Know that it will set a bit away from the wall since the company did not provide a condensed tube to go through the window -- and know that the window insert to exhaust the hot air is not desigined as well as possible -- we had to modify it a bit because of a windowsill on the inside. All that being said although heavy, it was well packed and arrived undamaged. It works well and is quite quiet we have it in a very big room and it helps cool it down but cannot do it all - but we knew that would be the case.

We were very disappointed with the product. The first unit did not work correctly, leaked on the floor and would not cool the room. We sent it back for a xmlnsnt and it was also defective. The positive: it was quiet and easy to install.

I bought this portable air conditioner to use in my insulated and finished out garage. Middle Tennessee is infamous for hot/high humidity summers, apparently too much for this unit. My garage space is roughly 400 sq feet which the ad stated it should handle. On a 96 degree day I ran the unit all day and the coolest the garage got was 89 degrees, I hope the heater does a better job this winter. Condensation collection is another problem.

The unit came double packed so that there was no damage at all. It was a bit heavier than I expected, but once opened the handles on the side made it easier to move. The kit to fit a window is not all it should be but we made it work in a small/narrow window. There should be tabs to hold the window kit into the double hung window easier, but once in we have had no problems. We have a very big and spacious living room and dining room combined with 12 ft ceilings in the living room and it will, with another fan to keep the air moving, cool down this huge area to comfortable levels. The rotating louvers are nice but sometimes stick and probably could have more range on them so you can direct the air where you want it.
Overall no problems other units have according to their reviews and it works quite well.
Note that the unit sits quite a bit into the room when the window for venting is above it - that is because the tube to vent is large and there is no way designed into it to allow for a 'close to the wall' installation.

This unit was great the first month. But then I noticed the auto shut off and alert when tank is full NEVER worked. So within a few hohrs of using the air, the tank would over flow and FLOOD my room. At first I didn't know, and thought I just didnt hear the beep, or I was just doing something wrong. I would have to dump it every half hour before it had a chance to get full. Ruined my carpet and floorboards underneath because of the daily/weekly flooding. Got a xmlnsnt. The second unit worked for two months, then the horizontal sweep broke (vertical vents) now I have to manually turn them.
PROS: compact, not extremely heavy, heater works great, remote control, large display,
CONS: aside from the two previous issues), air conditioner is just ok, unless sitting right in front of it, housing is flimsy and you hear rattling when the unit is on, drainage tray is SMALL so expect to dump the tray at least 4 times before the entire tank is empty.
*NOTE If you turn thr unit on by the button then you sit down to adjust speed, temp etc with the remote, you will have to then push the power button on the remote or it will NOT work.

We bought this unit because we wanted a portable air conditioner and heater. The heater works great but I wasn't sure if you had to hook the vent up in order for it to work properly. I later found out you need to. A/C cools down the room quickly. This is just what we needed. The only downside for me was the fact that the instruction manual was not very helpful, not much information in it.

This unit was defective and replaced by an ACP-1000. The xmlnsnt unit worked great for about two weeks and had the same problems. The remote quit working and then the horizontal sweep broke. The thermostat is about 10 degrees off. I have to set it on 82 in order to get a 72 temperature. The problem is not with Air & Water but with the product. I have disposed of the packaging so it would be a problem to return the unit. I will just move the air flow by hand until I can afford to try another brand.

We use the product in a garage that was converted into an office. It works better in the winter for the heating mechanism than it cools in the summer. Because of the humidity, we have to empty the reservoir at least once an hour during the summer, and when you are in the middle of a project or on the phone that can be a little bit of a bother when the unit shuts down to be emptied. Don't like the reservoir pan where it is. It is hard for an over 50 to constantly get on their knees to empty the cumbersome not deep enough pan.
