"I chose the 9122 as a replacement for a 23 year old window fan for the bathroom that had finally worn out. I was not successful in finding a replacement of the correct size locally. Upon receipt, I was thrilled to see it was the same as the item I was replacing. The only difference is that the old fan guard was metal and the new fan guard is plastic. Neither product affects the performance of the fan. It was easy to install and is the same size and configuration as the fan it replaces. I would recommend this product If you want to vent a small window, i.e., bathroom, workroom, etc. This fan is quiet, has two speeds and is reversible for intake or exhaust. It is perfect for our needs."

"I purchased the 9122 to draw kitchen odors and cigarette smoke outside. I believe I got a good deal for the price. In retrospect, maybe I should have chosen a larger or more powerful unit, but the fact is, cig odor is diminished and my smoke detector has not squawled from cooking, and trust me, I gave it a test. Of course, the decision of the unit was mine so the only real complaint is a constant rattling noise. However, I believe I can solve that with reinforced mounting and/or some sealant or silicone type material. I thought the product rather plain but it is flexible. I expected variable speed not just hi/lo. It mounts well allowing me to open/close window behind it and I'm sure they'll come a time when I reverse the fan."
