This works so well!
I live in rainy Southeast Alaska (over 80" rainfall annually), and needed to get a dehumidifier that is simple and effective to use. I did try to get another brand, but found they didn't ship to Alaska. Anyway, I received word from the same company that supplied and deals with dehumidifiers to take a look at what NewAir had to offer in a similiar capacity model I was wanting. The price was right, and it had all the options I was wanting, and they shipped it to Alaska too! The unit works perfect! The instructions are simple to follow. The water tray is easy to remove, and we did accidently forget to remove the water tray once, but the auto shut off worked like it was designed to do. We keep the unit in our bedroom and it is quiet! My significant other is so happy with this unit, and if she's happy so am I. If it works in rainy SE Alaska, it will work for you too! - OH! Our heating usage went down too! Another benefit I almost forgot to mention too. It will mean less $$ to heat our home.

This dehumidifier is really great! At first we thought it was too small for our basement, but we hooked up the continuous drainage port so we wouldnt have to worry about emptying the bucket and its running like a champ! Heavy duty, light weight & quiet. Our basement feels & smells better! We are very happy with the unit & really excited about the great deal we got on it. We ended up paying almost $20 less than what the others wanted plus free shipping, plus received coupons for our next purchase. Can't beat that!

We live in Mobile - coastal city and extremely hot & humid! We were always dealing with sinus problems and our Doctor recommended a dehumidifier might help us rest better at night. I researched so many sites and decided on this one, the positive reviews were a big help. We have been using it now for about a month and absolutely love it. The first day we turned it on and set the humidity level at 50, within 2 hrs we could tell a difference. And, at night, what a peaceful sleep we got - wonderful clean and fresh air...We had mold problems during the hurricane several years ago and we could still smell the musty old odor - well, not anymore. This machine is so quite ( we are light sleepers) and the casters are great to scoot it anywhere we wish...we have 2160 sf and usually leave it in the master suite area. From the time we took it out of the box, it was all programmed within 5 minutes-could not ask for a better machine. The heat that it expels when the dehumidifier is working only increased our electrical bill about $10! We turn it off at night and leave it on from morning to bedtime. We are so pleased and you will be as well, so if you need one of these, stop your search and buy this. You will be extremely satisfied. Well made and easy to use
This dehumidifier is as-advertised.
I use it in a laundry room with not-so-good ventilation. I run it for 1 hour after using the washing machine and the humidity is largely gone. Any issues with the size of the bucket can be avoided by connecting a hose to the output nozzle and running it directly to a sink/drain.
The machine is very easy to use and is quieter than an average window air-conditioning unit.

Good as expected
I bought this for my trailer. In cold weather when camping we had humidity condensation on the bedroom wall above our heads in bed. I do not want mildew. I have only had this for several weeks now and it is now December, so I can't talk about summer. Currently I keep it 45 degrees in the trailer; it is 30 degrees outside. It uses 225 watts when the compressor is on and 35 watts when only the fan is running. The noise from the compressor is very low - almost hard to tell when it is on over the fan noise. The fan noise seems about normal, quiet, but not super quiet. I like the setting on % humidity going down to 40%. I have it set on 50%. It took perhaps 4 hours to lower the humidity from 70 to 50 (on the device meter). The other humidity meter I have reads about 57, but I think that is expected. My intent is simply to dry out the trailer as much as possible without going over board. The water container has not yet filled, but I'm sure I could put a leak proof connection on it. However, I set the AD400 in the shower, so I don't care if it spills. I like the size and the nice handle. I would have more to say about its features after using it for 6 months.

Small and powerful
I am using this dehumidifier in a basement. However it is so quiet that I wouldn't hesitate using it in a bedroom. It runs so quietly that I am constantly drawn to check the fill light. It works so well that I will plumb this into a drain.
There are only two downsides to the unit. It is about one quarter the size of the unit it replaced so the bucket has to be emptied more often, and it doesn't completely shut off. The fan runs constantly circulating and filtering the air even when it is dry enough.

More Comfy in Seattle
I live in Seattle in an apartment without a bathroom fan, so moisture is a big problem. The unit is working great, and my apartment is much drier, more comfortable and it feels warmer without turning up the heat. It fills up about every 36 hours. It is not as quiet as I expected it to be, but not terrible. Shipping was very quick. I recommend this dehumidifier and Air-n-Water.
