We don't need air conditioning very often in the Northwest but on some 90 degree days last summer, some cooling was necessary. Even though the ACP-1000 is rated for a small space, we wanted to see if it would help cool the upstairs of our home (about 1600 sq. ft.). With the help of an attic fan in the morning, the ACP-1000 then kept the area at about 75 degrees all day. The installation was pretty easy other than having to cut the metal slide (which was too long for our window casement). We also are very pleased with how quiet the unit is when operating. I would rate this product much higher than good. We are very satisfied and have recommended the ACP-1000 and Air & Water, Inc. to friends.

I ordered the AC in July, one of our hottest months, for a small office with tall ceilings and lots of computer equipment. I have extremely old crank-type windows so I wasn't able to vent the AC as well as I would have liked, but even with the window not sealed well it kept my office around 75 degrees. It probably would have been even better if I could have figured out a way to seal the window better when venting.
