Super fantastic product with a great price and got received extremely quick. We were forever having to buy ice because we have some many people coming for the holidays plus we always have so many events and socials. We took care of all our needs with this unit 3 different sizes of ice and the timer is great for just the right amount at the right time. Also it makes up to 35 pounds of ice per day which is going to be great this summer because I fish so much and need a lot of ice. The unit was purchased because I have put three ice makers in our Samsung fridge and none of them worked. We recieved this new ice maker exactly when they said it would be here. Nicely packaged, easy to understand instructions,is quiet, looks nice and makes ice like crazy! The only drawback is the ice sticks together once you put it in the freezer but it breaks up easily. No more buying ice!!

OK, so I have owned three (3) of the $100+ machines. Every single one quit making ice alltogether or would only make ice a few cubes at a time. I couldn't believe it when the 3rd machine started making only 4 cubes at a time instead of 8. You'd think I'd learn? So I finally stepped up and purchased the NewAir. So far, so good. But then again so where the others, for awhile. To date I love the NewAir, makes a lot of ice and makes it fast. So long as it doesn't quit after a month or two like the others then I'll be thrilled.

Overall, very pleased with product. Think the product manual could be clearer and geared more for end user use (what to expect) rather than focus on products parts.

We purchased the New Air AI-210SS Portable Ice Maker for our school nurse. It really fits our needs! Ice will cure almost any ailment in elementary school! You mothers know what I mean. Put ice on it and all better! No more tears! This machine is used five days a week and makes all the ice needed daily. Our nurse said she never wants to have to do without her ice maker ever again! did not know there was a product like this to compare with another unit in the indestery. This is the best that I have seen in the inderstery for making ice.

The techie quoted us $700 to repair the ice maker part of our fridge. He then said that the fridge part was 17 years old but still in very good shape. We have a small home/office and we live in the south. Ice is a must. The convenience store down the street charges $2.66 for a bag of ice and we were using a bag a day. We did some research and found this portable ice maker. Then we did the math. We have found it to be excellent and quick to complete the ice making cycle. And we can turn it off at will so we are not overwhelmed with ice.

This is our second ice make from Air n Water. The first one failed after 18 months, out of warranty. We felt that we definitely got our money's worth. But in selecting a replacement we did two things: a larger capacity machine in the same line, and an extended warranty. We are happy "campers" travelling the Southeast coast, Bahamas and maybe beyond, with our own ice maker at a fraction of the cost of "marine" ice makers!

I ordered this unit to replace a smaller model that we had purchased from Target. I did quite a bit of research and this one had great features, timer for turning on/off, cleaning mode, etc. The unit does make a whole lot of noise when it fills the tray to make ice, but it really cranks the ice out very well. I typically use it once weekly and bag the ice in our freezer. We load the bin in our refrigerator's freezer as we need it through the rest of the week. Good product, well packaged, quick shipping. So far no problems. Anticipate years of good service, but I did purchase the 3 year extended warranty just in case.

We love this ice maker. It is great for parties. We use alot of ice in summer and this ice maker keeps up with us. It is large, but that's what we wanted. It is very well made and the handles on the side make it easy to move.

I was operating the ice maker in a hot garage for my first try, so it took a couple of cycles for the ice to freeze really hard. But once the machine got going, it really churned out the ice! Having a removable ice bin (rather than having to scoop it out) made it VERY easy to transfer the ice to a bag in my freezer for later use. I am using this machine as an extra source of ice for parties at our lake house and I think it's going to be perfect for July 4th. I placed it on a rolling cart and can move it out of the garage an onto our deck if need be. I was surprised at how much ice results from a "fill" of the tank. I was afraid I'd be running out to the garage all day adding water, but that wasn't the case at all. I did a lot of research before buying a portable ice machine and this one had great features. It was exactly what I was looking for.

Originally purchased this item in Sept 2011, the machine stopped working by December 2011. It was replaced and the second machine has stopped working also. Don't bother!!!

Ice maker a little slow at startup, however, once started, it keeps producing quality ice cubes. Had a different brand before and the quality of the cubes were poor...they melted quick. Not crazy about the LED display...could have been better. Overall quality is better than most on the market.

I have been using the ice maker for about a month now. When the ice maker arrived, I noticed the joints where the steel meets did not fit as tightly as I would have expected. In addition the LED keypad in the front was not attached securely. It seemed that quality control was pretty lax. Recently, I noticed that water was pooling at the bottom of the unit. I removed the back to see where the water was coming from. At the top where the water fills the tray the metal tube had a leak. It looks like it was tried to be repaired as there was either glue or melted platic completely covering where it was leaking. Still I find it unacceptable that it was fixed like this and the part was not replaced. The unit does make ice as promised. It keeps my two rather large coolers filled with ice. However, I now have to keep it over a sink to catch the leaking water.

Well, I was kind of excited to try out this ice maker because we don't have one built into our fridge and thought this may help out a bit. I was a bit mistaken. I guess maybe I didn't research well enough, or maybe I was just a bit too optimistic. In my opinion, this ice maker is really only good for get togethers, which is definitely a plus because we have those as well. But if you think it would replace a built in ice maker in your fridge, then think again because you'd literally have to wait until the ice maker produced the ice and then quickly transport it to the freezer so it doesn't melt and create an ice brick. And one other tiny issue is the size of the ice. Even on the largest setting, the cubes aren't very big, and with the long hole through it, it seems that they can melt pretty quickly. Which, like I said, isn't a huge issue because all you have to do is use more ice. I also had an issue with the supplier. It's really not the ice makers fault, but I'm really not impressed with the condition in which my ice maker arrived in. The front gray control area was falling off because it looks like whatever glue they used doesn't work very well or they didn't use enough. The inside area of the ice maker seemed like it was used before. There were dirty spots and looked like little dents in it. So to sum it all up, it's an ice maker. Nothing amazing, but it does make ice so far.

The ice maker in our freezer has been quite tempermental. We have repaired it numerous times and still have trouble keeping ice in the house. The NewAir AI-210SS has become our answer to this problem. This ice maker truly meets the needs of our family. The ice made will work nicely in our freezer's ice dispenser as well as in our Margarittaville blender. The NewAir does need to be monitored throughout the ice making process as the ice produced is not kept frozen in this machine. The ice made comes out a little wet when making the smallest size cube (bullet) and slightly less wet when making the largest size. Ultimately this is not a deal breaker for us. For our family, this has definitely been a worthwhile investment.

Very prompt delivery. I've only used it once so far, but overall have been very pleased with this icemaker. It's fairly large and takes up a good bit of counter space, but works quickly and quietly. The only downsides I've discovered so far are: (1) it requires a minimum amount of water in it to work, but it's unclear what that is, since it has no min. water level marking in the water reservoir - it just stops working and tells you to add more water. Wouldn't be such a big deal, but I'm using bottled water not tap water, so I don't want to put in more than I really have to and waste any unused water (user manual says to drain any unused water after 24 hrs); (2) the draining process is a bit of a pain.

Found that I was constantly running to the local store, especially on weekends, to buy bags of ice. I have a small, independent catering business so ice is always crucial. This has been an easy answer to my "ice" needs. It's also compact enough to carry to catered functions. I love it!

I bought this ice maker as a gift for my son whose family often entertains large groups (30+people) - and they frequently have to run out for more ice. He set it up shortly after opening it on Christmas Day because there were 12 people expected for dinner around 3 PM. It was so simple to set up, and we had the first ice cubes within 12 minutes. I liked my portable ice make so much I bought one for a friend. I use mine in our home bar and always have ice available instead of going upstairs to the frig ice maker. The best feature is the side drain. Makes it so much easier to empty the water after using the cleaning cycle. One of the best small appliances I have ever bought.

This makes ice very quickly and I love the ice. You can just start it up and then leave it till you have a basket full and then dump and make more. It is easy to clean and makes 3 sizes of ice. It is so much better than the refrigerator ice makers and much better quality. Absolutely love it.

The product arrived quickly and in perfect condition. the machine makes ice perfect..the only downside to this product is when the ice is made, it has to be transferred to a cooler or freezer so it doesn't melt. the machine does not keep the ice frozen...Other than that, great product.

i like everything about the ice maker except the noise factor. you can here it running all over the house. find that disappointing.

I read a lot of reviews before ordering this NewAir AI-210SS Portable Ice Maker. I ordered it,and received it in three days. Took it out of the box, Filled it with water with two table spoons of vinegar, turned it on, and in less than ten min. It was dropping ice cubes into the basket. I dumped the ice cubes and drained the remaining vinegar water, added fresh water and started it again and its been running pretty steady ever since. It makes more ice cubes faster than the ice maker in our referigerator. We are very happy with this purchase.

I really love ice. I like very cold drinks and I munch on the ice after the drink is gone. I also expected that the initial cleaning process would be important to get an unwanted tastes out of ice. Well, it was precisely what I expected except that the speed with which it makes the ice and the quality of the ice were both better than I had anticipated. My wife was skeptical at first, but soon she was actually enjoying making the ice so much that even with two (2) large bags in the freezer, she's still making more. I received this item a week ago and its just added so much to our everyday living boy don't know how I ever did without it. Its extremely wonderful. Its easy to operator, the ice was made very very quickly. We will be using for our cookouts while tailgating which will go along way and not worrying about running out. I bought this ice maker for our church kitchen. The first day that I used the ice maker took a little longer for the ice to make because the building was hot, but once the water cooled down, the ice made a lot faster. Not only was it less expensive than my previous attempts but cleaning were no longer necessary: it had a self cleaning cycle. And it also had the'standard' features of the others but the feature I feel will lengthen it's life is the timer: you set the time ON and the time OFF. Other features, like cube size, standard on all portable ice makers are standard on the New Air also. This ice maker was purchased to replace a small model that stopped working. I chose this one based on Air & Water's recommendation. This particular model keeps the ice from melting fast because of the stainless steel construction - a wonderful bonus. It is easy to use and I love the self-cleaning feature. The only complaint that I have is that the top does not stay open so you have to hold it up while dipping the ice out of the tray, thus the lower score on the construction rating. Overall, I have found this icemaker to live up to it's claims.

Don't know how I ever got along without it. It's great for camping and parties. The ice does not have a plastic taste. I loved the different size cubes and how quickly it performs. The recycling of water is great. The only thing this product needs is something to hold the lid up when removing the ice try because it has a tendency to shut close.

I received this unit two weeks ago. Delivery was on time and the price was great. I followed the instructions and it is very easy to use. It takes about 7-10 minutes to make a gallon (about 7lbs) of Ice. I use the one gallon jugs of filtered water from the grocery store. The first few freezing cycles take a little longer than the rest. But before I expected there was a whole bunch of ice. Although it is not very small it is transportable. So I use it at work during the week, at my workshop on the weekends, and then I can bring it home if we have a dinner party. No more running to 7-11 for ice. It is great in this S. Florida heat.

Received this as a gift for a wet bar in my house. Good unit that produces good quality ice quickly. Large and fairly heavy, but great investment for entertaining area. Outside drain plug starting leaking after just a few uses....will try plumber's tape to fix, but unsure if that will cut it.

I just love it, it doesn't keep it frozen, but as it melts the water goes back into the reservoir. It makes enough Ice to keep me in Ice all day. I purchased this ice maker for our son who recently remodeled his basement and put in a small bar. He loves the ice maker. It is speedy, efficient and continues to make ice cubes as the bin empties. So far he hasn't had anything bad to say about it. It is a nice looking piece of equipment also.

There are many great features about this product that aren't mentioned in other portable ice makers: drain line, auto clean, and water recycling to name a few. Ice is made quickly and was able to keep up all evening for a party of 20 people. We've had the product for only 2 weeks and haven't fully challenged it's capacity. The only downside we've noticed is that the fan is a bit noisy, but you can still talk over the sound - just adds white noise to the room.

Our NewAir Portable Ice Maker arrived just in time for Thanksgiving. It was a life-saver! I served Thanksgiving lunch to 18 peopel and had several for dinner. Also had family visiting for 2 weeks. Needless to say that we used many pounds of ice. The ice maker is very fast, so we were never without ice. We will use it often - a good investment for our family.

I received the NewAir AI-210SS Portable Ice Maker, unpacked it, added water, plugged it in and now I have ice 24 hours per day. Cons: The manual has several errors. There is no indication for the water level, and it is hard to tell by the digital screen if the unit is on or off.

It operates very well. Had church Fish Fry and were able to make enough ice for all that attended.

I use my ice maker on a daily basis. I set my timer each night and have ice waiting on me in the morning. This function is great and one that I did not have on my previous machine. Some reviews had me worried about the ice having a funny taste in the beginning. However, I followed the directions using vinegar and lemon juice when I first began operating it and after running the self cleaning cycle the ice came out tasting great. I love the self cleaning function also. As for amount, it puts out more ice than we can use and we use a lot. I am extremely pleased with this machine so far and would recommend it to anyone who is shopping for an ice machine.

We recently purchased a NewAir Portable Ice Maker to use in our camper. It works great. It dumps ice about every 10 minutes. It works so well we've even used it at the house to make extra ice when we were planning to have company. I would recommend it to others.

The only down side to this unit is turning it off. My last unit would empty the tray and drop any formed ice when turned off. This one remains "as is" when the power is turned off.

The unit arrived dented. It is very loud to the point of needing to be located to a different room (the fan). It is also slow to produce usable ice as the first droppings just melt.

I received the product, removed from box, put water in, plugged unit and presto-been making ice since day one. Manual does not say how much water, and could not find water level mark. Called Air-n-Water and was told one gallon of water. Great unit.

Great machine really pops out the ice. Don't care much for the drain set up. Wish there was an easier connect for drainage. Where I have mine on a counter top and no sink close by. Other than that, it is great!

This ice maker solved a problem we've been having for years: what to do when we have company over and need ice. Our refrigerator takes forever to produce the smallest quantities of ice, so this ice maker has been a great solution. Unlike our refrigerator, the ice it produces comes out in "thimble" shapes and is easier to chew. Although it is portable, it is moderately heavy and not easy for my wife to move. My one critism of the unit is that the drain really isn't that effective. It's too small and there's always a bit a water left in the bottom, which makes us paranoid about leaving it for days until we use the unit again.

Very pleased with the product. Use it in my RV and have plenty of ice when needed.

Machine arrived as advertised...good shape and prompt response - that's always a good start! Haven't had the opportunity to put many hours on it yet, but ran it in a slightly warm garage to simulate a days worth of ice production in the shade while camping. It takes a couple hours to get the cubes up to full size (not unexpected) and it produced roughly 10-12 lbs in about 5-6 hours (+ about 2-3 glass fulls removed for my drinks!)You're not gonna fill a 150qt cooler with it (not this week anyway) but I do believe it will perform as expected to augment my coolers and provide ice for drinks just fine. Pay attention to it and keep the water resevoir full. So far I am satisfied. Would like to see the addition (or option) of a methind to secure the unit to my rig while camping...(hint, hint).

We use this ice maker 24-7, as our freezer icemaker has quit working. It always has ice, and in the 3 weeks since we got it, have not had any problems.

This is a great unit. All the features work as advertised. Howerver, the first unit I recieved worked for 45 mins and stopped. I emailed Air and Water and they sent me a new unit at no charge. No hassel at all. I use the unit in my motorhome. The two times I have used the xmlnsnt unit it produced all the ice I needed. For the first time ever I didn't have to buy extra ice. The only thing I would caution people on is that it is loud when operating. You need to make sure you have a spot to put it where it won't be a distraction. I am sure any small unit you buy would have the same noise level. When I read other reviews, comments were made that it doesn't have an off/on light. It doesn't have a light. But you can tell when the unit is on by looking at the display. If the ice cube size indicator is on then the unit is on. The timer feature is great. Set it before you go to bed and you will have ice when you get up. Air and Water's customer service people were great. I worked with Mike M. on getting my bad unit replaced. He couldn't have handle the warranty claim any better.

Even after performing two cleaning cycles the ice maker still puts out a noticeable smell. The ice, however, is not flavored by whatever is causing the smell. The ice forms and is deposited every 10-12 minutes, as advertised.

The machine is easy to use and maintain. The controls are logical and easy to understand. We are pleased with the volume of ice output. The only downside is the noise the machine makes but we can live with it. We like the noise the ice makes when it falls into the tray - the annoying noise is caused by the fan. We live in an area where the tap water is not useable for ice making unless it is conditioned. We buy bulk purified water to use for our ice so the quality of the ice is excellent.

We were pleased with the quickness and the quantity which this little machine produced ice. It was everything that they advertised it to be, and we had plenty of ice for our guests when they arrived.

Performance wise it's great but when I unpacked the carton, the outer case of the ice maker was bent. The outer shipping carton was not damaged but the inner carton was crushed where the straps wrapped around the box. The straps were torqued so tight it bent the casing of the ice maker. Also, during the assembly, it appears the pilot holes on the back panel did not line up with the sides but the assembler forced the panel into place which buckled the panel. Quality Control should have either sent the unit back for rework or marked it "seconds." If I wanted just an ice maker, I could have bought a cheaper unit, but I paid more for stainless steel so it would look nice. This unit was not worth the extra money.

This is a great ice machine. Just wished it had a connection for hookup to expel water. Could not really find anything that would work suitably. Mine is not located near a sink.

1st one did not work, got another one right away; using it but the face is coming off, also having a hard time getting plastic smell out of ice.

The ice maker was delivered in good condition, easy to clean and set up, and works as advertised. The only ways to improve on it would be to supply someone to fill it with water and make the price lower.

Freezer space is always tight in an RV. Hot summer weather requires a lot of ice. While this unit won't fill the ice chest, it does keep our drinks full around the trailer. It's quiet and does not generate as much heat as other units. I suggest running through several cycles of ice before the first usage. Otherwise, the ice will pick up the chemical taste of new plastic. It reduced the number of trips to buy bagged ice.

This was a gift for my girlfriend who loves ice so much that she knows all the restaurants in town that have the best ice. We have been making ice with this machine for about a week and it performs wonderfully. Exactly as advertised. She loves it.

It takes up a little more room than I anticipated, but its well worth the cost in space and money. I work construction and carry a lunch everyday. Fill it up before bedtime, set the timer, and when I get up I have plenty of ice for the day. I do the same before I go to work, the ice is waiting for me when I get home. No more fooling around with a bunch of ice trays, or running to the store for that bag of ice at the last minute. It even cleans itself, all I have to do is change the water. I love mine and have already recommended this model to my friends who also work construction on the road and to those who do a lot of camping. I never run out of ice.

I took this unit on vacation for 9 days and made ice daily while we there for several hours per day. It did exactly as advertized and dropped ice every 7 or 8 minutes as it was supposed to. Temperatures outside where the unit sat was 90 degrees plus every day although it was under a canopy. Inside where it is cool and using colder water for starting up will make it produce faster in the beginning. I'm getting ready now to start unit up for ice for my employees on the job. HAPPY!!!

The unit is solid and well made. It makes plenty of ice...and fast. Our fridge ice maker can't keep up the ice we use in the summer, and this little portable keeps cranking out the cubes. The basket is removable, so you can dump the ice into your freezer and keep the portable working day and night.

We mainly use the Ice Maker for our (5) dogs. It is very hot here in southern Califorina and we make sure our dogs have plenty of water on hand. Being able to add ice to the water is a god send for them. We also use it ourselves when making drinks and other items we want to have that frozen quality too. I love my NewAir AI-210SS Portable Ice Maker. I will have extra ice when I have company. I can use it when we go to the lake next summer.My brother is going to purchase one in a couple of weeks.

Perfect for occasional ice making. Makes ice quickly and abundantly. It fits nicely on the counter, under a glassware cabinet. The only negative is the strong odor that it gives off that cleaning does not completely remove.

We are very pleased with our ice maker. It is an important appliance for us since we buy bottled water for cooking and drinking purposes. We cannot use our tap water in our refrigerator ice maker due to the high mineral content. The New Air machine provides us with excellent ice and does it very fast. The machine is easy to clean and maintain. The price from the company was better than any we had seen in catalogs. The delivery was fast and the product arrived in excellent condition. The only thing about the machine that needs improvement is the noise level. The fan on the refrigeration unit is extremely noisy.

This unit is perfect for us, since our fridge never keeps up with our ice needs when we entertain. I have it set on the counter under our outdoor kitchen. It is protected from the elements, and it has worked great in this 90 degree heatwave this summer. It makes a tray of ice in 7 minutes on large cubes, and 6 minutes on small. The large ice cubes hold up better outside. The longer it runs, the better it works since the inside parts stay colder. We package ice in bags to stock up for big parties when we need for coolers. I love the stainless finish, it matches my grill. I did clean it with vinegar as suggested to eliminate a "plasticky" taste, and it subsided. One wish for this unit: the LED should LIGHT UP to show you when it's full or needs more water. It's easy to miss the display symbols when you are not close or not paying attention. It's so great having fresh ice for drinks by the pool!

We have had this machine for a few weeks. It did take a few rounds to get the "new plastic" taste out of the ice. But WOW do I love it. It makes ice fast and is extremely efficient. I highly recommend this machine to anyone needing supplemental ice.

Received ice maker and followed instructions to connect and start to make ice. Everything started just fine; made ice fast and the different sizes were nice. The problem we had we just could not get the timer to work; so the machine would not continue to work and the ice would start to melt. If the timer had worked the machine would have been great.

This Ice Maker is great. Right now my husband is saving $1.60 a day he was spending on ice to take to work, and we will also use it in our RV for all our trips and not have to buy ice again!

The description of this appliance was very accurate. It arrrived on time just as promised by Air & Water. It is very easy to use. I found that using cold water speeds up the process and the water from the evaporator tray recycles with the water stored during each cube making cycle. Since the ice storage compartment is not a freezing temperature, the ice will start to melt slightly until put in the freezer. I take about half a bucket of ice from the ice maker and put it flat in a tray in the freezer. A few minutes later I break up the ice and put in the storage container which keeps the ice from freezing in a mass. Clean up is easy, drain all the water, wipe the inside dry and prop the lid open slightly for a few days until the inside is completely dry. One gallon of water produces two large containers of ice, almost the size of an 8lb bag of ice. Overall this is a great product, very easy to use and I'm confident will last for many years. I would recommend this unit to a friend.

I like to chew on ice and this keeps up with the demand when the refrigerator ice maker won't. The ice is also the right size for drinks and keeps the drinks cooler longer than the ice from the refrigerator. The smaller size is just right to put into a thermos bottle. The ice maker works just as advertised.

This ice maker works well out of the box. Hopefully it will continue to work into the future; the guts are Chinese generic, and there have been a lot of complaints about units failing right at 3 months; for now it is working flawlessly. It functions as advertised - no mechanical problems, as reported by some, no fried wiring, it makes ice in a minimum of time - maybe I got lucky but I'm hanging on to this baby. A couple of minor quibbles: the touch controls are a bit too sensitive for my liking, but they function fine, and there is a lingering "plastic" smell to the interior (despite a couple of good scrubbings) - it does not seem to affect the ice, 'though. The outer stainless steel is a cut above the usual plastic although it might benefit from a little more attention to fit in places. Is it worth the price? - you betcha!

This ice maker has been nothing but ice.... it works great we live at a beach in Delaware and spent a lot of money on ice every weekend. Now we turn it on Friday afternoon and it makes ice till Sunday night no problems at all.

My parents have an old refrigerator. The ice maker quit working long ago. For Father's Day, I gave them this ice maker. They have had no trouble. It works great. They empty the bin into the old ice maker and they can still use the thru the door dispenser system. A couple of thoughts about this machine. It does generate heat when working and is a bit noisy when the ice "dumps" as do most ice makers. I would purchase this machine again. Great value for the price.

I got this product as I have a feeding tube and can not eat regular food, only special formula. I use ice during day and night as my mouth gets very dry. I was using so much Ice I had to have my wife go to the store and get several bags to have on hand so I would not run out. With this machine I have Ice handy and when I see I am running low I turn it on and make Ice when I need it. I sometimes make Ice all day and have enough for a couple of days and my wife does not have to leave me alone, especially in the winter time. The product works well but the ice is extremely wet. If you want to use it in drinks or smoothies you must place in a plastic bag and put in freezer until really frozen. Then, slam the bag against something to break up the previously wet but now frozen ice. Then the ice can be used.

We love it. We have used it almost continuously for the last three weeks. We have not had to buy ice when we have friends over now and when the basket gets full I have put several bags of ice in the freezer but have not had to use them because this wonderful machine just keeps producing great ice cubes. I am ordering another one today for our motor home.

I bought this ice maker for making extra ice for boating and to take along for camping. So far I am extremely happy with this unit. Everything works as it should. You have to remember that this will not keep the ice frozen as it is made. You have to transfer to another container or zip lock bag to keep in the freezer if you want it for later use. I have experienced a delayed output of ice while camping. I am not sure if it is due to a lack of power at the camp sites or due to the warmer temperatures the unit is in. At home though, this unit works great! I do not regret this purchase. I especially like the timer to turn the unit on about an hour before I want ice and at about that time the bin is near full.

I love my ice maker! It does everything I want it to do. I have a swimming pool and with all the kids coming over all the time wanting something cold to drink I don't have to worry about buying ice anymore! Love it! Love it! I bought the AI-210SS first but the time didn't work. I contacted customer service and swapped it for the AI-200 which works great. They even let me keep the 210 until the 200 showed up as we were camping during that time. You feed it water and it gives all the ice you want. Great for the race track where a bag of ice is $5-$8.

We are cruising the Exauma Islands in the Bahamas. Ice is like gold here and hose water 50 cents a gallon. We purchased the NewAir portable ice maker for the trip. It has been making ice for 10 days now. We put the ice in a cooler then recycle and make ice again, Other boaters are asking now we have ice. They say they will definitely purchase one for their next cruise. We are on a 48'Sportfish "RUBIA". Thanks for such a great product.

This icemaker is great. It produces ice quickly and my husband just loves it. We have had trouble with the icemakers on our fridge. Even have brought new fridges for better icemakers but always we have trouble. They never produced enough for our family. Now we have it all the time and never run out. Also we can move it outside when we have BBQs. Great device which does not cost too much.

We bought this for the summer as we enjoy our margaritas, etc. Worked great right out of the box! Although it claims to make the first batch of ice in 7-12 minutes, the first cubes are pretty small. I would say it takes a good 45 minutes before it really starts putting out a lot of ice. Clean up is pretty easy, except there is some excess water by the drain in the unit that you should make sure to dry out before putting the unit away. All in all, a good purchase.

We have been making ice at least twice a week since we got it 6 weeks ago. We are very pleased with our purchase. It isn't quiet but I can put up with some noise not to buy ice or use ice cube trays that no one fills up..

The unit arrived quickly in time for a father's day gift! It made ice cubes in record time. There were a few funny tasting ones at first, but quickly went away. It is so easy to operate and does everything the manufacturer claims. It would be nice if it did keep the ice from melting once the basket fills up; but the cubes are easily transferred to a bag for the freezer. The stainless finish is very classy also. I am disappointed with how long it takes to get a full container of ice and the container is quite small. As I wanted to use this icemaker in my rec room for parties I would suspect I'll still have to buy ice. It simply does not make enough ice fast enough. It does make the first batch in the amount of time the company says but that would only be enough for 1 or 2 drinks. The cubes thaw out very fast as well.

Our icemaker broke on our refrigerator, and we bought this instead of fixing the icemaker for the third time. It makes plenty of ice for our family and we are pleased with the purchase.

it was not working well out of the box. its more of a pain to wrap it back up and send it back then to figure out why it would shut down (if I could). The ice tray kept getting hung up on the ice tray floor. I took a chisel and removed the plastic it was getting hung up on and now it works. The unit is OK but would buy a refrigerated unit next time.

I really like the machine. The only flaw in it that I have noticed thus far is that the ice shovel get stuck when it pulls back and often has to be realigned or "unstuck" in order for the shovel to push the ice into the tray. If this continues, I will have to send it back. Other than that it works great. I liked the one at home so well, I ordered one for my office. So far, it works without complaint.

While it is a great little device, I was expecting ice to be more rapidly produced. Better for a camper rather than for additional ice for parties, which is why I purchased it.

We like the ice maker. The ice is a good size and texture. The machine is very noisy while it is making ice. We have to turn the TV up. The on/off button does not tell you if the machine is on. You have to push it a few times to figure out if it's on or off. Should also have a drain on both sides. Our drain is against the wall and therefore unusable.

I use this ice maker at home to keep our house supplied with ice. It is very hot in Texas in the summer months and I put ice in all the water and pets water bowls. We could not live here without ice because the water coming from the water pipes in the summer is very warm. My neighbors were excited about the ice maker when I showed it to them. I would recommend purchasing one to anyone. The nicest thing about it is the easiness of cleaning because we have very hard water. Cleaning it with vinegar is very easy. I keep an extra in out freezer.

If you want an ice maker but are unable to connect directly to a water supply, this is a great product. It is very easy to use. With 3 sizes of cubes and a drain at the bottom of the unit so you can make sure the water is fresh, it is excellent.

This product is great. It makes a ton of ice off of one gallon of water. It is a little noisy, but is well worth a little noise. I am really enjoying it. I have made ice and placed in gallon bags in my deep freezer and then have on hand when making homemade ice cream.

The first machine worked for 12 ice cubes and wouldn't come back on. I called and they sent me prepaid return documents and sent out another machine that is working well. Turnaround was fairly timely, about 1 week. Machine is working well and I like the delay as I can set it to come on before we get up or before we come home from work and have ice ready for storage.

The unit does produce ice as adv; however, the display could work better by staying on until the unit is finished making ice! Currently can not tell when unit is on! Also the 'shovel' mechanism doesn't work very well & ~ 1/4 of the time fails/jams & doesn't 'scope' ice cubes into the 'basket'. As previously reported, the unit manual leaves much to be desired & fails to indicate what the water capacity of the unit is. In addition the manual doesn't adequately describe the working of the display; which fails to stay on while the unit is operating. Also the manual refers to the 'fill mark' in the water reservoir that doesn't exist. Considering the unit & manual failings, now have to see whether the unit's reliability is also sub standard.

When we go camping, we used to always buy ice and it always melts in the ice chest before we use it all. Now with the ice maker all we have to do is fill our gallon size baggies full of the ice and we have ice all the time. Everyone at the camp is asking where did we get ours and wants to know how much it is and is it worth it, we tell them heck yea we save a lot of money by buying this ice maker! Love it, love it, love it!!!!

I love this ice maker. It puts out ice FAST! My husband and I work in the yard quite a bit and especially during the summer months, it has been extremely handy to have extra ice. The only thing I don't like about it is that the ice starts to melt because the basket catcher is not in a freezing compartment. I dump the ice into my freezer. But other than this, it's wonderful.

We love our NewAir AI-210SS Portable Ice Maker. First, the product was shipped and received within 3 days of ordering. We ordered it to supply ice for our new completed bar. We used it at our son's graduation party. It makes cool bullet-looking ice cubes very quickly. We were able to make enough to stock a small cooler within just a few hours. We are very pleased!

Ordered it and came in 3 days later. Once it gets started it makes the large ice cube in 10 minutes. As long you keep water in it , it keep making. Very happy with it.

Display was damaged but the box wasn't. It was pushed in and had a 2 scars on the rim of the display, everything else works fine but didn't want to go through the hassle to return it. Also I miss the red light that tells you you need to add water or you have ice. The led display is hard to read and unless you push a button to get the back light to turn on. This is our 3rd countertop ice maker, had Magic Chef before.

I have only had my portable ice maker for a little over a week, but I love it so far. It makes perfect ice cubes very quickly. I only regret that I didn't check the height dimensions more closely as it will not fit under my cabinet and is larger than I imagined it would be. (My fault, not the manufacturers.)

My wife and I are full time RV'ers so we use the machine in our RV as our only source of ice.(and we use a lot of ice) The machine performs just as it is suppose to unlike the prior machine that I struggled with for two years. So far this machine has performed flawlessly and provided all the ice we need. I don't have any complaints about it. Some people have complained it was too noisy, but the sound of ice making just sound like music to me. When I get up in the morning I dump the old ice and fill it with water and start over because it makes a new batch of ice in a very short period of time.

Living in the country and needing ice on numerous and various occasions, the ice maker is a dream come true. We are completely satisfied with it in all respects.

We use this ice maker at our cabin and it has never let us down. When we entertain family and friends they are amazed at how fast the ice is produced. You have to remember it doesn't keep the ice cubes frozen so I transfer the ice to my freezer for later use.

It could use a larger capture basket; this may impact the portability. Excellent ice-maker with three different size of ice selection. We have not tried the other sizes; the small size is fantastic for drinks, with the just right "clink" and petite size to create an ice cold drink yet plenty of room for fluid. Efficiency; wow in just less than 12 minutes there is a basket of ice. We had a stand alone ice-maker that sucked water into the unit and made ice and it would slowly melt then proceed out the exit drain. A huge waste of water and expense for the water filter. The filter had to be changed frequently because of hard water. Now we use the water, make ice and drink cheerfully.

The product we received initially did not work. So we decided to return it and try again. To our pleasure this one operated perfectly. Since then this machine has provided ALL our ice cube needs. Even though we have an ice dispencer in our fridge, we utilize the AI-210SS exclusively. We even fill it with Arrowhead water, and provide ice water for all our pets daily. We are hopeful that this ice maker will last a very long time.

We use this at office I purchased 2. So far I have no complaints it is very good and reliable. It runs very quiet and not too big as to interfere with anything. I do not know why anyone has not made one with a gravity feed water to simply place a water bottle on it so you do not have to fill it up, and I guess I should say a reliable gravity feed model. So this one is a great way to go.

Employees are intrigued by the shape of the ice cubes and the speed of production. Has its own quiet mystique - makes soft sounds while cycling through process of water fill, compressor, ice drop. Works great and looks great. I've had it two weeks now and it just keep pumping out ice as long as I feed it. This one does not hang up like my old icemaker did. I usually dump the old ice each morning and start new. It makes ice so quickly no need to have partially melted cubes.

We have been buying ice for years and since we have purchased the Portable Ice Maker, life just got a whole lot easier! We turn it on when we are going out for a couple of hours and when we get back, the basket is ready to empty into plastic bags for the freezer. The Ice is really easy to break apart for use, unlike the kind you buy at the grocery. Like I said, WE LOVE IT!!

I purchased this icemaker because I wanted to "ride out" a hurricane, and I wanted to make sure that I would have ice. The icemaker performed beautifully and got me through the storm. I now use this icemaker on a daily basis, usually 2 or 3 cycles per day. I have thrown away my ice trays forever! The ONLY thing I don't like about it is the drain system. Instead of having to remove a rubber diaphragm (which could easily be lost), a small valve could be installed which would make draining the tank easier. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this product. I would highly recommend this product for anyone.

We live off-grid in rural Nicaragua. We do have a (24V) fridge and lots of things that run off solar panels/wind energy. But, most are "practical". This was just a "fun item". It works great. A fifth of Flor de Ca?a rum is only $6 here. Add this machine and we can have a party. On the practical end, works great and makes perfect sense for that occasional "I need ice" situation.

It works great in our home bar, no more running up stairs to get ice. I can't wait to take it camping so I don't have to make a trip to town to get ice. And it will be great for pool parties, instead of running inside to get ice I can keep it on my back porch bar and not have to dry off and go inside. I would like for the display light to stay on but I can live without it. I could have bought a cheaper one; but you get what you pay for. At first I was worried that it wasn't working because I did not realize it takes a little bit to start the first cycle; but after that it just takes off and keeps going. I LOVE it!! I chose the one that made the most ice in the least amount of time. And it was worth every dollar!!

Our office refrigerator couldn't keep up with demand. With our NewAir ice maker, we're never out of ice. It sits on our break room counter, anyone can operate/refill because of its easy design, and everyone stays happy and refreshed. We love it!

We use this at home and when we travel. This unit will keep up to at least 5 or 6 people drinking ice drinks if you have some ice made up to start with. Sometimes we make a bunch of ice and freeze it, then start the ice maker when guests arrive to supplement their consumption. When traveling we make the ice as we need it, setting it up in the front of the motor home 'out-of-the-way' once we make camp. We make a small cooler full, then shut it down until we need more. The cubes have holes in them so they make drinks cold faster. The ice is a little 'soft' when it first comes out, and may tend to melt faster in your drink, but if you freeze them they get cold and hard. We still use the ice fresh out of the ice maker when guests are here as it is more convenient to grab ice directly from the hopper than to be going to the freezer all the time. You must clean the unit occasionally with vinegar or lemon juice, but it has a cleaning cycle to accomplish this. It has a small drain on the lower left side that you need to be able to empty the machine when cleaning or storing. You may need a hose to plug onto the drain spout if you unit sits on a counter-top. We have ours under the bar on top of a milk crate so we can drain it into a small pitcher when needed. This is a nice ice maker for home or travel. It weighs about 40-50 lbs. When it fills up with ice it automatically shuts off. Once you empty it, it starts running again after a few minutes. You can also set a time to start making ice, or a time to stop making ice, but not both. So if you are expecting guests at 5 and you can't make it home until 4:30 you can set it to start at say 4 before you get home.

I really love my NewAir Portable Ice Maker. It makes ice quickly, quietly, and is very easy to use. The ice cubes do freeze together when put into the freezer. However, I just put into a plastic bag in the freezer, and later slam on hard surface till ice is broke apart. Then put into freezer ice tray bin. I am very happy with it, and it works very good so far.

We have had the machine and used it only a few times, but out of the box it has worked great. I look forward to using it this summer to keep the coolers full and the drinks cold.

My refrigerator ice maker went out and it was going to cost over $500 to have it fixed ~ this ice maker was a much better option. I use it everyday and the ice is soft, uniform, and plentiful. I have recommended it to all of my friends and family.

Works even better then I expected. Ice is soft, great if you like to chew ice. A bit on the noisy side, but I would highly recommend it.

After researching on the Internet, we chose this unit on the positive reviews of the NewAir ice makers we read about. We needed a fairly quick way to make ice and lots of it and the AI-210 makes about 35 pounds a day. My Niece saw ours in operation and is going to buy one for herself. Unit is well constructed but I did purchase the extended warranty but after looking the 210 over I probably won't need it. Would I buy another? Yes. Would I buy one to give as a gift? Yes. If you have a star rating I would give this a five out of five.

We purchased this AI-210SS portable ice maker to take on our camping trips. We have a 3 horse living quarters but the fridge doesn't make ice. The Air & Water ice maker solved all our problems. The ice doesn't take long to make and it taste great. No after taste at all. I'd buy this model again and recommend it to anyone. It's easy to take with us, easy to sit up and makes tons of great ice. We love it!

This ice maker far exceeded my expectations. I purchased it for a 3 month stay in my RV. I use it to cool my beverages and drinks. It has run perfectly for the last 2 months and I can even make enough ice for a good size cooler. It takes a little longer to make the larger ice (10-12 min) but they last longer.

We built a home bar room and have this ice maker behind the bar, it is so nice to just turn the unit on and within a short time we have ice cubes. We will also bring this camping this summer and use it for blender drinks out on our deck this summer. The unit was a little on the expensive side but again it still beats having ice cube trays in the freezer or buying bags of ice.

We purchased this free standing Icemaker because we had problems keeping the one in our refrigerator working properly. After a service call and 3 different xmlnsnt parts I looked on line and decided to give this icemaker a try. We have 4 adults who live in our household. We were purchasing a large bag of ice ($4 every 4 days) at a dollar a day and the inconvenience. We thought we didn't have much to lose. We are very satisfied with this product. It meets our needs and we have not bought another bag of ice. We fill it up using a pitcher every day and a half or so. This 1 minute and this countertop ice maker has literally "melted away" our households ice problems. A minor issue is the noise the machine makes as it runs a fill cycle and dumps its load of new ice cubes.

This product has met all expectations and more. We were buying ice in bags for a long period because our refrigerator ice maker quit working. The fridge was still good and we did not want to invest in a new one. Now we bag our own ice. This portable ice maker solved all our problems. It is easy to use, makes ice quickly and our friends say the ice lasts longer than bagged purchased ice. We have already saved enough money to pay for the purchase.

Great product! As long as we keep it supplied with water, it keeps us supplied in ice cubes. We use it at home instead of an icemaker in our refrig. and we also take it with us when we go camping. It saves us having to continually buy bags of ice when on the road.

It's just what I needed for extra ice. It's very quick, And quieter then I expected. I love it. And yes I would recommend it to every one, not just my friends. A person. Male. 73 years young. Retired.

We bought this unit to take with us to eastern Washington so we wouldn't have to buy so much ice while we were camping. This product exceeded our expectations. Even in 100 degree weather, it still produced plenty of ice without any struggles. A great product at a reasonable price.

What I like best about this ice maker is that it produces ice FAST. After it kicks in, ice is available within five minutes. I don't particularly like the touchpad functions as I have difficulty determining what position they are in. Still, I would recommend this product.

I purchased an ice maker for my wife for Christmas. Up till now I was the one running out to the store to get her special ice almost every day because she was that picky. Now I don't have to do that anymore. She said it's the best ice she's had yet so no more out late at night to get her ice. Purchased for use in an RV. We have a very small freezer compartment thst just couldn't keep up with our demands. Ice is often not convenient to get when camping. This solved all of our ice problems. Works great. It does what it is supposed to do.. It makes ice and lots of it. It looks great, however, it's bigger than I thought it would be.

We use a lot of ice cubes. We also travel by motorhome and never have enough ice, so this is an ideal product for us. It makes great ice, although the low water indicator (flashing light) does not seem to work. Considering the cost to ship it back, we can live without that feature. We have realized it is best to make up a bunch of ice in advace of a party and also make ice while the party is in progress. Upon opening I noticed the inside window had fallen out during shipping. I easily snapped it back into place. That concerned me at first. I wasn't overly impressed with how it looked, originaly, but after closer inspection it seems to be designed quite well. It is a great appliance. I am especially eager to bring it on our next vacation and avoid having to haul/continually buy ice.

This is an excellent machine and is working well. We choose to make lots of ice every two or three days and freeze in bags rather than making ice every day. Our frig. /icemaker is broken so this is very handy for us. We would give it 5 stars. It is affordable and a lifesaver if you are tired of buying ice at the store. Excellent and fast shopping experience and I have already received my warranty information in the mail.

I purchased this product because It matched my needs. I liked that it was made of stainless steel, quick, and also priced correctly. When I received my product, it exceeded my expectations. It had a nice look and was easy to set up. In terms of performance, it's great! I get ice when and where I need it. I would definitely recommend this to others.
