Like the NewAir AD-40A, the AD-400 is a large-capacity, compressor-driven dehumidifier that is perfect for larger areas. However, what sets the AD-400 apart is the inclusion of a built-in adjustable humidistat that allows you to set the unit to dry the air to the level you choose (from 40% to 80%; in increments of 5%). Therefore, the unit automatically sets the humidity value to your specifications. The automatic defrost function prevents freezing or quickly cycling in lower temperatures. Operation is also super-quiet: rest assured that although the AD-400 is powerful, it won't disturb your indoor environment.

Other great features include a 24-hour timer; adjustable fan speeds; low temperature operation capabilities; and an easy-to-read and intuitive control panel. For cleaner air, the NewAir AD-400 dehumidifier also has an ionizer for particles and an activated carbon filter for noxious odors.

Currently residing in my older motorhome, and condensation is a big problem. Research suggests that a dehumidifer would help with this problem. The dehumidifer purchased (AD400) is performing excellent, removing up to 3 gallons daily on low. The living conditions are now so much more comfortable. The machine is of excellent quality, the design takes of very little room, and is very quiet in it`s operation. I would definitly recommend this product for those with a moisture problem and limited space for setup. The design is sleek, quiet in operation and very inexpensive to operate. A must for the avid RV`er.

My basement had flooded and there were no de-humidifiers available locally at the time I needed it. I chose the one I did because of it's light weightness and the fact it could be used as an air filter also. It has been running non-stop for almost two weeks and is performing great. I liked the design. It is easy to use and moves around on wheels with ease. I had thought the water collection container was going to be bigger though. For anyone looking for an easy to use, very quiet light weight de-humidifier, this is the one.

We have extra moisture in our home. Anytime we took a shower or did the dishes the house would seem saturated with moisture and condensation would form on the windows. This dehumidifier is excellent. I turn it on for a few hours in the morning and run it for a couple of hours in the evening. I empty the bucket once a day and have noticed a significant decrease of moisture on all our windows! I even seem to be having less allergy symptoms. It has a sleek modern look and is so quiet! So far it has provided us a more comfotable home and it the air even feels healthier. I haven't seen the utility bill yet, so I hope it hasn't increased our electric bill too much.
