I am very satisfied with the New Air 13,000 BTU portable air conditioner/dehumidifier I purchased from Air N Water. The directions are straightforward and easy to use. The two features I like the most, is the remote control and timer; which make operating the air conditioner effortless. I also like the fact that this unit has casters, and can be easily moved if necessary. The dimensions are very good; it doesn't require a lot of space. Appearance and color of the unit are satisfying and will complement any room. The 13,000 BTUs was sufficient, the temperature stay's very comfortable, and the unit is very quiet as well. The unit cools wonderfully! However I have to empty the unit every 1 to 2 hours like clockwork. It's hard to get anything done when we have to empty it so often! The accessibility to the drain is difficult to get to without spilling. I think they can re think this, and not state the emptying buckets are a thing of the past.... July 14, 2010

Here in New York, temperatures have been 100 degrees with high humidity. Today I had to empty the water tank after just 6 hours. The water does not seem to evaporate at all. And as far as cool-not today. Maybe it's being in the basement or the unit itself. I purchased this unit to be able to handle the hot weather we endure. July 7, 2010

The unit does cool as stated...however the outlet cord needs to be longer & it does drain out water-lots of it! The drainage pan you provided for the excess water is way too small. I knew some water would have to be released every so often but I find myself doing it every day after 12 hours or so. The unit is in the basement & works well otherwise. July 6, 2010

Please send me another survey in another 6 weeks as it has not been hot enough to use the unit yet. However I was completely impressed with the customer service we received. I called to explain a problem with unpacking the unit (the problem was from our own doing as I explained to the customer service person.) She immediately e-mailed me return instructions, a return label and had a new unit sent out. We repacked the first unit and returned it. The company ate the expense. I will do business with this company again and will recommend them even though I haven't even used the unit yet. May 11, 2010

The unit was purchased for my elderly parents. My father (who has dementia) and my mother (his primary caregiver) live in an Assisted Living residence, and their apartment was often over 80 plus degrees. My mother reports that the installation went well (handled by one of the handymen who are on-site), and that she is now comfortable in her 75 degree apartment. I could go on all day talking about how great this machine is. Ive used so many different portable air conditioners and this is the best one out there right now! Its better than the acp-1400 and the others. If you want something to make you colddd then this is the best one! Im about to buy my 2nd one since im so satisifed with this one!! If you have a small room or need something cheaper go with the acp-1000e but if you have the money then for sureeee go with this one. You can't go wrong! March 18, 2010
