I had a roof evaporative cooler that was leaking and damaged my roof. I had it removed and bought this Convair cooler. It's on wheels and can be moved wherever you are. Uses little electricity, only downside is the weak plastic wheels which falls apart when being moved on carpet.

I had a portable swamp cooler from this manufacturer before and it worked extremely well and lasted for over 5 years without any problems. Just as expected, it works as well as the last one if not better. You guys did a great job packaging it for delivery. Double boxed and you didn't skimp on the box either. It is what it is. It's a big box with wheels. Definitely not the most attractive. But I didn't buy it for it's looks, the other one I had looked exactly like this one only difference was the on/off switch was on the top. The wheels make it easy to move from room to room. Easy assembly. I would absolutely recommend this product. If you're buying a portable swamp cooler, you need to put aside asthetics and get the most bang for your buck on a product that really works. I live in the high desert in California, temperatures in the summer are well above 100 degrees and this product allows my family to live comfortably inside our home. This is a BIG unit, so storing it in the winter, it does take up some closet space, but the legs can be disassembled for storage. I'm telling you, with this product, we know that it's going to work year after year. All of the parts are made of a durable polymar that doesn't warp or rust. And the cost to operate this unit.....pennies!, our electric bill is actually no higher in the winter than in the summer.
