I ordered 3 of these fans based on reviews I had read on this site. The reviews were correct. The fans are solidly built, look nice, don't take up much space, are quiet and cool a large room really well. I would definitely recommend this model.

I live in what would be termed an "enclosed patio" with no insulation. I bought the 20" Air King as the decibel rating was the same as the 14", which doesn't seem possible, and isn't (rating the motors). The 9220 pushes too much air to be quiet, although it's quieter than any 18" fan I've tried lately. So I bought the 9214 to complement the 9220. I'll use the 9220 when it's a scorcher, then the 9214 when it's cooler as it pushes enough air for most anyone's needs, but I enjoy it particularly when it's cool enough to set on LOW. This is truly whisper quiet--a feature I thought I'd never find since my Patton died and newer ones don't compare. So, if you don't need a fan that creates wind like you'd see on a movie set, but are looking for a fan that is sturdy, moves a lot of air, yet will be quiet on low speeds, the 9214 is perfect. And from Air-N-Water the price was the best on the net with shipping to match.

I have an older patton fan that needed to be replaced and found I couldn't buy the same quality anymore because of the made in China crap and the stores all have the same junk. I took a chance on ordering this fan sight unseen, but it appears to be a quality product. I cannot find any markings on the fan where it is made, that bothers me. I received prompt delivery from Air & Water.

I use the fans for circulation of air in the basement of my home, and they run continuosly. The fans are surprisingly quiet, and are far superior to competing models that I have used in the past. The 3 speeds and tilt function provide all of the flexibility that I need for their intended use.

I purchased this product because needed a good air circulator for a house without air conditioning. This unit is perfect - it features a good design, solid appearance, and workmanship I particularly like the sealed ball bearing motor. I would recommend this product for most air circulating applications. It moves a good quantity of air and is a perfect size for portability and power.
