, recessed handles and uses CFC-free R404A refrigerant. In order to insure proper installation of all connections and compliance with local plumbing code requirements, Franklin Chef does recommend professional installation. The sealed systems within the ice maker and ice bin are covered by a five year warranty through the manufacturer, as well as a one year warranty on all parts and labor.
