Such a little machine that can produce so much ice! Love it!!
My sister is an ice cube fanatic. She is constantly buying bags of ice cubes. So, what makes a perfect gift for someone who loves ice? A ice maker of course! I purchased the Newair portable icemaker and when it arrived I wrapped it up to give to my sister as a gift. To say the least when she opened it she was totally thrilled and could'nt wait to plug it in. It initially took a little bit to get going but once it did the ice cubes were popping out left and right. They came out in these cute little sizes. She loved it!! I would totally recommend this icemaker to anyone looking to have fresh ice cubes made on the spot. Yay!!!! No more huge bags of ice in the freezer. Yay!!!

I have absolutly loved my new icemaker. It makes ice so fast and is very good ice. I prefer the median size ice but may use the other sizes for certain jobs. The icemaker is very nice looking and fits on my counter perfectly and doesn't take up so much space which I like because I have pretty small countertops. I make ice every day and transfer the ice to a container in my freezer. Thjis uint covers everything I was looking for as I use a lot of ice and buying it in the store was getting expensive so I started looking for a portabe icemaker. I wasn't sure there was one to buy , then I found this and will be using this icemaker for years to come.

We purchased the NewAir portable icemaker as an alternative to buying ice while camping.(We do not have an ice maker in our travel trailer). Even though we do not usually use that much ice on short weekend getaways, the longer week or more trips were becomming a hastle. Not only is the price of bagged ice going up, but the pain of having to go to a store to get it.
Our machine arrived on Friday. We set it up in the kitchen at home to see how it would perform. I set it to make large cubes, filled with water and turned it on. After about 10 minutes it had made the first ice. After the first cycle or two we thought, "this isn't going to work". The cubes were thin and didn't seem to be very well formed. However, knowing a little about refrigeration, I knew it would take a little time for the unit to cool down and work properly.
Going on about our business we came back to check on it about 30-45 minutes later. Behold, we had ice. All weekend we used only ice from our new toy. Working outside in high 90 degree weather and high humidity all weekend we used a lot of ice for water and we never ran out. The longer machine ran, the better it worked.
A week later we took it on the first camping trip. The small compact design allows us to set it on the kitchen counter in our travel trailer and not interfere with other duties. Again, it took a little while to cool down and work properly after a 3 1/2 hour drive to the campsite, but that is to be expected with hot days and no a/c on in the camper. Once we had ice we kept ice all weekend. Emptied the bin into a bag and put it the freezer a couple times just in case. We never needed it. We even had enough ice to ice down a small cooler of fish.
We will be taking the NewAir portable icemaker on a two week trip for the July 4th holiday and we anticipate not having to buy ice as we have in the past for the extra coolers of food we carry for a family get together. It will be so great not to have to remember to go to a store and buy ice in the middle of relaxing, only to have it half melted by the time we get back to the campsite.

Love this icemaker. It is great!!!
Would recommend this produce to anyone. Easy to use. Makes great ice. Looking forward to using this during the hot summer months.

Died after 2 years of seasonal use
Quit after working great for 2 years - - control panel needs replacement. Had this in the cabin of my 35' boat and suspect the salt air & humidity did it in. Repairs may cost as much as a new unit.

It is a good machine. It's fast and pretty quite. The only negitive is that the ice is not clear but that doesn't affect the taste.

Very portable & easy to use. Makes ice quickly.
We have looked for a long time for a portable ice maker. The customer service was great & we received the product quickly. The only slight complaint that I have is that the ice is very wet. I put them in to a container & keep it in the freezer. I have to use something to break the ice apart because it all freezes together.
I would definitely recommend this sight for purchases similar to our ice maker.
