Good idea but poorly made
The frame was slightly dented when I received it but I didn't notice it until a year later. No big deal, I bent it back. In the process I noticed the parts don't fit together very well (not caused by the dent), the glue that is supposed to glue the wires down barely touches the wire, and the fan motor protrudes into the filter space and crushes the filter slightly. I don't know how to measure the performance or energy efficiency so I just put average.
Before I bought this I duct tape a furnace filter directly to a box fan. Changing filter is a pain but I could use 4-inch thick filter. Maybe I should just go back to doing this.

I was so happy to find this product....and the folks at "Air & Water" seem to be the only ones who carry it. I live in dry southern CA (lots of dust) and also have allergies, yet often in the evening you want to put a fan in the window to cool things down. What better than a box fan with a built-in air filter! I love it.

I thought air would be sucked-in and blown out through the filter, creating white noise, filtered air, but not wind. It actually sucks-in through the filter side and blows out the filtered air. It is a very nice, quality product, just not what I need at this time. I would recommend it.

I am glad I found this product online from air-n-water. We had been buy a Lasko until it was disc. The Air king is a great product. We have a cat and a dog, this help with keeping the pet hair at a minimum.
