This Portable Ice Maker is FANTASTIC! We travel a lot in our motor home and many times we are not in a location that we can just go out and buy some ice, so this unit was the answer to our problem! We can plug it into 110v (or our inverter), add water and in 9 minutes (yes, I timed it!) we had 10 ice cubes, in another 9 minutes, 10 more ice cubes, and on and on! It was amazing! The unit is a 'no brainer', there are lights on the front that tells you when to add water, when the ice tray is full, what size ice cubes you want (you have a choice of small, medium or large. I chose medium, perfect size for me). If you do nothing to the ice, it slowly melts and then recycles the water to make fresh ice cubes, or you can scoop it out and put it in your freezer to 'stock up' and use later. The ice maker is small enough to fit comfortably in our storage compartment. It's lightweight enough for me to handle with ease. Our friend recommended this unit to us and we would highly recommend this unit to others..! As far as the noise that some folks have mentioned, well it's a compressor unit freezing water, there is a little noise to it, but no more than what your home refrigerator would sound like, actually less, and then we hear the sound of those cute little ice cubes dropping in the bin, that's just exciting not annoying..! Love it! Love it!

Easy to use, compact, and quite quiet
Love every feature, easy to use, compact and pretty much noise free. Fill it up and forget about it, good cube size, love the red cold...matches my kitchen!

This is an awesome product!
I have been on the hunt for a portable ice maker for quite awhile. As I was hunting for the right ice maker I ran across the NewAir AI-100R Portable Icemaker. I was needing a unit that would help our refrigerator's ice maker keep up with our demand of ice. This machine not only produces 3 different sizes of ice cubes but it also makes the ice in a matter of minutes. Not only that, it can go anywhere, especially when we go camping. And believe me it gets really hot down here in West Texas. But what I like best of all is it's the most beautiful color of red.

Very Convenient and easy to use
This ice maker arrived on time and was package well. I love that it is light enough to move anytime and small enough to move anywhere. It fits perfectly underneath my kitchen cabinet. I am amazed at how quickly it makes ice. A dozen ice cubes are made every 6-9 minutes depending on the size selected. The ice has no plastic taste. I love the way the ice taste. I would recommend this ice maker to anyone tired of buying bags of ice or having to mess with ice trays. Before buying this product, I researched SEVERAL products. I feel this one is the best bang for the buck!

For the price and size, it is a good chioce
If your ice making needs are are not too demanding, and you have time to empty hooper to freezer every hour it is definaetly a good buy. I dont know what the cost of electricity to run the unit is yet, but we were spending about $2.00 a day for bagged ice.

The ice maker works well.
Their were complaints a bought the ice being being wet
but that is normal due to two operations No.1 is that the freezing rods have to heat up to release the ice and 2nd.
the ice is stored in a basic ice chest. What i have found that works well is to put collected ice in a bread bag and put it in a freezer for a bough ten minutes remove from freezer and break up ice gently then return it to the freezer and wallah

Big disappointment
I'm very disappointed in my ice maker. It has not made one single pick of ice. The water goes in but NO ice comes out.

So easy to use
I love love love this ice maker. Got it today at 4 pm and havent stopped making ice yet. Its so easy to use so quiet, the ice looked and tasted great.
