NewAir AI-200SS Portable Ice Maker

I did quite a bit of research before purchasing this icemaker. It looks great, it made the first batch of ice within 6 minutes. I love we don't have to continuously fill it because it has a gallon water capacity. I can't wait for next Summer to use it on our front porch for all of our entertaining.

We received our Ice Maker quickly through the FedEx. Did exactly as the instructions said and away we it went to making ice. We use this for when we go camping in our 5th wheel rv and we love it. We use it to fill up our cooler before we go and then while we are on the road. Works great. I have recommanded it to our friends already, Clean up is a snap we just love this machine.

I originally purchased a New Air ice maker from somewhere else and it came damaged. I decided to try your site and could not be happier. The appearance is beautiful, ease of using is incredible, and I don not have to wait long for ice. I have been using this at my camper and fellow friends now want to buy one

We purchased this product 1 1/2 years ago and have used it for occasional parties over that time. Approximately 10-15 hours of total time used. Worked fine until it simply quit for NO REASON. No display, no sound...nothing! No Parts available, No warranty response, No repair centers...NADA! So basically I have a heavy item I need to recycle because it is worthless. After doing some looking on the web I found that I am not the only one with this problem. Apparently MANY others have these ice makers that have just quit. If you do purchase one just keep in mind it is a temporary solution to your ice needs as it won't work for long. A real disappointment and waste of money.

We need ice fast in the summer. We were buying bags every week. That was inconvenient and expensive. We now have backup bags of ice all the time. It is a little noisy so we moved it to the basement, but that isn't a problem.

This ice makers does everything it says it will do. Very easy to use and makes lots of ice in a hurry. We love it

Works good . Just like another brand I had before this one, the end breaks on the pan that holds the water. Parts to fix $25. No labor if you can fix things yourself. Broke after 14 mos.

Only used a few times but seems to work well and make first batch of ice in about 15min. Bought this unit to take camping to minimize purchasing ice for coolers and for adding ice to drinks. After using on a camping trip will let you know how it performs

I have used this machine for two weeks. It appears to be solidly made, and is quite attractive. This icemaker is a bit large, but I found a place for it in a spare room we use for exercizing, and just carry a pitcher of water into the room every morning. We then make visits to the room throughout the day to fill our glasses, or to empty the ice tray into an ice bucket. Actually this is very convenient, and keeps our kitchen counters uncluttered. It also helps to keep the noise level down, as this is not a quiet machine (when delivering the cubes to the tray, it sounds like someone is unlatching a door and coming into your home, which really startled us for a day or two). But it makes ice well, and we really like having it.

Will run off a 750 watt inverter (use on a boat) Start with cold water as this will speed up ice production to first batch in about 6 min. Use distilled water for glass like clear cubes. Not a toy, this is a 46 pound real appliance.

We bought this to have extra ice for Thanksgiving. We live on a farm and its hard to get ice from town to home without it melting. This product worked as they said it would and produced enough ice to keep up with 17 people.

My kids use ice constantly and the icemaker on the fridge can not keep up. now I get a full bin of ice in about 2 hours and dump in the other ice maker. now both ice makers are full and all you do is add some water every couple hours!

It is HOT in Texas and this ice machine is helping to cool things down. After researching for days on the internet for a quality ice machine, I found Air&Water. I was extremely impress with the speed in the delivery and in the quality of the ice produced. This machine makes ice fast; faster than the ice machine in my refrigerator. We love it!

I must start by saying that my ice maker was replaced twice within the first month. This process was so easy, based on the person that I had to deal with. 1) my complaint was listened too 2) any complaint that I had was taken care of 3) a new ice maker was sent to me 4) I returned the other maker at their expence. I have used the ice maker for 18 days while on a camping trip. It produced ice in a very satisfactory manner for 17 days. On the 18th day, the prompt "low water light" came on and never went out. I returned to the manual to see what to do and nothing worked.

Very simple to operate as you add water and decide the size of cubes wanted and turn it on. The cubes come quickly as advertised. Unused ice cubes return to water.

This is has been a life saver for our school. It works wonderful produces just enough ice for us to use in the cafeteria to keep our milk at the required temperature. Also we are able to quickly provide ice when we have a student needing ice for a bump. The ice is not cubed and a little smaller than expected but it works well for our needs.

This is our second ice maker. This one is superior to the old one in that it makes ice faster, looks beautiful, is easy to use, clean and empty. I use bottled water so the flavor of the ice is superior. We love it.

Several reviews of NewAir icemakers said that the machines had quit after just one day of operation. On the second day we had ours, the machine quit! Oh no! Turns out that somebody had unplugged the unit mid-cycle, without turning it off at the switch. When we plugged it back in, it seemed to be stuck mid-cycle. After turning it off, and then on again, it worked just fine.

We love this machine. It makes Ice in 5 minutes with my favorite bottled water. It looks great too. We keep it on top of the beverage fridge. It fits right in with the rest of the kitchen decor. Service from the online dealer was fantastic. The old one burned out on Thanksgiving after many years of daily use. I ordered the new one on the Friday after Thanksgiving and it was on my front porch Saturday afternoon. Couldn't ask for more.

This works well. It's a bit big for a cruising boat, but we found a spot for it and will surely enjoy the ice. It is fairly quick, and quiet when running.

I am disabled, and the bedrooms are upstairs, it's very difficult to walk up and down, so I have the ice maker next to my bed, also my alhambra water is in my bedroom. I was a little skeptical about buying the ice machine at first, but I thought a couple of hundred dollars wasn't the worst thing in the world. I've thrown that amount at worse things. We use this ice maker at Carnivals and Fairs all around the state of PA. It produces enough ice over the period of a day to take care of our needs in our vending trailer and in our camper.

We bought a full size refrigerator without a freezer to have more room in the refrigerator. Consequently, we did not have an ice maker. We live in a very small town with only a convenience store nearby. We were making trips to the convenience store almost daily to pay $2.50 for a bag of ice. Now, we just put more water in our ice maker. We are a large family, and use a lot of ice. It is always available when we need it. We have never run out of ice, and have saved time and money. The value of this machine has exceeded all of our expectations. I am a hero with my family for buying it.

My old stand alone GE ice maker finally packed up after years of repairs and irritation. I was also never happy with the fact that it was on all the time, using power and water. So much ice was being made and then melted! With this new portable one, I can make just enough ice for my needs. It's a great little power house and I'm very happy with it. Really the only thing that might be an improvement is the noise. It could do to be a bit quieter but it's still a wonderful machine!

We bought the unit for our rv. It takes up very little space and has no problem keeping up with our needs. No more expensive grocery store bagged ice for us.

The ice maker arrived quickly and was well packed to avoid damage. It is very easy to use and makes lots of ice quickly (as advertised). It was exactly what we wanted and we are very happy with the product.

We purchased this to replace store bought ice, and it has done that. Glad I got this model, as it has more ice making capacity, and a larger water reservoir. The only thing that did not work out was the dimensions chart was wrong, and it would not fit on the kitchen counter under the cabinets, as it was taller than advertised. Other than that it works as it should so far, and we are satisfied with it.

This ice maker is easy to use and easy to clean up. It makes ice quickly and continues until you stop adding water or fill the storage area. Great for a party, but as it does not have a cooling element in the storage area, not good for keeping ice on hand unless you transfer to a freezer.

I ordered this machine and have not looked back since. It's only been a month but in my eyes it's paid for itself. I was so tired of going to the store every few days to spend upwards of $4 a bag every 2-3 days. Now I get a little bit low in my ice bucket in my freezer I turn it on and within a few runs back and forth I'm back full and then I'm done with ice for good amount of time. Now for the cons it's a little bit of a pain to always have to empty it. But I don't mind having to clean it every time I use it because the last thing I want is nasty ice. So putting all that aside I must say its great machine.

I recently stayed at a friend's home that had a portable ice maker and decided that my family could really use one too....so I began the task of researching portable ice machines...I googled, read reviews, went to stores and gathered all the information I could...After a couple of weeks I came to the conclusion that the New Air Ice Maker was the one for me. After two weeks of testing it, I can say in all fairness and honesty that I made a SMART decision!! All aspects of the ice maker are right on the money...great value price, fast, sharp-looking, pretty quiet & easy to use. The only part that I had to work on for the first couple of days is the "plastic" taste. I did everything the trouble-shooting guide suggested to get rid of it, but it is something that only time will make go away. I did the lemon juice, the vinegar, both to no avail...but I already taste it subsiding everyday. If your family does a lot of sports or cooler events, you can't go wrong with this ice maker. (I do have a refrigerator freezer with an ice maker, but this is so cool being portable and all!)

I am able to make ice in 100 weather. I go through ice quickly, so I add water rather than change the water. The melted ice does not have a taste, but I did throw the first two batches of ice out and drained it. Had to turn it several ways to get all of the water out the drain hole. If you add water and it still says "add water", turn it off and on again. It does what I expected it to do.

Our North Carolina mountain home is located in a remote area of Western North Carolina The closest grocery store is about 40 minutes away. We live in a very quite beautiful area with only a few other homes around us. Because of our location the neighbors in the area have become close friends. We considered buying this about a year earlier and wasn't convinced that it was all it claimed to be. We had been buying bagged ice for a long time and finally after reading other reviews decided to give it a try. Love it, should have bought it when we first found the web-site. It is a good looking machine, seems to be build of quality materials and performs great. My wife and I are thrilled with our purchase and have recomended it to several friends.

This is our third ice maker in 5 years and it is by far the nicest; it is sleek, elegant (it looks better than pure stainless steel and it has a shiny black top), the console lights are informative and sparkling, the ice is tasty and attractive and it keeps coming. My wife says that the ice production and machine noises are interesting. She says the amount of ice produced allows her to store some of the ice to the freezer for bigger events (we had a party in 'hot July' and the ice was a saviour). My daughter likes the ice-size options and she has appointed herself as the chief operator of the ice maker. It's definitely a winner in our household and a curious member of the family.

My main purpose for the ice maker was to use camping but I have used it several times at home when we have guests or just need more ice than my refrigerator ice maker can provide. I bought this ice maker because we never have enough ice for our coolers in the summer, since we spend a lot of time on our boat up north, our refrigerator icemaker couldn't keep up. The only problem I have with this is that you have to keep emptying the ice, because it doesn't keep it from melting. So you can't fill it & leave it for awhile or the ice will melt. I will say that it's fast.

The claim is the ice maker makes 35lbs of ice per day. I have not stayed up the full 24 hours to see if it can but I doubt very seriously if the machine can make that much ice.

We have used the ice maker at home, in the boonies and on our boat. It is a super product and has performed as advertised.

I live in an apt this product comes in handy. It frees up the need for ice. I would like to see a unit that stores the ice and give you crushed or cubed ice without transferring ice to other places .Don't get me wrong this is a good product.

The ice machine is what I expected of it. I like that it continues to make ice without having to shut it off. As long as you empty the basket and keep the water filled it works continuously. The only complaint I have is the white piece that pushes the ice into the basket gets caught/jammed so the machine stops working. If you don't notice this then you get behind on your ice making as you have to manually fix the jam in order for the machine to start working again. Otherwise we really like it.

I am very pleased with this item. I wish I had known about it sooner! So many of my friends are asking where I got it! They can't believe how fast and easy it is to make ice cubes! Great product and I am very satisfied with it.

Works great for us on a houseboat. We keep it on the back deck on a tea cart and roll it in when we are not there. Noise level is fine. Heat level is fine when it is on the kitchen counter. Keeps ice longer than expected in the bin. Very user friendly. I make ice all day long and the grandkids have fun bagging too. Very satisfied would recommend 100%. Seems like the longer it is on the faster it makes ice.

This portable ice make provides accessible ice for all our student and professional dancers (approximately 1,000/semester) for any minor injuries. We keep a pitcher of water and a roll of plastic bags on a shelf under the until. We have classes and rehearsals 7 days/wk from 8:30am to 9pm. Wish it could make ice faster when we're low.

This is a great item if you need a supply of ice on short demand. I use it on camping trips and it saved me money because I did not have to make repeated trips to the store to purchase ice. It is great for parties and keeps your guest out of the kitchen where you may be trying to prepare foods. The only bad thing I can find about it is the fact that the container does make ice quickly but needs you to remove the ice before it continues to produce again. The ice basket is too small.

Arrived sooner than expected. While camping it kept 3 couples amply supplied with enough ice for 7 days. Worked great...Highly recommend this machine.

Really a great party product. The unit appears to have been engineered with quality in mind and the product performs as advertised. It doesn't keep up with the demand if people are making "Slush" drinks, but holds its own when just adding the normal amount of ice to regular drinks.

So far we like this ice maker. We've only had it about 1 week but it seems to do everything its meant to do. The only surprise is the size it's bigger than I thought it was. It did not fit under the bar cabinets. I like the color though. The only other problem that the instructions didn't say if you could leave it on but I called and you can.

Works well though once the ice tray is full it will stop making ice. A buzzer or audible alarm would be useful. Also, the ice is wet when it is done and will stick to the other ice when it is placed into the freezer, therefore, ice bags would be a useful tool, as well.

I am a pastor living in a parsonage without an ice maker. We had to travel and buy ice by the 15 lb bag. This makes 25 lbs in a day and we store it in the freezer. It is great!

I picked this unit up because our in freezer ice maker had broke after 1 Year 1 Month. The cost of replacing the in refrigerator unit was 300.00. This unit was 220.00. Since the day we received this unit we have been putting it through its paces and I am happy to say that it works excellent. We have even had a birthday party with 40 guests and it still kept up the entire party. I can't recommend this unit enough! The only thing my wife would like is if it were a little quieter, but I feel it's just fine.

My husband and I love the portable ice maker. We just my son's graduation party and we stored up ice to put in the coolers. We only had to buy 2 bags of ice for the coolers. We think it is a great purchase for the price.

Takes awhile to produce large cubes, I have not used it for 24hrs to see if it can produce the 35lbs of ice they claim.

Works as advertised. Very happy with it. If you have no ice maker on your fridge it is very handy. If you are an ice eater, it is good, makes soft ice, good for chomping. Also good for filling an ice chest for outings. You have to get used to some noise. Love it!

I set it on large cubes. Makes first batch in 12 mins, then every 10 mins makes another batch. If u fill water up half way ( half gallon ) makes bin full of large cubes. Only thing is in making ice certain times in cycle noisier than I anticipated. Taking it with me camping and also home use.

We have been completely delighted with the portable ice maker! We had a different model before, and the AI-200SS is far superior, both in robust quality and in speed. The machine is quick, quiet and produces ice cubes of excellent quality.

I've used the ice maker a couple of times already. It produces a reasonable quantity of ice fairly quickly. I noticed that I have to remove the ice promptly because as soon as it gets dumped into the basket, it starts to melt. I like being able to choose the size cubes I want. It is quiet. It's too large to put on the counter, so I have it on the floor, and I use a cookie sheet to drain the water into when I'm done making the ice. I bought this to have extra ice when we have parties, and I think it is going to fill that purpose quite well.

Works great, we use it in our travel trailer and at home when we are having parties. We empty the ice when it gets full and put it in the ice chest or freezer. We always have plenty of ice.

We love our ice maker. Even purchased one for each of our grown children. We take ours to our fishing camp and use it constantly. It saves us lots of money, because we don't have to buy ice. It is great for parties and family gatherings. We never run out of ice. When planning for a trip, I freeze the ice in gallon bags and store them in the freezer until we leave. I was surprised at how fast this ice maker makes ice. Everyone who sees it wants one.

The product is excellent....creates ice really fast and no need to hook to a water source. The only problem was that shipping was very slow.

I have a NewAir Portable Ice Maker, which I use in my RV for when I go Rv-ing. It is great for supplying me in ice while camping and I don't have to purchase ice for the ice chest. It works great, and makes ice fast. It keeps us supplied in ice throughout the camping trip. I purchase a 2nd one to give to my parents to use in their RV.

We are full-time RV'ers and use our Ice Maker to replace the unit in our RV's refrigerator, which we removed thus obtaining extra freezer space. The unit performs very well; above our expectations. We are thoroughly satisified with all aspects of our purchase.

We love it. We have a large house and having it near our bedroom makes it great when you want your water or drink cooled back down with some fresh ice. I use an insulated cup for my water but it does not keep it cool enough. So, I am able to get me a few scoops of ice to get it cool again. I also will grab several cubes of the ice just to eat them like that. They are the right size to chew on. I was also suprised how fast it makes ice. We can use all of the ice and in about thirty minutes it is full again.

Works quickly and is not noisy, as some have said. Does take up room on my counter but it's worth it! Never had so much ice so quickly! Love it!

The ice maker has worked very well for us, we use it for our kids mostly because of lots of sports, coolers, and makes enough for that. My only grief is the small holding tank, as I am very busy and if the small holding tank gets full it does not keep producing. Thanks.

I wanted a very specific kind of ice and this machine does not produce the ice I wanted.

We bought this ice maker to use on our boat. Once the water gets cool, it makes ice fairly quick. It doesn't take up a lot of space and with offset handles it can be moved quite easily. It's simple to set up and looks nice too.

Great convenience for a Bed and Breakfast! Larger items would be too intrusive. A bit noisy when cranking out the ice, but I've been shutting it off (easy button) when folks are gathered near by. Very simple and easy to use.

Great ice maker makes ice every 7 minutes one of the best things I ever bought.

Ice maker works great. Makes batch of ice in about ten minutes and tastes good. It made ice faster than we could use it, so stored some in the deep freezer. The only thing I found disappointing was the drain is so small that it takes a long time to drain excess water.

Works well; not noisy or bad tasting (to me) as some had suggested. One thing I don't like, however, is that the ice is totally wet and sticks together when you put it in the freezer. Love it, though!

Great machine - this machine is great for small get-togethers, camping, etc. For bigger get-togethers you could pre-make the ice very easy. The only BAD thing I have to say is that the machine is noisy when it makes ice!! And ice cycles so it is always making and Melting!! Remember it's an ice maker not a freezer!!

A nice compact, portable ice maker that makes a decent amount of ice quickly. The overall appearance looks classy and not cheaply made. I chose this product to be used on our boat.

I'm very glad I bought my AI-200SS Portable Ice Maker. It makes ice quickly and is easy to operate. My only reason for not giving it an A+ rating is it is noisy to operate. I use this product 2-3 times a week to make ice for my daily use. I'm single so I don't use it as much as a family would, but it definitely would supply a family with plenty of ice.

The ice maker was real easy to set up and start making ice as soon as it was unpacked and cleaned.

I use the AI-200SS to make ice for my small boat cooler, and ice for cocktails. I have a Yetti cooler which will keep good ice for days, and most ice from convenience stores is already half melted and expensive. It makes great ice very quickly. My one complaint is that even with the cleaning before use as per the instructions, the ice has a very strange taste as it melts into drinks, while ice made from the same water in my fridge does not. I am hoping it will eventually go away.

We make ice and bag it put in freezer for while so it don't freeze together then dump it in our refrigerator ice dispenser and now you have party ice in you freezer.

Product is very efficient, starts making ice cubes in 10 to 12 min. Works great! Good value for the price. Would recommend this to anyone needing ice quick.

Use it for parties, do not need ice trays anymore and we take it along on camping trips to save space in the refrigerator in the travel trailer. It works very well and we just love it. I usually make five gallons of ice at a time and store it in the freezer at home.

I installed this in a bar I built at my house this past year. This thing is Fantastic. It can flat out make the ice quick and keep up with some of my drinking buds requiring a lot of ice. It is portable and very attractive either as a counter top unit or installed. If installed, allow plenty of ventilation per the manual.

I have been cruising on my 34' powercat for 6 months and this little machine has performed flawlessly. I was going to get a permanent unit installed when the mechanic suggested I look at portable units. After researching, the NewAir seemed to be the best value and I have not been disappointed. Plug it into my inverter and 10 min later I have large cubes!

The icemaker works very well and functions beyond the expectations I had before I made the purchase. It is very capable of producing enough ice daily to keep me and my wife's demand for ice cubes fulfilled.

I bought this for my husband for his birthday and it sure has had a good workout. It makes ice cubes very quickly and in 3 sizes depending on the application. We love it and friends have remarked how great it looks. Would recommend it highly to anyone considering purchasing an ice maker. Ice cubes last WAY longer than the bagged ice from the convenience stores.

We use our ice-maker regularly to bag and store for happy hours! We also use it to produce all we need for a party by plugging it in and letting it do what it does best! I like the flexibility of 3 ice cube sizes and the fact that it requires little attention while making ice. It would be very useful "on the road." It was a great buy for us.

This machine works great. Our Ice Maker in our Fridge broke and even when it worked it wasn't great. We decided to just buy the New Air AI-200SS Portable Ice Maker instead of getting ours fixed. We now have ice all of the time and it is portable so we can take it in our Motor Home with us. We have had no problems with it and we have ice in about 6 minutes. If you have a lot of family or parties, I would highly recommend this product.

Purchased 3 of these for Christmas gifts. EVERYONE LOVES THEIR OWN ICE MAKER!!! The look, the portability, etc are just great! It was a GREAT Christmas present!! Only one thing would have been appreciated...that being a little heads up on how the extended warranty would be handled. Nothing was included in the original packaging, but 2-3 months later, a form was sent to fill out. This process could be better. Still.....a GREAT experience! THANKS!

You literally turn it on and have a full bin of ice in like 10 minutes. I shopped the product number before buying and Air and Water had the best price by like 20%. We bought a new refrigerator with an ice maker in the door and quickly realized the ice maker was too small. We bought the portable ice maker and it has been great!

We use our portable ice maker in our cabin. We do not have to worry about having enough ice. We do take time when we leave to drain the ice maker. A very good product.

This machine makes lots of ice. We use it every day! I would guess that several in a family would have more ice than needed on a day to day basis. The AI-200SS is a little loud in operation. To close I would suggest this to a friend as an option for him.

I bought the ice machine for my husband for Christmas. The ice maker is fantastic! We love it, we had a party of 30 people and we constantly serving drinks and the ice maker kept up with the constant demand. The unit is beautiful and is a wonderful accent piece for our bar. We would definitely recommend to all of our friends and family. Nothing could improve the shopping experience, it was fantastic and was packed nicely and shipped within the timeframe stated.

On a 1 - 5, it's a 4.5. A good product, I only wish you could get the same thing that would freeze and STORE the ice. But I received it in 5 days. Very good service.

Getting a portable ice maker was easier and cheaper than putting an ice maker in my freezer. When I first opened the package, I thought the product was blue, and I was somewhat dissappointed. I though I was getting a chrome ice maker to match the rest of my appliances in my kitchen. But fortunately it was completely sealed in blue tape that was easily removed! It does everything it's supposed to do now!
